RiverShock said:Well, all of those were pretty terrible changes... As much as people like to whine about Catcher, its reliability kept a lot of things in check. And no attack first turn penalizes decks that use set-up attackers... Preventing donks is one thing, but this is a terrible way of doing that.

If they want to bring Mega evolution to the TCG and to make them powerful without damaging the already existing EX cards, I think they did the best by changing catcher
without and with the new first turn rule ,none basic Pokemon are going to have an easier set-up. IMO

I literally jumped out of my bed with happiness just now after reading the first turn rule. Sure, it's not perfect, but FINALLY there's a disadvantage to going first.
...and then I nearly punched through my wall at the catcher ruling. What the heck? Coin flips are dumb. They just make the game more luck based, and when you turn one of the best cards in the game into a flip, it's adding a stupid amount of luck. I'll have to see what XY provides us with though before complaining any more.
Seriously, I am like in shock about the first turn rule though. I wasn't expecting them at all to change it, and a change was badly needed.
