(1) This Week's 'Pokemon X' and 'Y' News Releases [6/10]

"Players may see different Flabébé holding flowers of different colours when encountering them in the wild. Flabébé is able to draw forth hidden powers that lie within its flower and use those powers in moves while battling."

Something tells me this is going to be fun... New Hidden Power mechanics? A new move?

Red flower = Fire move
Blue flower = Water move
Yellow flower = Electric move

so on and so forth...

"Step outside the house you just moved to and soon meet four new friends that will embark on a journey around the Kalos region with you."

I, uh... Really hope that this is only a small part of the game. Like, I hope it's done the same way as previous rivals, where you just cross paths with them every so often. I don't care much for the idea of constantly being followed and talked at D:

Boy, that would be pretty cool.

I wonder what shiny Noivern would look like...

I bet you have to like... shake your 3ds while the Pokemon is levelling up in order to get Scatterbug to evolve into Spewpa... Or maybe you have to blow into the 3ds microphone to make it level up!

I recognized something. I'm not sure, if someone wrote it before me, but Vivillon reminds me of Mothim; it is said, that Vivillon's wings are beautiful or something so, but I personally think, they have resmblance with those of Mothim's, although I don't say, both of those Pokémon are made from "garbage", I only noticed the fact of some similarity. To this leads me the fact, that both of those Pokémon evolves from something "not-so-beautiful", beacuse Burmy is just "worm-with-cloak-of-garbage" and Spewpa is similar case (at least for me).

Lol... Litleo... Scatterbug... They're really putting effort on the names...

About not being able to have a team with all eeveelutions: If there was an eeveelution for each type, then you could have three teams of eeveelutions (either with eevee being the normal one or a normal type evo for eevee)...
Not saying it should be done, just saying...

Finally, you guys (english speakers) definitely don't know how to react when you see accents... Flabébé is pronounced as Fla-beh-beh... open vowels...

"Early in your journey, you'll meet four special friends whom you'll encounter frequently throughout your adventure. All five of you will be given Pokémon and Pokédexes for your travels around the Kalos region."

Distributing three starter Pokemon to five wannabe-trainers? Might end in trouble.

Doesn't another rumor said you can choose a Kanto starter, too? So your character might be the one who gets a Kalos and a Kanto starter, while the other four are distributed to the rest of your group?

Scatterbug's attacking animation showed it spreading blocks from its little bib. Interesting...

Reminds me of a cross between dandruff and the Twilight Realm's effects from LoZ: TP. Those little bugs intrigue me for some reason. I wonder if there's another, corrupt evolution. Probably not :v

Ok so i noticed something: If you look closely in the trailer the boy at the table and in the forest doesn't wear a hat....in an early screen shot we saw the female protagonist not wearing a hat while the boy was...this leads me to believe that...
Your gender counterpart will not wear its hat..I could be wrong but that's what I think. What do you guys think?

it's true, i only hope that we can still remove our characters hat if we want to, E3 said we can change our players hairstyles, clothes and i think they accessories. If this is truely the case, i will be so happy!

Maybe in X and Y you will be able to sail to Unova. Kind of like HeartGold and SoulSilver.

Won't happen lol, Pokemon games were never meant to have two regions, the only reason they did this for gold and silver was because they thought it was going to be their last game. Pokemon was meant to stop after gold and silver, but the games did so well that Pokemon became a solid franchise both in and outside the united states. That is why no game has had two regions since.

Welcome to Vaniville Town
And after seeing Tierno's shirt, man am I hungry.

Flabébé? Wow, Generation 6 is so French.

speaking of that guy, I fully expect a rival battle where the pokemon have to dance, they just have to.

That wouldn't be fair. Scrafty and Hitmontop would automatically win.

I was going to say "I HIGHLY doubt they thought Gold and Silver was going to be their last game" but since I like to do research before I argue, I found that you're right...which is weird, how could they possibly have thought two generations would be enough? Lol...I'm REALLY REALLY glad they didn't stop after Gold/Silver

I'm really happy with everything shown today. I like the names, characters, all of it. Litleo is quickly becoming one of my favorite Pokemon, and I'm glad he didn't get a dumb name. Wonder what he'll evolve into?

Additionally, it's so cool that some of the things in the anime like traveling with partners and sky battles are coming to the games. Can't wait to see how it works out! Sounds like there will be plenty of fun things to experience in X and Y and this is only the tip of the iceberg!

Your a nice guy, thanks for being kind, they thought gold/silver would be the last games because they figured kids would get bored and sales wouldn't be as nearly as good as red and blue. They figured the game would get low sales, due to the fact that Pokemon green version sold so horribly in japan at first. The creators realized green version did so bad because the Pokemon were ugly, they remade red and green as red and blue and the games took off. They did not think gold/silver would do good, but it did fantastic; thank god.

Here's where I am confused. That mysterious source that sent WPM all that info...That source has been right about everything so far, except he said you would have 2 rivals- One friendly, one competitive. According to this info, we have 4 rivals?
