That confirms that shinies are returning, and what color gogoat's shiny is. The question is, did they reveal Gogoat's shinyness on purpose? I have never seen a shiny Pokemon in a pokemon trailer.

That just seems like a ligthtning in the room issue, the ligth is pointing to the screen making it ligther but obviously, Shinies are ingame for sure.

Iirc the source said SE against dragon, fighting and dark

Thats what the insider told us however in the trailer gardevoir uses fairy dance on hydreigon and doesnt ko it...then again we dont know how powerful the move is and gardevoir is but idk if its supper effective and I actually hope not cuz i dont want my precious pangoro(pancham evo) to be x4 weak to fairy

Exactly, don't need anymore of my favorites being weak to fairies.

One idea I had about Helioptile and Shishiko is that they'll be the 'new Electabuzz/Magmar'. (there may also be an Ice/Normal to form a trio).
They both have an elemental first type with a secondary Normal (something we haven't seen before). They both look like they could evolve into some mean things.
OR could we be seeing the first stages of our Psuedo Legendaries?
Helioptile's design could go in any direction, but Shishiko I'm thinking is gonna be: either a fire lion OR a Fire/Poison manticore (this can already be pointed to due to its tail resembling a stinger).

Both have the potential to have very cool designs, either way.

Wow, after weeks of slow news the last two days felt like an information overkill.

I don't even know where to start. I'm really impressed by a bunch of things that were revealed at E3 and in CoroCoro... the design of the new Pokemon, new game mechanics and battle variants and probably most of all the ingame graphics - THIS is what a Pokemon game should look like; still psyched.

As for the new Pokemon, this generation's designs convince me at first sight, which didn't happen for the last three generations. They always had some Pokemon I really liked, but also masses of those I didn't get into even after years. This time it's different, even the Pokemon I don't love right from the beginning are still interesting in one way or the other.

Noivern is probably my favorite among the lately revealed ones, combining a (fruit) bat and a boombox and furthermore this fierce look... just awesome.

Skrelp and Clauncher seem to be two casual Water types of Gen6. I like both of them, however I can see them as version-exclusive counterparts, so you might have to trade for one of them.

Vivillon lives up to the standards Butterfree and Beautifly set for butterfly Pokemon. Too bad it's again Bug/Flying type. (Actually I hoped for Bug/Fairy when I first saw it)

It's pre-evos... Meh. All I can say about those two guys is that they are rather plain and featureless. Since I guess they are the early-game bugs and you've got Vivillon at Lv.10 (or 20 at the latest), I don't care much about their design.

Talonflame: I always preferred the early-game birds (assuming that Fletchling is one) which evolved to raptors. Exchanging Normal for Fire upon evolution is a nice alternation.

Lion cub: I hope it is Kalos' Shinx, available pretty early in the games and evolving into a badass final lion king form with a flaming mane (at least male individuals). However the design of it goes a little bit overboard with this cute-puppy-factor for my taste. (And again secondary Normal type???)

Fairy-on-flower: a Pokemon based on the symbiosis between a fairy and a flower is an interesting concept IMO.
I wonder if it's part of an evolution line, in that case I can see something like a pre-evo looking like a fairy without flower (basically Furabebe's head and it's wing-like ears, making it a clone of a fairy from TLoZ), then comes Furabebe, which lives in symbiosis with its flower (protecting it against plant eaters in exchange for nutritious pollen) and it's evo would be a fusion between the fairy and the flower, Fairy/Grass obviously.
A Pokemon line portraying the advancing co-existence of two species, from single individuals to symbiosis to conflating into one lifeform would be amazing.

Different lighting isn't going to produce that much of a color difference. Notice the grass fluff is about the same lightness, but slightly more blue, and the light undersides are bright yellow as opposed to tan, the hoofs are a slightly darker red, and the horns are more bluish. I have no doubt it's Shiny, and I think they probably showed it on purpose, since Shinies were mentioned on the slide showing all the reasons that Pokemon is interesting.

Its shiny with 0 doubt. no lightning issues would cause that change. photoshop yes, being a photo of a screen in a lit room no.

When it was just Helioptile I was still thinking it might have an explanation, but now that there is another seemingly casual pokemon... I'm starting to get the feeling the reason is something stupid like
"there isnt enough pokemon weak to Fighting... lets go through the list again and just add Normal to some single types..."
or something.

Either way, its inconsistent with the past 5 gens and hopes for there being an actualy reason for that are getting smaller and smaller.

lol, heres a crazy idea. Since they're retyping old pokemon due to fairy, hwo would you like seeing Normal added to random pokemon like Arcanine and whatnot?

I dont see it happening, but it would make more sense then.

^Exactly. Also, now that you mentioned it, Normal has somewhat been associated with terrestrial mammals with no specific element. Even though there are non-mammal normal-types, they are rare (not counting the Normal/Flying birds, those look like they form a club of their own)...

Helioptile's design could go in any direction, but Shishiko I'm thinking is gonna be: either a fire lion OR a Fire/Poison manticore (this can already be pointed to due to its tail resembling a stinger).

I don't know you guys think it is shaped like a stinger... Given that it's a Fire-type, to me, it just looks like a simple shape of a flame...

How about we make Fairy weak to normal? Nothing like getting punched in the face with reality.

It resembles a scorpion stinger. When it was first revealed, I thought it was a flame, but now I look at it more and it resembles a stinger.

When Helioptile was first revealed, I thought its secondary Normal could be a placeholder for an unleaked new type, but now we have Shishika (and the 2 look like there's not really any type they'd have in common) I'm starting to think that GF are just spicing things up, using Normal as a secondary type.
It's not what I would expect. I've usually thought types were: type1=main elemental association, with type2=something it can use alongside, or something to do with habitat.
Take the Grass/Poison mons for example. They're clearly plants. They're able to use Poison moves because they have some kind of poisonous spores or something. Bibarel is another good example, since it has no defining qualities that would make it a 100% Water mon, but since its habitat is river banks, it's enough to warrant a secondary Water type.

Then there are some that incorporate both into their design, having a 50/50 balance of elemental association. These would be things like Toxicroak, Medicham, all the Bug/Poisons, Abomasnow etc.
I'm assuming that the 50/50 thing is being used for Helioptile and Shishika, except none of them look like they'd be Normal at first glance.

Back on track, are there any more chances that there's gonna be more leaks? Because we've had these since yesterday, and going by what WPM said about Mewtwo's second forme being revealed here before the movie, I assumed it would be here.
Unless they're keeping it as a major wow factor for the actual movie, or keeping it very last minute and revealing it next month.

Few things would make me happier.

the sky at night during one of the sky battles looked awesome with the stars and stuff

So I guess that confirms day/night is returning of course. I still wonder about seasons?

Also I know some other people must want a dragon eeveelution to go with Sylveon right?

I don't see a big change, just the grass and the fur being a little ligther the rest looks the same.

Well if it is indeed shiny, its a pretty sucky one.

TalonFlame.....you may be possibly my favorite super special awesome beginner bird since Staraptor, especially how EPIC the Brave Bird was, being the first to show the awesome Sky Battle.
Fairy type is awesome too. I kinda half believed it, not really caring until it was released or not. It will be fun to watch my younger brother's big bad lovable dragons to fall to Sylveon (the eevelution he dislikes) once X and Y come out. :D
Dragon really have been kinda over powered a bit, AND very torturous in all my battles (Lance, Cynthia's Garchomp, Lance, Clair, Lance, did I mention Lance?).

Finally, all I've got to say is POKEMON-AMIE FTW!!!!!! To play, interact with the guys who are the friends who you captured on your adventures, it's a dream come true. I hope it this news ties in with a success in transferring Poekmon to these games. I'd love to interact with all of my pokemon teams that I made in all my past adventures, especially my first team from SoulSilver. ^_^

I kind of agree on the in-game overuse of Dragons, in particular when you played the PWT and the Champion in BW2 where it was getting quite repetitive at times.

It's not like all shinies have to be super-extravagant, right?

Dewgong, Garchomp, Articuno, Zapdos, Pikachu, Gengar, Flareon, Seaking, Xatu, Shiftry, Lunatone...I could go all day with this.

I actually prefer the shinies that aren't face-punchingly different, because that can turn out ugly. Krookodile, for example. Would have preferred just a simple change in body color to brown or yellow or something, as opposed to this mess:

I do hope we will be able to transfer our Pokemon. I have been stocking up my PC with my favorite Pokemon form across the five gens and training them each to Lv. 100 because I can't wait to see how they look in 3D and battle with them! If we don't get to transfer, I'll be fairly disappointed but I'll understand.

I JUST WANT MORE EEVEELUTIONS!!!

...So is that new PHP programmer going to give us a dislike button? I hope so.

But in all seriousness, I felt like Eevee was going overboard once Glaceon and Leafeon came along. I really liked its concept at first, but... Now it's just gotten old. The next largest branched evolution family is the Hitmons, and there's only three of those. Eight doe-eyed fox-cat-rabbit demons is enough.
