(2) BW5 Commercial's Cards, New Article [3/1]

Just took a quick look at the translations. Giratina EX, meh, nothing too special, probably won't see much play. Rayquaza EX though? Oh mayn...that card is goooood. I like seeing a really good EX revealed but at the same time I don't like seeing a really good EX in the format just because it's kind of a step in the wrong direction. We don't need basics dominating our format! D:

I don't think anyone of those two will see to much play...
There kinda....disapointing. xC
Hope the other EX won't be on the same level.

Oh wow, somehow I completely missed the commercial even though I watched the whole episode. Huh.

Maybe it's just the low resolution, but I really can't stand Rayquaza's art. A shame it's Giratina fatty-forme as well.

eh... Giratina-EX isn't very good... but its art is cool. I hope they also make an EX card for its Origin Forme...
Rayquaza-EX has the same attack of the first Rayquaza-ex card, only stronger...

Giratina with Grass Psychic attacks eh? I guess it doesn't help that he looks like a ghastly millipede. Ok fine, a ghastly hexapede.

More totally absurd energy costs (girataina taking grass energy? really?). Greeeeeat...

Anyways, I could very well see Rayquaza getting slipped into some Eel decks. Curious to see the rest of the set.

I think the general reaction when it comes tot he Dragon cards that are being announced is "meh". Their attacks aren't anything spectacular - most of them have no side effects aside, they are bare bone attacks. The energy costs are crazy random, making them hard to fit into any deck unless excessive Prism and Rainbow energy are used. I don't see too much play coming out of these cards - aside from being decent Dragon card counters. Though, none of the Dragons so far have been too playable in the competitive format.

We'll have to see what Dragon Energy looks like. It will be the crux - will it provide multiple types of energy? Increase damage, reduce damage, or some other fabulous effect that will make these cards more extravagant? We'll see!

Giratina is "meh" like previously mentioned. But for Rayquaza I think it is a different story. Just think of AbilityBoar with him, or the eels even? I think he has good early and late game use. Prism's could be quite effective on him as well.

Most exciting thing was the Hopip, does this mean another jumpluff :D
Both EX's aren't that great. Rayquaza might see some play, don't think giratina will see much if any =/

JUMPLUFF EX GO! *dreams*

A new set; and it features dragons! Hopefully Kyurem will get a dragon card, and... would it be too much to ask that his new forms get a representation in the TCG this early?

[C] Entangling Pull: Switch the Defending Pokemon with 1 of your Benched Pokemon.

Is there an error here, or is it just some crazy new idea

Old School Rayquaza EX would be pound of his new version! Let's all build a "BAR" deck again :)

I guess rayquaza is the new ohko pokemon now he does what magnazone dose without the draw power and since he benefits from two energy accelerator cards and one retreat he will wipe the board of anything you need him to.

I could see Rayquaza seeing play, especially because {drg} will not be a prominent type.

Not to mention again that there attacks are so random it almost makes them un playable and I hope that the dragon energy is better then a prisim energy for dragon types.

I like Rayquaza. With Sky arow bridge(?) it get free retreet and can charge up with the eels. Only bad things is that you need a fire energy or prism-energy to use its attack. But being able to KO just about anything is nice.

I was a bit confused with the "[G]" on Giratina's attacks. I'm used to Giratina being portrayed with Ghost-type properties in the TCG, so I thought this was a new Ghost-type energy too.

No they just want to ruin dragon pokémon with theses utterly disgusting energy costs.
