lolololololololol

I have been running Eels for the past couple months and, although it's died down in popularity, it's still a pretty solid deck, at least that's what I feel. I don't expect it to just completely take over the format, but it's held up for me pretty nicely.

also lol people suggesting Plasma Frigate in Zekeels. I'll give you a while to figure out for yourselves that that is the worst possible thing you could do for yourself.

eels is going to make a comeback after Lugia mercilessly murders landorus EX rotom is released, just watch as lightning types rule the format, again...

It probably will (I'm not being sarcastic at all, I seriously think it will). But one deck isn't going to be an issue. If you face Eels, don't bench Tornadus, it's as simple as that. Other then Thundurus EX (which will probably only be used in a few decks), there's next to no other Lightning types, meaning Tornadus is useful in almost every other match up. I really hate that logic that one deck will ruin a cards playability. Garchomp didn't make RayEels unplayable.

oh so that's what you meant :|

I think people are thinking that because normal tornadus EX and Empoleon weren't very playable when they first came out due to eels and only eels :| (same thing is happening now, White Tea is one deck, but it completely changed the playability of an otherwise tier 1 deck)

Tornadus-T EX will probably be very good, just not great. The reason isn't it's weakness either. the problem is it's a cleffa wannabe that can be catcher ko'd for 2 prizes at any point in the game... but it will still see play I think...

I never said Eels wasn't good, I'm just saying Eels and Eels alone won't turn Tornadus T EX into a unplayable card.

What deck has White Tea destroyed? This is the first time I've heard White Tea destroying a decks playability. That's also a little different, since a lot of stuff from White Tea is in other decks. Darkrai, Ho-Oh, Landorus/Stuff, Garbodor and even Eels can all run Colorless Pokemon with Aspertia. Lightning stuff pretty much only exists within Eels.

Also, I'm pretty sure Empoleon just wasn't very good back then. Empoleon was way too slow compared to Eels, Darkrai and CMT. And Tornadus EX was still used in CMT... or wasn't it? I don't know, but I'm pretty sure the reason it wasn't used was because Mewtwo was just better in pretty much every deck.

Why are there so few Ace Specs? Will you automatically get both of them in 1 box? Or will there pull rate go down?
...
Also, why does the Kyurem in this set have basically a better version of Kyurem EX's attack?

1st, I actually think that's good. Why so many ACE Specs if you can only run 1 in your deck and it will most likely be Computer Search?

2nd, it doesn't. Kyurem-EX's attack lets it use its other attack next turn. This one doesn't let you attack at all next turn.

white tea pretty much stopped rayeels from being tier 1, remember how it was BDIF before that deck existed? Also empoleon/terrakion was a solid deck back in HS-DEX, it had an okay matchup vs darkrai and CMT, it's only real problem was it's bad eels matchup. Tornadus EX was hyped when he first came out, but at nats almost no one ran him, because he wasted too many cards and I quote "he was just 2 free prizes vs eels."

This new set looks like a lot of fun! Boundaries Crossed has to be the most boring set by far. (Also the set I've spent the least money and time collecting on).

I've excited to begin the Plasma age here in the West. It's just a shame that Stage 2 support still isn't strong and that cards like that Frozen Stadium are punishing non-Plasma deks. :/

BC wasn't boring! It gave us Ace Spec items and Lando EX to spice things up and give tornadus a second chance! I think that Dragons Exalted (yes the set dragons came from) was more boring than this one...

And I agree with that completely. What really hurts it more is that it has 2 retreat (making it hard to leave the active spot), and once it actually does go to the bench, it does nothing more than sit there and take up space. I'm not saying Tornadus-T EX is unplayable to begin with, but those two factors won't really help it.

Hopefully Zekrom will be enough to scare Lugia EX back into the shadows, where it belongs.

I hope zekrom will but in order to do that he'll have to get into a stadium war with lugia (which should end up in your favor if you run 2-3 SAB, but every time they get one zekrom or eel it's like them taking down an EX :s )

okay then, what decks besides white tea (aka Lando/Mewtwo/tornadus) has a high enough landorus concentration to beat rayeels? Speed lando was killed and darkrai only uses it as a tech. It may be one card, but it really only works against rayeels effectively in one or two decks.

Dragons Exalted gave us DRAGONS!! The first new Type added to the TCG in many years! That alone made the set very exciting. :)

Computer Search and Lando, really? Of course those are great cards but, as for building fun decks with the non-EX rares, what's there to play with besides Blastoise and maybe Charizard (for nostalgia sakes). The set is filled with underwhelming, non-interesting cards. So much so that the only cards I've bought from the set are the ones we've mentioned here. That means I've spent (far) less money on BCR than any other Pokémon set to date. :/

Oh THAT'S what White Tea is? I thought it was just Colorless Pokemon. I still stand by my point that Landorus can be in tons of decks, and is, while Eels is pretty much one deck (with 2 main variants).

Dusknoir...

I'm pretty sure White tea does have a high concentration of landorus... unless my info is false (by info I mean stalking 6P :p) although I believe that not all versions of white tea run him...

I suppose it was landorus and not the deck... but whatever :p

I thought White Tea was Tornadus EX + Bouffalant + Mewtwo EX + Aspertia Gym.
I could be wrong, though. But yeah, I could see Landorus in there.
