(2) BW8 Scans and Translations, Plasma Storm Cards [12/12]

I think Cofagrigus (sp?) has potential. At the very least, he protects you from hammers for a turn. And the ability can work nicely with life essence and sableye.

Dragonair is also cool. What we need is an energy or tool that lets you switch after attacking. Then, combined with stoutland, you could create a full trainer lock.

A rattata with 40HP! It's still a sucky card, but at least you have a rattata that's not easy prey for darkrai and lando. Make Raticate decks a little better. (especially with the sleep poison trainer).

Beedrill is kind of cool. 60 plus auto poison and confusion for just one energy. That one shots terrakion, sableye, and emolga. Just needs potions and max potions to keep the damage off him.

Exeggcute = sinister serphent from yugioh. I just don't think the ability is going to be as good in pokemon as it was in Yugioh. IMO 30HP is unacceptable for any pokemon.

Dragon Kingdra! It's like a better ND chandelure.

The new Zekrom and Reshiram are meh. I'd stick with the outrage ones. (and why aren't they dragon type?).

And finally a card other than darkrai to give you free retreat!

BC wasn't boring! It gave us Ace Spec items and Lando EX to spice things up and give tornadus a second chance! I think that Dragons Exalted (yes the set dragons came from) was more boring than this one...

Dragons Exalted gave us DRAGONS!! The first new Type added to the TCG in many years! That alone made the set very exciting. :)

Computer Search and Lando, really? Of course those are great cards but, as for building fun decks with the non-EX rares, what's there to play with besides Blastoise and maybe Charizard (for nostalgia sakes). The set is filled with underwhelming, non-interesting cards. So much so that the only cards I've bought from the set are the ones we've mentioned here. That means I've spent (far) less money on BCR than any other Pokémon set to date. :/

I found some good, fun decks to play with some of the stuff in Boundaries Crossed. There's Raticate (for the lols only (right now...)), Scizor/Garbodor, Scolipede/Toxicroak, Gliscor is also interesting to tech in some spots for a poison stall, And then there's Dusknoir/Flygon variants which are actually mildly competitive. Don't give up hope on BCR just yet! There are fun to play decks in there, they just take a harder look than before.

No, those are all bad rogues. The only good cards out of BC are Skyla, Computer Search, Gold Potion, Landorus EX, Keldeo EX, Blastoise line, and somewhat BKEX.

Dusknoir might be playable in the future, but right now he's really not.

lol @BKEX, Crystal wall is much better than him, and the new BKEX will be far, far better. Also dusknoir is playable as a rogue, and flygon makes some interesting rogues too.

Bisharp is quite playable, for 3 energy it can do 120 damage to dragon types. Problem Hydreigon/Garchomp decks? Not to mention it is also cool.

Well, Bishard doesn't manage to OHKO any dragons after a boost except baby ray, and it is weak to fighting. it will see pretty much 0 play.

Also, anyone else hoping for Umbreon in a theme deck :) or a Kingdra one... yeah man.

What could Kingdra be paired with? Kingdra + Empoleon would be nice but 2 stages 2 complicates it. Maybe Articuno. using its first attack. Giant spread damage. Even Kyurem. Kingdra/Articuno/Kyurem. Take prizes spreading.

Not SER because then you would get energies back. You want to discard them. Of course you have to run CPU Search, Juniper and Ultra Ball to discard a large amount of energies. I am more interested on its second attack.

Only play SER when you have no Energy in your discard after attacking to discard more. IDK I'm trying to think of more discard cards. Perhaps Rayquaza/Kingdra?

Has anyone else noticed that nearly EVERY SINGLE card w/ normal art (aka not EXs, shinies or FAs) features ice in the artwork? It probably has been mentioned before in this thread but I didn't see it.

^It goes with the BW2 story... Team Plasma tried to freeze all of Unova... Although in the games, only the areas around Opelucid and a bit in the northeast were actually frozen, if I'm not wrong...

btw, no Bisharp won't be played because it doesn't OHKO anything significant other than Rayquaza. If the boost was 70 more damage, then it would be more useful (being able to OHKO Garchomps and Hydreigons), but even then I don't know... plus it would most likely be revenge killed in the next turn (90HP isn't much)...

Metalizard is right. Even though Bisharp is cool(love the jumping face to face artwork) it falls to everything not-{DRG}.

with ghetsis in format, will decks run 4 skyla 4 ghetsis 4 colress 4 n? just curious cause this is going to be way in the future.

4 Juniper will still be a staple in most decks because it's our most consistent draw option (juniper always nets you 7 new cards, while all the other supporters are random and can range from 0-10 new cards) I'm thinking that skyla will see less play because we'll finally have better options again, the supporter count should be something like this:

4 Juniper
4 N
3-4 Colress
3-4 Ghetsis

and depending on the deck (some darkrai variants, empoleon etc.) skyla could make an appearance too. At least that's what I'm predicting will happen.

Stage 2 decks will still probably have some Skyla, to get Rare Candies or something to get a stage 2.

yes, I mentioned a couple of them (I was too lazy to write Darkrai/Hydreigon, but skyla will be used in that deck as well) Also Skyla will be used alot in magnezone since you could skyla for another supporter and play it in the same turn.
