(2) New BW Rules, Black and White Collection Images [10/30]

I'm surprised nobody has pointed out the godsend to Gyarados yet...

Professor Araragi

Not to mention that Max Potion as well.

Not to mention that Max Potion as well.

I will agree, that makes it awesome.

I don't mind them one bit. Although, I do hate the new Plus Power change.

Only time will tell if these rules are as bad as you guys are making them out to be.

Some of these are just design changes. Having cards be called "Trainer's" then goods, support, or stadium actually describes them in a possessive form. Trainer lock will still only be on goods or "trainer" cards.
First turn trainer's make going first mean something other then draw, energy, go for most decks.

Rare candy never made much sense in the spirit of pokemon. Then again, neither do SP or BTS... It helps me whenever it comes into play (even tho I am not SP)

It'd be great if 999 out of 1000 deck were luxchomp, I couldn't imagine an easier tournament to win.

Araragi's power is hot. I'd use that card all the time.

that jaroda thingy(using 4) with nidoqueen and blissey pl =epic tanking....Sad 120 heal in 1 turn

Not if Enbuoh screw them all with a sure 150 damage OHKO

Vileplume does not block Supporters or Stadiums with this new change. The Japanese Vileplume specifies "Goods."

Guess what word is still separated in this new "Trainer's" format? "Goods."

I don't think it's too bad. The changes won't come in for ages yet and by that stage without SPs because of rotation it won't affect it that much. It'll be interesting to see what types of decks start appearing next rotation because this rotation hasn't been that game changing

I like the idea of abity's it is a good improvement. Black and white collection would be good with level x cards witch i think they will have them. A level x card would be good with jarlorda he dosent deal much damage.

haha my steelix deck will doom everything with those new changes lmao
My jumpluff deck will sux now o_O
My vilegar deck well idk... shadow room is still good I guess since there is still uxie to snipe lol
my pluffplume deck will still be good if take out my candies and other trainers for a complete lock deck

Overall I like the rules, yeah it's what ive been hoping for! Only problem is if these rules apply with the current format well the top 32 at worlds will be luxchomp. Making me hate sp even more. I wish I could obtain all sp cards existing and make a huge fire with them if these rules apply with the current md-on format. HGSS on format with these rules is really great though, nothing to complain about if this is what we get next year, id be very happy

As for the abilities well I guess it suits pokemon much better then bodies and powers

Woah, did anyone see the Illustrator? It's not a person, but a graphics company. It's 5ban Graphics or something like that. But Prof. Araragi and PokeCenter are done by artist(KS being one of them)

im confused with the "ability" thinggy .. is it different from powers & bodies or a mash of both?

I'm sorry, but I think that they have began to ruin the game, Stage 2 decks are going to go completely out of the format, SP will be the only thing that can be played, and hello to sableye donks on turn one when your active has 80 HP, donks which Pokemon could be trying to eliminate are going to be more popular, and they took all the fun stage 2 decks out of the format with the rare candy rule. Yeh sorry bad move on Pokemon's part I'm very upset.

yeah of course the rules sux for the current format but you have to think about hgss-on like in japan. If pokemon use isnt stupid and dont want to ruin the game, which I presume they dont since they didnt release lost world then I think they wont apply the rules until next year. And if they do well bye bye my 2 best decks, jumpluff and vilegar and hello to my steelix tank lol

So now the rotation will be HG/SS-on? Lol I don't think so. Either way, Stage 2 Decks are still screwed. If Platinum is indeed rotated out and these new (terrible as well IMO) rules come out, then there will be no BTS, but Candy will still be usable. >_> I think there's a lot of bad decisions going on here. You don't combine everything into one name, separate them all, and then combine them again. Absolutely no point to that when everything was fine. And Trainers T1 will make everyone want to go first instead of second lol...

dmaster out.

Let's hope this will not be the case for every card. I really don't like the artwork for the two pokes...

Meh, I'm still gonna play my Stage 2 decks cause most people in my metagame don't run SP's cause they're cheap. At least Stage 2 decks still have Broken Time-Space, Rare Candy basically just works like Pokemon Breeder now instead of being able to use it to get a Stage 1 or 2 out on the first turn you play the Basic off of it.

So now we're forced to play SP's to stay competitive or we're screwed? So much for popular Stage 2 decks such as Tyranitar Prime/Umbreon being Tier 1 or 2, not to mention Charizard and Jumpluff as well. Zard does get hurt by this but it still has BTS to back it up. TPCi or whoever is in charge of the English version of the game needs to clear things up about this situation since it's already getting out of hand.

It's fine with Japan to have these rulings and erratas but for our current format it's not, it would cause alot of people to possibly quit the game, kill a bunch of decks off, among other shenanigans. This isn't healthy for the game period.

I'm pretty content with these changes and it just seems to me that some people aren't taking a moment to apply common sense to the situation. SP's and all that will be gone by the time these are applied for us, more than likely. I was a little disappointed by the Rare Candy change to be honest, but it's probably for the best. I honestly don't see what there is to be upset about by the Abilities thing, same with "Trainer's" encompassing Supporters etc.

These new rulesets are strangely annoying. I wonder if it's some sort of premonition...
...like if the TCG is literally going to start all over again, like it was Base Set and nothing else. I have a feeling it might lean that way, since Rare Candy was given Pokemon Breeder's effect now, and Great Ball was just given Master Ball's effect.

Oh dear.
