I've just realized, shikijika's name could possibly come from "shika," the Japanese name of the sika deer. I hope it's evo looks as good as I imagine, if it is based on the sika deer.

Yeah, I've been doubting it was a Luvdisc evo ever since it was announced there would be only 5th gen Pokemon in this game. There can still be evo's and pre-evo's of past gen Pokemon, but I seriously doubt they'd show them in pre-release stuff if you can't obtain them until getting the national dex.

So if anything it seems like it's just the Isshu "counterpart" to Luvdisc. I think they would have said if it was related to Luvdisc by now :/

There was Electivire during the birth of gen 4. But still a reasonable point.

Oh right, I keep forgetting about the "Electivire scandal" :/ But they at least they immediately confirmed it was Electabuzz's evo right?

Burokko looks awesome, now that we've seen its KS artwork!
Mamanbou, Mother Goose, and Bambi are looking awesome as well.
I have a feeling I'm going to like Bambi's evolution, a lot ^_^
I'm also a big fan of Giruja. Don't know why. I just have a feeling whatever it evolves in will be epic.

Well the Electabuzz Evo had logical similarities between it and itself.

I don't see how Luvdisc would evolve and gain like 650+ pounds.

Yup indeed. When it was shown on Corocoro, it's info page on the scan did say it evolves from Electabuzz.

ハーレム could be either Harlem or harem, but this disctionary says it's harem.

If Mamanbou is the Harem pokemon, not harlem, Harem could mean a number of things:

- the part of a Muslim palace or house reserved for the residence of women.
- the women in a Muslim household, including the mother, sisters, wives, concubines, daughters, entertainers, and servants.
- Animal Behavior. a social group of females, as elephant seals, accompanied or followed by one fertile male who denies other males access to the group.
- Facetious or Offensive. a group of women associated in any way with one man or household: Father joked that he had a harem of five daughters.
