Yeah, I remember reading somewhere that they couldn't finish there work for some reason. Though I don't know for sure if it was due to the Spanish hell they predicted themselves to come.
 
The Mayans weren't around when the Spanish came, it was the Aztec people. And no one knows why they were wiped out, just to clarify.
Anyway, who is going to see the movie coming out in November about 2012?

I think this ain't happening, look in the past, look at all the similar times like this and look! It didn't happen.
 
Yes, I'll agree with you on that note, but those predictions were all made by crackpot fools. This is like the one who decided to make Bible Math to find the end of the world and used the excuse to make up for that it never happened.
I don't believe that it will end, but I will say that something will happen on the date. It is backed by more famous seers than any of the other dates, and if you don't believe me, then Google them:

of course its true one time i was talking to my mom and she said so so we are because thats when it is gonna happen so it is thats how it happens in the real world when it happens and makes it true

I really couldn't understand what you said, but your mom isn't always right. I think that something will happen, but it won't be the end. If we make a wrong choice, we will go on a downwards spiral.

Well, I honestly think the whole
"o noez we is gonna die @ teh 2012!!!111!"
is bull.

The only reason people think this is because the Mayan calendar stops at 2012.

But really?

The only plausible way for us to be wiped out is if someone gets a little nuke-happy, then BAM!
No more people.

But, for all we know, the Mayans may not have had enough time to get past 2012 before they were wiped uot.

The only way you can convince me otherwise is if I wake up on December 21 2012, and there's no world to wake up to.
But, I wouldn't be awake, cause I'd be dead. x_x

People are scared because the Mayan calendar was "so accurate" and they think the world will end in 2012 just because the calendar does.
 
The thing is...it's not just the Mayans. Many other Religions are predicting this. That pretty much convinces me.

They also say that nature spirits feel pain when you cut paper.

So, I need some more reliable proof. >.>
 
In my opinion, I think that the world won't end. Time is an artificial concept created by man, so no being can predict when the world will end. When it does, however, it will be like a thief in the night and surprise you. Plus, half the time people are saying the world is ending...
 
Well 2012 prediction will not occur as:

1. Most major religions haven't stated the world ending on 2012 but from Judgement day which cannot be predicted.

2. If your an Atheist you simply won't believe this as their isn't any proof of the Earth verging near its end.

So really its a no brainer. Also if you do believe the Earth ending so early how comes we haven't seen anything unusual? Surely if something was going to end we would get evidential proof of something occurring yet we don't.
 
The world was supposed to end a few days ago. There was a TOTAL solar eclipse in Asia. It was "prophesied" that the world would end because of it.

Still here. Need I say more? It can happen. It might not happen. There's nothing we can do to prevent it if it DOES happen. Besides, we'd never know.
 
It is totally not true because the end of the world come on that is a joke they say the world will end by alot of things and it didn't and they expect us to believe this yeah right!
