News 20th Anniversary Set in September + Surfing Pikachu and M Slowbro-EX!

I'm guessing we will be getting Burmy, Weezing, Larvitar, or Bronzor as the checklance promos.

Hm, not very happy these three-pack blisters are coming with BREAKThrough packs. Unless that's just a French release thing?

I'm all about that Pikachu deck, though. I'd love to have a shatter holo version of that iconique card.

White Kyurem? Really? It's BLACK Kyurem! How can you guys not tell the difference?

I forgive them for their mistake, as this black kyurem's attacks are similar to that of white kyurem(FAC)...

Anyway, I wonder if it the pikachu theme deck will not make it into english, especially since, according to precedent, they skipped the theme deck in LTR, and replaced it w/ Kalos Starter Set(back in the BW -> XY transition period), knowing LTR was the final set for the BW era, and that XY is a worldwide release for the video games...

^Knowing that, I wonder if S/M1 will be delayed outside English, and if it is, that could justify the pikachu theme deck in such non-English languages rather than immediate Alola Starter Sets in place of the accompanying theme decks... However, time will tell if that is true or false...

Why did they use black kyurem and braixen as the promos why not a gen one pokemon it would have made way more cents especially because this set revolves around gen one

I find it odd that they gave it 10 more HP, but didn't change the discard on Ember to a coin flip like that typically is these days.

Wouldn't have minded a 2-energy Slash (even if it did 30-40 damage) or 90 HP, but at least its retreat cost didn't get bumped up to 2 like the last couple.

One word: "Buzzap."
NEW GEN 7 POKEMON: BUZZAP!
Type: Electric/Bug.
Based on a hoverfly.
These Pokemon are nuisances and love buzzing in people and Pokemon's ears. Don't swat one or you're in for a shock!

Not that this card was ever going to be used but they made it worse. Instead of it being able to become two of any energy for any type of Pokemon in exchange for giving your opponent a prize, it can now only become two lightning energy for a Electric Pokemon. While the attack became better with it gaining 20 damage, losing it's negative coin flip effect and becoming slightly easier to use, the attack is useless in this current meta and now so is the ability, which might of been a cool tech in some decks.
