(5) Lost Link Mini-Set, HGSS Scans, New 5th Gen Games, Less Important Stuff [1/29]

RE: (3) Lots [1/29]

Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes YEESSS!! *happy dance*

I hope this means you can do more with DPP than "migrate" the pokemon off your 4th gen games!

I guess the timing makes sence, 3rd gen went: RS, FRLG, E, ranger. All that's changed is platinum came before HG SS.

(I left out all the awful side games like Dash EWW)

RE: (3) Lots [1/29]

Distribution of movie Jirachi before JAPAN? What's going on here?! O_O

Am I the only person who gets Jirachi and Cerebi mixed up all the time?

RE: (3) Lots [1/29]

Truthfully, I didn't think Nintendo had it in 'em to make a 5th generation (assuming that there will be a 5th generation), so this came to me as a surprise.

This generation has the potential to be better than all the previous, if Nintendo plays it's cards (lol) right. Personally, I can't wait to see what happens next!
*crosses fingers, and hopes for awesome new dark types*

RE: (3) Lots [1/29]

Yay.
Now to hope for no compatibility between the two generations...

Salmon Nap: Japan had the Jirachi last June or so. And it's not a movie event.

RE: (3) Lots [1/29]

Yay. Gen 5. This year though? Seems a bit early. But who am I kidding? This is exciting news.

@Salmon; The Jirachi was distributed last year. It unlocked a PokeWalker course when transferred to HeartGold and SoulSilver.

EDIT: Er, beaten to it. Darn.

RE: (3) Lots [1/29]

Oh sorry, I was confused. I thought they are releasing Cerebi in the US already. LOL.

You mean the Japanese Jirachi from McD Nintendo Zone actually unlocks something in HG/SS?

Didn't realize that, lol. Thanks for the info.

Yeah, that's the one. It unlocks the Edge of the Night's Sky Pokewalker course.

RE: (5) HGSS Scans, New Celebi Forme?, New 5th Gen Games, Less Important Stuff [1/29]

I'm unable to go on for one day due to me being sick, and I miss all of this =0. OK, new HGSS scans are cool, and I'm really happy Jumpluff isn't being cut. Overall, the cards are nice except for the enlarged energy symbols. But, the energy cards are AMAZING. The RL part is a bit of some old news, but I guess the promo cards are nice. 5th generation Pokemon is really cool. Hoping for some older Pokemon to finally get babies/evolutions (we need a Mrs. Mime, the baby form for Kangaskhan, and Dunsparce and Heracross just need an evolution.) Another Pokemon forme... just bores me -_-

RE: (5) HGSS Scans, New Celebi Forme?, New 5th Gen Games, Less Important Stuff [1/29]

So many developments, just in one night.

The most important one to me is the announcement of 5th generation games. That one could get lost in the surge of updates, but it could easily be the most important. The 5th generation games appearing on Nintendo DS is okay with me, but aren't we supposed to hear an announcement on Nintendo's next portable in the near future? Why not drive the new handheld's sales by releasing the new games on a new system? In any case, I'm looking forward to this. Looks like I'm importing again.

Does the holo scans of HG/SS look just a little under-impressive? The Pokemon Prime look great, and the trainer selection looks really good, even for the beginning of a new set block. But the holos so far look like some real losers. The rest of the set looks great. The holo rares, not so much.

Among the trainers are several ways to add draw power to your deck, among them are Bill, which is now a crappy supporter, Professor Oak's New Theory, which has potential, and Copycat, which we've been waiting for. There is a lot of pokemon search potential, including Pokemon Collector which can get you 3 basics (just about any deck will love this, particularly SP decks), Professor Elm's Training Method, which gets evolution cards, and Pokemon Communication which gets you any pokemon you want, even though it's a Trainer. And then there's Pokeball. Pokemon Reversal provides the disruption, and the mandatory support cards are there, like Switch. Moomoo Milk is the only trainer that removes damage counters. It's good, but still risky enough that you can't entirely rely on it.

But, I think we're all looking to get Double Colorless Energy. Am I right?

I'm looking forward to getting another Jirachi at GameStop. Draco Meteor isn't a move that does much for Jirachi besides give it novel appeal, but I do like Jirachi, so I'm getting that for sure. In the meantime, I have Pichu to download for my US games, and a Mew to get over Wi-fi for my Japanese games.

A new Celebi form sounds interesting. I wouldn't mind seeing that, but I want Z to be an entirely new pokemon. Celebi's obviously going to be in the movie, and I'm interested in seeing what role it plays.

RE: (5) HGSS Scans, New Celebi Forme?, New 5th Gen Games, Less Important Stuff [1/29]

Yeah, it's really nice to have to wake up at 6 in the morning to study for a test, go to a club meeting at night for a few hours, edit scans after that, go out to a restaurant as mandated for my club's officers, then come back here again to post all this news. I've been up for 22 going on 23 hours and have a test tomorrow!! @_@

RE: (5) HGSS Scans, New Celebi Forme?, New 5th Gen Games, Less Important Stuff [1/29]

Yesss! These are amazing news!
This is what we've all been waiting for!!
I don't care if its on the DS or the next handheld, heck, I'd play the game on the Game Boy Advance :p
Maybe 2 or 3 years after the next handheld we'll begin to see 6th gen Pokemon haha

RE: (4) HGSS Scans, New 5th Gen Games, Less Important Stuff [1/29]

The fact that he has only half of Ho-Oh posted scares me. I really hope they don't break up the halves in separate packs in our english set. That would suck so much.

RE: (4) HGSS Scans, New 5th Gen Games, Less Important Stuff [1/29]

I took down the story for now. Heerosferret just discovered something that might prove or disprove the whole story. It's funny that we knew the news for over a week and then immediately after posting it she finds something. @_@

RE: (4) HGSS Scans, New 5th Gen Games, Less Important Stuff [1/29]

So is Ruby just not cool enough to be in this newspost? XD

But hooray, fifth gen. Can't wait to see what new competitive developments there will be. I predict a new Garchomp, there will be an item or move introduced that will have to be banned, and a type that previously sucked will own. Of course, this is just common sense.

RE: (4) HGSS Scans, New 5th Gen Games, Less Important Stuff [1/29]

Wait.....Feraligatr, Typhlosion, and Meganium are rare now????

feraligatr.jpg

That's DEFINITELY an uncommon. Great. So PUSA's screwing with rarity too now? Enough is enough! Is it THAT hard to just keep the cards the same as japanese sets?!

They've always screwed with the rarities. And it goes the other way too. Remember the RR leafeon/glaceon that became uncommons?

Also, when someone says 5th gen, do they mean there will be like 100 or more completely new pokemon? IMO there are already too many to remember...
