Ask a Play! Pokémon Question

RE: Ask a simple Play! Pokemon question here!

You can go to as many as you want. The Best Finish limit is for Cities is five, and 8 for BRs, including both Spring and fall.

4 combined for States and Regs, but you can go to as many as you please.

As Gliscor clarified, though I thought it to be obvious, 2 Regs, 3 States.

RE: Ask a simple Play! Pokemon question here!

You can only go to three States and two Regionals because there are only three days where States take place and only two days where Regionals take place. If you can somehow be in more than one place at once, then you could go to more ;]

RE: Ask a simple Play! Pokemon question here!

How many people usually get invited to Worlds each year?

RE: Ask a simple Play! Pokemon question here!

I'm new to this site (Although I made my account in 2009 lol) so I'm still trying to get the hang of this place.

I need help and I'm fairly sure I'm in the wrong place but I can't seem to find a trading thread for Pokémon games! Is this forum only for Pokémon cards? Can someone maybe commet on my profile with a link or something with an active Pokémon game trading thread? I really want a ditto and I would extremely appreciate it if someone helped :(

Thanks.

Henry is right. However, we have no idea what their plans are for this year. They've confirmed there will be rating invites, but they haven't confirmed it will be top 40 like it has been in past years. It's very possible they've recognized that there are far more than 128 great players across the globe, and they'll include more. They made some other great changes this year. However, this is all just guessing, and we'll have to wait and see what happens.

RE: Ask a simple Play! Pokemon question here!

Wow, I thought that 40 was the only number that got invited. Sweet, that gives me a fighting chance :p. There are still going to be invites off of ratings? I thought that they said ratings would only be used as tiebreakers.

RE: Ask a simple Play! Pokemon question here!

so you need 10 play! points to get to nats right? so does that mean anyone who can get to that goal will get an invite? or is there a limited number?

also you get ply! points just for attending right?

RE: Ask a simple Play! Pokemon question here!

5 to go to Nats. Play Points don't give invite, Championship points do. You get those from winning or doing well in tournaments.

In past years the max invites for the US has been 48 in each didvision(rating and T8 nats, although normally T8 nats already have ranking invites so its closer to 40). This doesn't include grinders invites obviously.

RE: Ask a simple Play! Pokemon question here!

Why do invites have a max in the US and nowhere else?

RE: Ask a simple Play! Pokemon question here!

There is a max for every country.

RE: Ask a simple Play! Pokemon question here!

Do you need play points or championship points to participate in Nats?

RE: Ask a simple Play! Pokemon question here!

As of this year, TCG Nationals is not an open event. You will need 10 Play! Points to compete. Not too happy about this change since I probably wouldn't be able to meet those requirements if I go to every tournament in the state of New Mexico :/

While on the topic of Play! Points, does anyone know how many points you get for attending a Cities?

really? only 5 that's cool thanks (I think I have like 3-4 championship points)

another question how would I put down promos when I'm filling out my pokemon list (i.e Zekrom)

Edit: wait what? oh wait Vulpix Yolk thanks for clearing it up xD (I believe I can get to nats if I attend two cities one battle road one regional and one-two states :/)

RE: Ask a simple Play! Pokemon question here!

I'm pretty sure you get 1 point per city, league season, and battle road, and I think like 5 for states and regionals.

RE: Ask a simple Play! Pokemon question here!

Where do you find your play points on your account?
