Where do you find your play points on your account?

you don't xP.... well not yet

they wont do play! points until early 2012 but don't worry any Play! Points you earned before 2012 will be given to you once they get them out there ;)

RE: Ask a simple Play! Pokemon question here!

hello.. :)
I just wondering, is Championship Points are reset every year?
also.. I know, that we need 10 Championship Points to enter Nats now, but how about World Championship? is there any Championship Points requirement? or is it still for free (LCQ)?

RE: Ask a simple Play! Pokemon question here!

You have it mixed up.

Play Points, aka Participation Points (you get 5 when you go to Regs, one at league, etc. are required for Nats.

Worlds only lets the top 40 people in US play. This is decided on Championship Points.

As for your original question, I believe that is unknown, but they most likely do.

RE: Ask a simple Play! Pokemon question here!

how would I put down promos in a sign up sheet for a tournament (i.e Zekrom Reshiram etc.) thanks in advance :3

RE: Ask a simple Play! Pokemon question here!

I have a question!

What if you want to go to a prerelease, but you don't want to play? I suppose I could give it a shot, but I haven't played a game since the Neo-era and back then I sucked... xD

I really just want to get some cards, trade and hang out with TCG fans in my area. I'm not concerned with getting the 2 extra packs and I don't want to enter the tournament and forfeit. That wouldn't be fair to the people who really want to play.

But going does sound like fun and I'd like to meet some Pokemon lovers my age. :)

RE: Ask a simple Play! Pokemon question here!

You should be able to get the 6 packs, Promo card, etc. and then you can ask the Tournament Organizer to drop you out of the Tournament. The two packs at the end you will most likely not get, but since you're not concerned with that, that shouldn't be a problem.

dmaster out.

Top 40 people in the U.S. overall or Top 40 per division?

RE: Ask a simple Play! Pokemon question here!

Top 40 per division, plus the top eight at Nationals, but they usually overlap. Remember that that has not been confirmed, though.

I'd also like to point out that Worlds awards CPs, so if they're not just for show, they won't completely reset every season.

I have a question of my own. How old do you have to be to take the professor test?

I think it's 18

I'm not sure here (altho it says it somewhere on pokemon.com) but I know my sister was going to take the test but she said she was too young (she's 16) and I thought she said something about being 18 :/

RE: Ask a simple Play! Pokemon question here!

I can confirm that you have to be 18 (because that's the soonest I could take the test).

RE: Ask a simple Play! Pokemon question here!

Question(s): First, do you have to be an American citizen to participate in Cities, S/P/T, Nationals, etc. in the States? The closest events to me are in the US, but I'm Canadian.

Secondly, how hard is it to get into World Championships? Competing in Worlds is on my bucket list, and I'm a pretty good player in my area, so I'd like to do that one day.

Finally, If you don't have to be an American to participate in the above events, do you have to win at least one event in your own country to be able to go to Worlds? Or can you participate in events all in the US?

RE: Ask a simple Play! Pokemon question here!

I don't think you have to be a US citizen to partake in nats (in the regs top prize it says all expense paid trip to Indianapolis OR Ontario for nats for us =P) but everything else I'm unsure of :/

RE: Ask a simple Play! Pokemon question here!

Sorry if this has already been asked, but I'm thinking of going to a Next Destinies prerelease, but I've never been to a P!P event before. I was just wondering what you would recommend taking?

Thanks! :)

RE: Ask a simple Play! Pokemon question here!

I would recommend taking additional cards with you because you will probably want to trade after the event is over. You might want to bring some money for snacks in addition to the cost of the Prerelease.

You can only attend US Nationals if you are a legal citizen of the United States same goes for Canadian Nationals and Canadian residency. Worlds is fairly hard to get into depending on your division, you nee to get either a ranking invite or an invite from your nationals.
