But lack of fillers means lack of character, battles, evolutions ect... Most of his Sinnoh Pokemon evolved, bar for Buizel and Gible. So far Ash has 4 Unova Pokémon he hasn't evolved and 2 of them are starters.
Even back in Hoenn, Ash evolved all the Pokémon he caught, except for Corphish and Torkoal, but Torkoal can't evolve anyway.

Honesty I wouldn't call episodes that focus on Trip,Georgia or Burgundy or evolutions as filler. I count filler as episodes where Ash meets a random person helps them with something and nothing happens. No capture,No new attack no recurring character appears,no rivals and no evolution. Stuff that won't affect the story itself like the Cottonnee filer episode.

As for Ash's reserves they could of been used in a better way too. We hardly see Palpitoad and Boldore
One issue I'm having with BW is the league. Not so much the battles but how some characters they could of built on instead of pointless fillers. For example Cathrine was at the league but hardly an interaction. would of been great to see Ash or maybe Bianca battle her and had a few episodes with her.

If you look at DP episodes, you'll see that only about 10-20% of them are filler. DP may of felt like it went on forever, but a lot of character/Pokémon development went into the episodes.

The problem with the Leagues since DP is they only last about 5 episodes. With the amount of rivals Ash and co. had at the League, some of their battles are bound to be skipped over.

I forget most of DP tbh but I keep hearing people talking about the long gap between 7th and 8th gym having full of filler. TBH I need to rewatch myself to see if people are just blowing it up and it was not as bad as it sounds.

The leagues since DP have been lacking sadly. wish they could be done in a better way. I remember how Ash fought Katie and they made that a fuller episode. Then again Ash had no rivals in AG which I liked..well up to a point. I would not mind Ash getting just one rival...maybe two in the next series and them being handled in a good way

The gap between Badges 7 and 8 probably felt like filler, but in that gap a lot happened, like Grotle and Chicmchar evolving, Dawn releasing Ambipom and getting Cyndaquil and Togekiss, Dawn and Jessie getting their last Ribbons and taking place in the Grand Festival ect...

I think the series is pretty good although they kept the Pokemon types nearly the same as in 1st gen through 4th gen. This time Ash did evolve more Pokemon than ever though. I have not watched any of season 14 because the videos online are pretty laggy. I will watch them when they are not so laggy. CN has horrible time slots for the show. I wish the WB still existed XD.:)

Actually, Ash evolved 8 Pokémon in DP, while in BW he only evolved 7.
The reason why I'm complaining about the lack of evolutions, is he has so many more to evolve this time and at least in AG and DP, he evolved most of his team.

The first half or two thirds was pretty boring. But after the episode where Iris battled Drayden, suddenly things got more interesting. Personally, I love Iris as a character and she has an interesting backstory. Now we're getting into more interesting matters with Team Plasma and N!

Best Wishes was bound to be shorter than DP, and maybe even Advanced, since the only focus was the League and no Grand Festival.

I feel like the first (and maybe 2nd, but I can't say for sure because I missed a few episodes) season of DP was the worst, it felt like it started and progressed way to slowly.

I actually like Iris as a character, but I wish she would stop saying "You're such a little kid!" to Ash, because I find it to be really hypocritical. (because she's also a kid)

I hope Cilan leaves. I hate him. From the very beginning, I couldn't stand his food puns! The only thing I like about him is his Stunfisk, because it amuses me.

As for Ash, I think he's still the same Ash, but a lot..... dumber. I can't stand how they immensely dumbed him down! He purposely uses the type(s) that give him a dis-advantage in battle!

I like the new Team Rocket, and I'm very happy that they decided to go back to using their old motto. They act more like an evil team should be acting. However, I do miss the comic relief.

Despite all my gripes, I like the BW series, and I hope it continues to be good.

I completly lost in the anime after ending of Johto, you understand...forgive me english, but all these seasons had thier better and worse episodes, but Hoenn turned to be just BORING gen. 4 AND 5 WERE BORING AS HELL TOO.... I just miss old action and thier interaction and plot , maybe it wasnt really good, because wasn't based really on games, but it has it's own magic... 51 episodes of Kanto season...interesing plot, less numer of dumb episodes, emotional moments, epic feeling when Sato comes la espaniola for gym fight, you really liked main Holy trinity, you wanted to travel with them forever ect. during Hoenn I just don't feel all these emotions. I'm sure this anime have potential... 51-55 episodes for each season it's good idea.

I agree, early Hoenn was very boring to watch. But got better after the first season.

No option for "It's just alright"?
It holds my attention better than the Hoenn and Sinnoh leagues (not even gonna talk about Johto because ugh christ so boring), but lacks the charm that I watched the Kanto league for. So it just kinda sits in the middle for me. I like Dent though. Not Cilan; he's annoying. Maybe his Japanese counterpart is annoying if you know the language but he still amuses me.

Johto had character and interesting CotD, while AG-BW just don't. Also, the interactions between characters in DP and BW are minimal and they never play off of each other like they did in Johto.

I have many reasons why this is my least favorite Anime series. First of all, how many Pokémon has Ash caught? Way too many! He's already competed in the league and only 3 are fully evolved!! He's got like Pikachu, Oshawott, Tepig, Snivy, Unfezant, Leavanny, Palpitoad, Boldore, and Krookodile. He's bringing Charizard back too (which is good, but not when he has so many Pokémon!!!)! Another thing that bothered me was when Ash's Pikachu lost to Trip's Snivy. This thing can tie with a Latios and beat a Regice but loses to a trainers brand new Snivy!!!! And that Pokémon even had a type disadvantage!!! In addition to this, I'm not fond of Cilan....probably because he replaced Brock. Brock is one of the best characters, and they never should've taken them back. I loved seeing him flirt with the girls and nurture his Pokémon!!!!!!! Cilan is just annoying. Iris is cool, but she has no real purpose. She should at least a coordinator or something like May or Dawn...

The show was okay, not that fantastic, but it wasn't that bad. It's a kid show, after all. However, one thing doesn't make any sense at all; Team Rocket. Why do they still exists in the show even though they're not being "Team Rocket". They're just being shady and weird. It's just weird to me. Anyone noticed about this?

The last episode of BW anime I saw was the one with litwick mansion. I hate Cilan, Iris is ok, just cant stop mentioning 'Oh ash, you're such a kid'. I agree, this is worst anime ever (I do watch it, just rarely)

-First, Tepig evolved into Pignite a while ago.
-I think we can all agree that the Pikachu v Snivy fiasco was the worst production decision so far, lol.
-I actually like the fact that Iris didn't get involved in contests. By the time Dawn was through her contests, I was really getting bored of the whole thing. It's good to see that Iris has other goals and aspirations. We've seen multiple "Top Coordinator" dreams, so it was good to finally see someone who wanted to be the worlds greatest dragon master.

I LOVE the fact that Team Rocket took a more shadowy presence in B/W. Although I do love the traditional Team Rocket way, it was a much needed breather for these guys to do something different; and honestly I thought that all of the shenanigans they were doing to prepare for the Undersea Temple throughout the series made them seem like they were actually succeeding at something for once instead of the same old team Rocket that everyone sees as a joke. So yes, it was pretty nice imo.
