Blastoise / Keldeo EX / Black Kyurem EX

RE: Keldeo EX/Blastoise

i like to run a mix of levelball and poke comm. in this deck. tropical beach is awesome if your lucky enough to own some. i also been leaning more towards max potion(hate flips)

Yeah... i agree with N, but first, your list needs 4 catcher and less skyla, too much or her means you dont have enough draw power, and then youll be in trouble trying to figure out if attack with your keldeo or just tropical beach for more cards. 2 level ball is too much as 4 squirtles are likely to come out, and you have either one level or ultra to get him out.

And SSU what to say about it.. sigh .., it works awesome in a perfect world, but i assure you that 75% of time youll get tails, ive seen and had matches where you flip 4 tails, then you have 4 useless cards, even though i know getting one is good and may be game changer , but its better to have max potion that is certain to heal, and also works with your blastoise if it gets catchered and dmged.

Also i´ve found out that munna/ musharna just makes you inconsistent, I know its popular and many decks run it, but that doesn´t mean its good even if you get keldeo to rush in and get off that sleep, it just takes critical space in your deck where you can run more suporters and energy.

hope it helps :)

skyla is the best supporter in the format imo. i would always max it. i agree with everything else.

RE: Keldeo EX / Blastoise

For the Ball lineup 4 Ultra 1 Level 1 Heavy is my preference.

RE: Keldeo EX / Blastoise

You guys are really under estimating the power of Eviolite. I love it in this deck because heres a scenario. Say your opponent has a Keldeo out and is trying to kill your own Keldeo. If that Keldeo has an Eviolite your opponent needs SEVEN energy to ko your Keldeo then if they manage to get that many energy to ko then you can just bring up a Mewtwo from the bench and get rid of Seven energy.

RE: Keldeo EX / Blastoise

Either way if you don't take the first prize with Keldeo mirror you are behind.

RE: Keldeo EX / Blastoise

If you guys are interested heres the list Ive been running that has gotten me 13-4 so far.
Pokemon (12)
3-0-3 Blastoise
2- Mewtwo EX
4- Keldeo EX
Supporters (14)
4- N
4- Prof. Juniper
3- Bianca
3- Skyla
Trainers (21)
4- Pokemon Catcher
4- Rare Candy
1- Super Rod
2- Max Potion
4- Ultra Ball
1- Computer Search
3- Energy Retrieval
2- Eviolite
Energy (13)
3- Double Colorless
10- Water
So as you can see my Deck is all about consistency. Hope I helped y'all out.

You just need 3 for 2HKO. Unless his is damaged, he has no reason to do it.

RE: Keldeo EX / Blastoise

Here is my list not sure how great it is I've never ran it in a tournament and never will.
Pokemon- 12
3-1-3 Blastoise
2 Keldeo EX
2 Mewtwo EX
1 Keldeo 47

Energy-10
10 Water

Trainers-38
4 N
4 Juniper
3 Bianca
2 Skyla
2 Tropical Beach
4 Ultra Ball
2 Tool Scrapper
3 Catcher
3 SSU
3 Eviolite
3 Energy Retrieval
1 CP Search
1 Super Rod
3 Rare Candy

Honestly I really don't think Keldeo/Blastoise is that good, it just seems too clunky and inconsistent with EVERY build I've played against and with.

RE: Keldeo EX / Blastoise

13-14 energy is a must-have in this deck. The entire deck functions around pouring energy onto the field (pun intended), which is quite difficult if you only run 10.

RE: Keldeo EX / Blastoise

@Pegnas oops... I was like... I have four spots left.. what are they. Yeah... there are 4 Pokemon Catcher in the deck XD

RE: Keldeo EX / Blastoise

@ Bo$$_89
I meant that I don't think Keldeo/Blastoise as a whole is very good.
@Bo$$ and Blah
No, you really don't need that many Energy.

RE: Keldeo EX / Blastoise

What do you guys think of a 1-of Energy Search in this? It basically allows for Skyla to be turned into an Energy at any time. My only concern would be not having enough energy to get onto the field late-game if I take one out for an Energy Search.

RE: Keldeo EX / Blastoise

@ Infinity Thats too much in any deck.
@Grantm The deck is good. I haven't make it work but it is a T1 deck with the correct deck list. If you have a bad deck list, you will have consistency problems and it will be horrible to play with it. With an excellent deck list, it is difficult to beat.

RE: Keldeo EX / Blastoise

I like Cilan as a 1-of tech if you have room and don't run Random Receiver. It's great for getting out of a tight spot if you can't seem to draw the energy you need, and it lets you finish games really well because Cilan + Energy Retrievals can power up Keldeo or Mewtwo extremely fast.

RE: Keldeo EX / Blastoise

14 to 15 energy seems very much correct but I can't find room in my list for it. I don't test the deck but I like to keep a list handy in case I decide to.

Keldeo beats a lot of stuff, but gets owned by any deck that can fully utilize Mewtwo. However, Mewtwo is not as played right now, so Keldeo is probably the BDIF at this point. As time goes on everyone will put a Mewtwo or Promo Virizion or something in their deck to counter it.

By the way, Keldeo does have answers to Mewtwo (i.e. their own Mewtwo,) so this may not be correct. Also, Landorus, while running Mewtwo, is still beaten often by Keldeo due to weakness.
