R.I.P. Jack LaLanne

You'll be missed greatly, thanks for inspiring everyone to stay fit and live a healthy lifestyle. Your image will not be broken. Heck If it wasn't for you we wouldn't have people like Richard Simmons helping us. But man Jack, he is the epitome of human endurance, exercised everyday in his life, it's really a shame to see him go.

He lived a great life and I'm proud of him for that. Incase you're wondering he died of natural causes at the age of 96. He was really pushing it I tell ya what. :)

RE: R.I.P. Jack LaLanne

Aw...LaLanne was amazing. He was one of those guys both well-known and well-respected by anybody...one of those few celebrities who really deserved to be one. His feats of endurance and strength will always be well remembered.

My small tribute to a great man.

RE: R.I.P. Jack LaLanne

That'll be 96 jumping jacks! :D

I bet you didn't know that the exercise "jumping jacks" was named after him. Well now you know.

RE: R.I.P. Jack LaLanne

Actually, he just popularized them. The actual name comes from a children's toy, which I myself have seen.

RE: R.I.P. Jack LaLanne

But he wasn't supposed to die. All that exercise was supposed to him alive forever.

Anyways, I'm not sure how many people here would actually remember him (heck, I only remember him because my grandma talked about his work-out shows a lot while I was growing up, and I think I saw an infomercial not long ago with him advertising a juicer), but I'm still sad to hear that passed away...

RE: R.I.P. Jack LaLanne

I overheard that the cause of his death was a respiratory infection, for the most part he was doing really good for his age especially his strength and stamina however just because you're living a healthy lifestyle doesn't necessarily mean you're okay from unknown diseases.

Peter Folk has Died.

Peter Folk has passed away at the age of 83. He had alziiemers disease. He starred in the Show Columbo in the 70's 80's and part of the 90's and actually ended in 2003. He starred in 69 episodes and also played the grandfather in The Princess Bride. We have lost another legend sadly XD.:(

RE: Peter Folk has Died.

Im sorry to hear about this, I asked my dad if he knew this guy and he was like "Yeah, he was a big shot in my time" and then I told my dad he was dead and my dad was a bit sad

RE: Peter Folk has Died.

Why do great people have to die?
I never heard of Peter Folk, but there's so much death at the moment.
Michael Jackson, Tommy Cooper, Elizabeth Sladen - they were all so great. It's really sad to see them go. Rest in peace.
