Not really. Pokemon has always had the same general feel, which this isn't.

I had mixed feeling about D/P, but I love it now anyway. That's what im getting from B/W.

Thaqt's true, I hated 4th gen at first for the same reasons I love 5th gen now. :D

I think that Meguroko has a design more similar with Digimon's design that with previous Pokémon but was actually the only Pokémon I liked from these new 7...

I think what you guys are trying to get at is that it seems like with the 5th Generation, Pokemon is starting to lose the "flavor" of what it made a success in the first place. How "natural" it felt with the designs of the Pokemon Game Freak made especially with Gen 1 which was remarkable.

I was talking to one of my friends and he said he didn't like the new Pokemon in Black & White at all, though there is still room for optimism I still think that Nintendo and Game Freak shouldn't try to lose what makes Pokemon Pokemon in the first place. If you start to lose the "soul" or "essence" of the franchise, bad things could ensue.

HeartGold and SoulSilver is almost about as Pokemon as you can get in terms of the feel of the franchise and everyone just isn't used to these new changes in Black & White though I'm worried with the recent Pokemon designs by Game Freak they sort of made them less likeable compared to previous generations. Everyone's got their own favorite generation of Pokemon most notably Gen I and II due to nostalgia factor, Gen III wasn't bad it actually had a tropical/jungle feel to it, Gen IV wasn't too bad, could've been better.

The new Legendaries seem kinda of dull and stale but I see where it's trying to go with a Yin/Yang approach to this new series. They just seem like rip offs of Dialga and Palkia from the previous generation, though I think Game Freak probably could've done a better job with the Pokemon designs in the 5th generation. It does kinda seem like they're running out of ideas, maybe they aren't thinking hard enough like what about a Koala Pokemon?

If I may, I believe that they said this for the Hoenn and Sinnoh regions too.
PLEASE tell me which pokemon remind you of these said "Digimon"
I dont think pokemon have guns, bombs and swords the size of New York City.
Aesthetically your comparing Apples to Pears. (I purposely didnt say Oranges... :p)

Anyone who doesn't like it is a hater and not a fan.

They don't look ANYTHING like Digimon. Digmon were Digital Mosters. Pokemon are Poket Monsters XD. They are not running out of ideas but getting more creative with each generation. They are getting better and better at what they do. Fortunatly Pokemon is MUCH better than it used to be by a long shot.:)

Pokemon ad Digimon are the same because they both have many creatures that evolve and are partners with humans. They go on journeys and yea...they pretty much are the same thing except Pokemon is better!

I agree with you. These new Pokemon look like Digimon. It's stupid. The new legendaries look...robotic.... I don't want to buy the new games. They look horrible. Pokemon isn't original anymore. I mean come on... they named a Pokemon "Gear". It just shows they're running out of ideas.

"Gear" is the japanese name. I'm sure there will be Pokemon you'll like.

God forbid, let's not get Bakugan into this as well... -____-

My cousin started playing that! He thinks Pokemon is stupid and Bakugan is awesome. I was about to smack sense into him.

Well he obviously hasn't seen how great the Anime was in it's prime about a decade ago, ever since Pokemon came around alot of other franchises such as Digimon, BeyBlade, and even Bakugan started trying to imitate Pokemon.

Most of those imitators were unsuccessful due to lack of strong merchandise marketing in the U.S., however I think the problem with Pokemon nowadays is the anime where it's too campy compared to how great it was in the first few seasons heck even Hoenn was amazing but they really dropped the ball on Sinnoh IMO.

Don't forget Yu-gi-oh in some ways.
