XY Do you dislike what's been revealed of Gen VI?

But Pokemon's 3D past never involved Game Freak. Who made Stadium 1 and 2? EAD and HAL. Who made Colloseum and XD? Genius Sonority. PBR? Also Genius.

EAD? Most of the Console games, plus Ranger, have been Developed/Designed by Creatures, Inc.

I would like to add: nor are rabbits.

Oops! That one got past me.

So far, X and Y look awful, visually. I don't mind the cel-shaded battles, but the overworld looks terrible.
I know that the overworld models for X and Y match the style of the overworld sprites since FRLG, but most of the time, when I think of specific Trainers, I think of their battle sprites and not their overworld sprites. I really don't like the direction Gamefreak is going. I never liked the My Sims look.

Another issue I have, is everything is kinda pixelated, but it'll probably look better on the 3DS.

The third issue I have, is protogonist design. Ever since Black and White, the design for the two playable characters have gotten worse and worse, as the female is starting to look more and more Sailor Moon-ish and the males pretty much only wear Red and Blue. It really doesn't help that in X and Y we have ANOTHER male character that ONLY wears blue. His hat also scares me. It's so square! Are there shops where you can get square hats from?

Ugh.... Toads and tadpoles are frogs....

And, I still think that the attacks used do not indicate the secondary typing. I think the reason people are seeing the coincidence is because they have wanted those types for the starters for a very long time. Besides, there are plenty of Pokemon that learn moves that dont correspond with their typing.

But Frogs aren't Tadpoles or Toads.

BTW, anyone else hate that GF are just re-using designs? The female looks like a Blonde FRLG girl and the male looks like a combination of Hilbert and Nate. What happened to originality?

The Lack of news. Hardly announced only new thing outside the trailer is Sylveon.

We've got 8 months until the game comes out, we don't need to know everything right now.

Although I would've liked something more this month than one new Eeveelution.

What is there are no more Eeveelutions? I would like some more (maybe a Bug-Type coloured Beige? That would be gross.), but if there are no more for Generation VI, then they can't reveal any more :p

Yes, they are. Shrews aren't, but rabbits are considere rodentia.

No they're not. They're Lagomorphs.
True, Rabbits are SIMILAR to Rodents, but the differences between Rodents and Lagomorphs, is that most Rodents are Omnivores, while Lagomorphs are Herbivores. Plus Lagomorphs have four teeth that grow constantly, instead of two.

But if the toads are frogs, then we have frogs. Not all frogs are toads, sure, but that only applies to true toads. I dont think any of those were based off of true toads. Tadpoles are really just a stage of a frog, so I guess its not really a frog... but it still is. That one come down to technical terms in its life history.

^sei whut?
Quit contradicting yourself. Their is a slight difference between frogs and toads, but they should never be confused as the same. They are two different sub species.

True toads, the Bufo family, are the only "toads". All else are frogs. Not all frogs are toads, unless they belong in that family. However, all toads are frogs. Its like the square/rectangle thing.

Also, subspecies is not the correct term to use :p

Edit: When I say Bufo family, I'm talking about Bufonidae. I was confusing by leaving at just Bufo, because that is the Genus.

I didn't say anything about more Eeveelutions, in fact, I thought we had enough.

I just want to know something else about the game, one measly Pokemon isn't enough to hold my interest for another month.

I agree 100.0000000000001% with [member]Bolt the Cat[/member]. I'd also like to know what some of the legendaries are, because they are so very popular. Shuckle with a form-change would be EPIC.

My biggest complaint is that they revealed it too early. 8 months is a ridiculous amount of time for a fan base to hold interest. Why not reveal it say, four months prior, and then steadily reveal information to keep hype up?

Especially when it was a terrible design to begin with. It made me feel cheated haha

Maybe they plan on releasing quite a bit more information in the following months then usual? This could be a clue!(just like everything else pokemon does -.-)

I think the main reason has to do with marketing for the 3DS. 3DS has some okay games, but they need some better ones to get more people interested. Main series Pokemon games tend to bring in a lot of handheld sales. And by announcing it this early, they can give Pokemon fans who don't yet have a 3DS plenty of time to save up and get one.

We'll probably only be getting small tidbits of information up until about May or June. But I would think they would at least show off some more Pokemon at this point. IIRC, they tend to release at least 2 or 3 Pokemon per month up until the game is released.

The term toads is generally applied to frogs that look like toads, hence the confusion. It is a vague distinction, but indeed, most ''toads'' are actually frogs.

I agree (As you can see), usually GF reveal a new game a few months before the game comes out.

Well, so far they haven't revealed much. If they were planning on showing us more info than usual, they'd of shown us the Pikachu of the region, more in-game pics, official artwork of the Protagonists ect...

At the moment, the only non-tadpole Bufos are Politoad, Croagunk, Toxicroak and Seismitoad. I know Frogs/Toads are an odd thing to have a lot of, but so are foxes.

I'm not entirely sure of what those were based off of, so maybe they are Bufo's haha. I understand the argument that some people are making. They want more traditional frogs that swim in water and such.
