Okay then let's hear some theories.

Theory 1: Turn the plank into a door, the glass into a window and light up the room with the flashlight.

Reasoning: You're technically no longer in a dark room with no windows or doors.


I like this one... because the three characteristics of the room, (a dark room, no windows, and no doors) and the three items you have kind of match up with each other. But how specific does it have to be? Do we have to specify how to turn the plank into a door etc.?
 
Honestly the problem is way too vague for the answer to be anything but "stop imagining you're there." If the answer isn't that, we don't have enough detail to properly decide upon which other possible answer is the one TGK is looking for.
 
We could slit our throats with the piece of glass... but I'm guessing since that doesn't involve the flashlight or the wooden plank, that's not what TGK had in mind.
