Oh no! The glow from the key statue was so soothing I fell asleep. I had a wonderful dream when I was asleep where I was eating all the cupcakes I wanted. Now it just makes my lack of cupcakes all the sadder.

Man I want to join you... I feel so left out all alone out here But I'm worried my handsome, healthy, robust physique and tendency to bounce means it's too dangerous for me to join you.
I feel so left out. This is just like soccer practice at Spoink Academy, when all the other pokemon would get picked for a team and I was always the only one left. Or all the times that I wasn't invited to birthday parties because they'd say I'd "eat all the cake". Or... well actually it's just like pretty much every social experience I've ever had really.
@Keeper of Night I'll look at the ice path and try to gauge whether or not I can bounce on it safely.

Vulpix is freezing a path across the lake to see what it is and a bunch of pokemon are going with her. However, I can't come for now because I'm too fat. So all the chubby pokemon are feeling very left out.

So uh, what's happened since we found this lake thing? Anything good?

Vulpix attempts to freeze a wider surface of the lake. As soon as she creates a reasonably-sized platform to her left, the shadows vanish from underneath.
Curious, the other Pokemon that were ready to cross the frozen path keep their eyes peeled in the light cast by Cutiefly and Litwick.
The splashing picks up once again, right underneath them this time. And suddenly, jumping out of the water and onto the icy platform, a small horde of Pokemon jump out onto it! They don't seem very happy.
Let's just imagine this x8:

The Totodile don't speak, just stand in place, snarling. Could they even be reasoned with?
Obviously, if you chose to stay on the shore, you are not as close to the Totodile as those that chose to follow the frozen path. But you can move and make an action at the same time, Wynaut.
This probably wasn't very clear before since only one Pokemon was attacking at a time, but as you submit actions for the Battle Phase, your character portrait will be added in each update with your current HP. Though not submitting a Battle Phase action does NOT mean you can't lose HP anyway!
Besides that, a Battle Phase isn't much different from a regular phase. You just can't leave your current room.
That being said! You guys did a very interestingly good job at skipping a lot of battles to get here. But this is a good test of activity. So any Pokemon that doesn't submit an action for this phase will be put on the chopping block. Even if I let you stick around without battling you'll never get anywhere without getting stronger.

I get all the power I can gather and propel myself backwards with my blizzard, sliding on the ice, widening the platform so others can join the battle (and hopefully hitting the totodiles). (also, getting to solid ground; the ice should definitely break easily with 8 totodiles on it, that's 80 combined kilos on a surface that wasn't so wide, nor thick).

I've just been working off video game logic in that the ice is strong enough for all of you to stand on. (I mean there's like a bunch of you along a seemingly narrow-ish path right now too.)
