Forum being thrown away? Wha?

He said something suddenly happened to him a few days ago, unexpected by the sound of it. Just because he made all of these improvements doesn't mean that something can't spontaneously happen that causes an issue.

^Dude, you joined 4 days ago. Unless you are another member in disguise (EPF), then don't make assumptions about things you can't prove. You have no idea what kind of schemes WPM can come up with.

If this is real, then someone should explain the contridictions.

1. WPM said he told all of his mods, but the mods say WPM didn't tell them anything.
2. WPM said something big happened in his life yesterday. Film School has been planned out for a while.

It would make sense, but they would surely tell us. If the mods really don't know what's going on (and I believe them - you'd think that someone would have let it slip by now), then they fear the closure just as much as us. If WPM has been purposely ignoring emails/PMs/profile comments, then surely it's a joke.

the mods have barely posted in this and i would think the smods would know the most and the regular mods would just get the bare details xD

the point is it makes no sense that WPM wouldnt pass it on to one of the smods.

and sheer force...you barely know about what WPM has pulled in the past I barely know what he has pulled in the past lol ive only been here for 1 april 1st.... and it was complete chaos (oh safari....your so great :p) HECK people thought the forums were closing then too....thus why this is still pretty fishy....

edit: HECK it even involves the banner like last time xD REPEAT...i wouldnt be surprised if safari was behind this one too xD
 
The reason all this is happening, in case anyone was wondering, is because WPM has to go graduate from college soon, and a lot of other mods do too, and we simply can't get the support we need from anyone else. Sorry :/
 
Just for clarification purposes, WPM is graduating from college and going to grad school. He isn't going into college.

But other mods are going into college. And we don't want to mod random people for the job. So we'll just have to kill the forums :(

Not sure how it's a waste seeing how you spent 3 Weeks, 3 Days, 20 Hours and 16 Minutes online on the pokebeach forums.

WPM Loves this site. He isn't going to delete it unless he has NO other choice.

He will probably give it to one of the Super Mods, and discuss a payment plan.
 
When WPM meant he will never abandon this site, he meant it literally. If he goes, the site goes with him.
 
This is business. If you are spending more money than you are gaining, that is called a loss. This forum is a loss. He already spends a LOT of time here maintaining and thinking of innovative ideas of how to get more members, but how much can you do? The main site, from a business standpoint, is a much better asset to keep. It's nothing personal, it's just business.
 
Wow, that's an hour's worth of reading random posts that seem completely coherent and inexplicably incoherent at the same time.

As of now, I can't quite decide what to believe. Is this a joke? Or is WPM serious about all this? I've seen good arguments for both sides, but if I was a jury, I'd be absolutely deadlocked. But just in case, I'd better get out before something serious goes down.
