funny league/tournament stories.

My league is held at the same time as the regular Magic Tournament which does create som awkward situations... As you might know, Magic-players can be a bit eccentric... Me and my friend play a match of the good old TCG, when these two, beardy 30-years old take seats next to us. Then they start lecturing us on how to play a so-called REAL card game...

"First you need to go on the internet, and type in the words: POKERSTARS.com, create an account and gamble away!"

Haha, we were convinced they were gonna teach us how to play magic... Couldn't be more wrong:D
 
Haha one time my friend, my brother, and me went to league which is at a walmart and we got there early so we sat and eat some lunch and there was this wierd guy just dancing like a maniac and it was sooo hilarious cuz everybody there was like wth who is this guy and then he comes up to me and goes, do you want to battle... And all I could do was laugh
 
If someone told me Pokemon wasn't a REAL card game, I'd punch them square in the face. The would be a damn good league story.
 
i was playing against a guy using dusknoir lv.X. after i knocked it out, it's power makes it become a stadium. So, a 3 year old walked by and decided to lecture us on how to play the game because it was "absolutely impossible" for a pokemon to be a stadium :/

Happens to me soooo many times. My opponent's just like "YES, I HAVE A GOD START!"
Then I end it on my own terms T1 when I get a bad hand with Uxie.
 
At the AR Prerelease I was 2-0 and playing Vulpix Yolk. I had a Swalot with 70 HP out and was gonna win the next turn, because he had a lone Geodude. But he attaches a {F} energy, uses stone barrage, flips SEVEN HEADS IN A ROW and wins.
 
A really fat kid was about to sit down, and a dude pulled the chair out and the fat kid fell. It felt like an earthquake. The store owner was yelling, and we were all cracking up.
 
Back in California we busted out some golden age decks (Base-Rocket) for some league matches. The funny thing is, we're normally a pretty competitive bunch, and they said they'd been building for this. So I didn't expect it to be Bad Deck Day at all. I had Arcanine and a Rain Dance deck and they had random jank like Venomoth.dec and GrassEggs and such. Golden age is normally a really competitive format, it was just funny to see such ridiculous deck ideas.

I ended up playing 6-6 buzz/scyther insanity and doing hilariously well.
 
The first time I went to a league, I ran a Meganium Prime and Vespiquen UD deck. At the end, I forgot to get all my stuff, so my entire collection was ruined. With the cards I had left, I made a Drapion X deck. It was the best I could do.
 
At Oklahoma states this week, my friend was playing luxchomp with ERL tech. Not only did he manage to get it in play every time, in his last game, he took 5 prizes in one thunder fall and when he did, he threw his hands in the air and yelled "THUNDER FALL FOR FIVE PRIZES!"

If that kid was me, I would make such a scene and the dude who pulled out the chair would face my deep anger.
 
Ok I have another one. Yesterday when me and my brother were at the league we were battling and this little kid (whom im assuming to be around 8 or 9) was trying to sneak up on my brother and he had his wrists with his hands curved down like a monster and he was making a weird face and I said to my brother "Look out there's someone behind you." so he looked over his shoulder and the kid walked away like nothing ever happened then my brother said "What was that all about?"
 
Round 6 of nationals last year:

my opening hand: hoppip, collector, pluff, rare candy, grass energy, ebelt, bts
they go first

they have: Garchomp C, DCE..good game XD lol
 
I was at a Battle Roads and I didn't know about the rotation. I opened 3 SF packs (I was running a Ghost deck-Dusknoir SF, Cursegar) and pulled a third Dusknoir SF, a Duskull (that I needed to run the Dusknoir) and a Mismagius holo along with a Misdreavus. I just managed to make a fully legit deck.

Also, I find it funny how Uxie is pronounced.
I pronounce it youczy
Others pronounce it ooczy or uckzy

I don't know if that makes any sense to you, but hopefully it does! XD
 
I was MD states and I was playing a friend for fun on my T1 I got out 2 Scizor prime and Umbreon and was ready to kill him and he scooped XD
