I once ripped off someone (I was a noob back then) I traded his charizard (base) for my kauna (base).
after that, I traded it back because I realized I ripped him off, I really didn't knew the values back then.

oh, and I only rip oof guys mentally older then me.
(that means I don't rip off lou or SA667).

Could i ask you , where are my cards. I sent you 2 claydols , 2 magneton , and 4 magnemite. I knew I could probably get something better for them but yet traded all those for 2 Ex's that most wouln't even care about. I Thought I was Doing you a favor or something and it was my first online trade so I wanted to trust you. that was 3 months ago and I still haven't recieved anything. I did everything to make sure those cards arrived and even asked you ocasionally if you had recieved them , but You didn't even ask if I got mine.... How are people supposed to trust others if everyone is only after ripping you off.

no matter how small or big the ripping it is, its still considered stealing and lying.
I see where you're going at. Lying is broadly defined as putting on any type of false impression. However, it's because they don't know that I don't bother changing. To me, nothing is a rip-off because I needed the cards I traded for. Lying is a major problem in our society, no doubt, but it can't be entirely be rid of either. We all need to lie at least to some extent to get by with life. It's just finding the line to draw where we have an issue with. I know my lines and I hope some people in this thread know theirs.

How is everyone supposed to know everything . not everyobody has access to a computer or regularly checks the value of there cards... yes everybody lies , but some lies are to prevent others from being hurt or to prevent probelms among family members and friends. ripping people off dosen't Prevent the person getting ripped from geting hurt or anything like it , so it's not honest.... and don't even think about saying ,"it's not like i was actually lying, I just didn't tell them the truth".

I trade cards the way they should be traded. If they want it, then I'll trade it. I don't see how it's trickery for them to rip themselves off if they wanted the card.

If they want it, then it's their profit, no?
This is exactly what I do I ask what they want and then I trade them for metagame stuff.I trade if its a good deal not if I want it thats how I have gotten busted trade and have to spend any money.
Oh please. First you call them noobs, and then for the rest of your thread, you call it fun. I don't mind if you just win off of other people, but if you say it's funny and then compare yourself to be like me, you need to rethink your ethics.

The problem is this person has no ethics. Only when people started pointing out how stupid this thread does he change his tune. You are proud to be a ripper otherwise you would never have started this thread in the first place. You sir are epic fail, oh and a ripper.

I believe you misunderstood me. I said it's impossible to not lie, but there's a point where it's just wrong. Also, even trying to protect your loved ones by lying even has serious consequences.

If you rip them its their fault! They should know that thats a rip or they should not be playing the game!

-_-

You're saying that you weren't ever a noob? Most everybody makes this mistake at first, saying that they shouldn't play for making this mistake would kill the game.

Sorry, that came out wrong, I meant they shouldnt be trading so early. And yes I was a noob and still am. But at least I know fair trades. I dont just trade any time someone asks me. I research every card before I trade for it. If I ask to look at some ones cards and they say "No." there is no way im trading with them. Its obvious they are trying to rip you. What I mean is dont just trade because you like the picture or something like that.

WOAH!

It's part of SOTG to be nice and fair to EVERYONE last time I checked.

Ripping people off is like trading a 1 dollar bill that has a picture of george Washington with a french mustache for a 10 dollar bill. It seems cool, but it isn't worth it no matter how you look at it. Ripping people off like that isn't nice at all. You will eventually be caught ripping people off. Servere consequences will often be given if you do it.

Full Moon: WOW! I cannot believe how unreal that sounds. YOU HAVE TO START SOMEWHERE.

EXAMPLE FOR ALL: (Using full moon, just as a point...)

W: "Hey full moon. You wanna play soccer?"
FM: "IDK how to play, but I will give it a shot."
W: "Alright let's go!"

@ the field"

W: "You go over there and I will pass you the ball."
FM: "Okay."

I kick the ball.

W: "Full moon. You n00b, you aren't allowed to use your hands!"

PUNCHLINE:

FM: "You didn't tell me that.

Truth is all of you + Full moon, unless someone guides you, you will fall on your face every time.

-Unless someone taught you how to walk, you could not.
-Unless someone taught you how to talk, you could not.
-Unless someone taught you math, you'd be stupid.
-UNLESS SOMEONE TEACHES N00BS SOME POKEMON, THEY DON'T KNOW GOOD TRADES FROM BAD TRADES.

I think that my example is perfect. Case closed. So, I think we should stop discussing HOW WE PWN n00bs, because if you don't PWN them, you are a n00b.

Respect.

You guys sicken me. Being a league leader I have to set an example, and teach the kids the value of cards. If they have an expensive card such as Uxie, I'll be certain to give them fair value in return. If they only want some little card I'll give them extra stuff. People who rip off little kids should be banned from the game, stat. I got an offer...My Darkrai GE for his Glaceon LVX. I denied, saying I didn't want to rip him, and offered him a LVX to go with. That is how you're supposed to do your business. Young kids, you should always aim to help. I can understand if its an older guy since they should be able to have some perception themselves, but ripping off little kids is wrong.
THANK YOU! Wow, took a whole page to get off of the whole "I'm better then you because I won...nothing...but I can rip you off anyways". Thats sickening. I give people rares at tournies, including those 20 dollar claydols, and I sometimes don't get them back. But I trust the people in my area and know I'll see them again and get them back. People who rip off other people only get screwed in the back when it comes to actual good players who have resoucres that YOU want (cards, GOOD LISTS, etc.). Most of all, people who rip others off miss the biggest thing about pokemon: Friends. I'll take friends>all the claydols in the world.

I only rip off weird/stupid/fat/funny looking people. I've traded a Electivire Lv.X for a Charmeleon SF, and a Mesprit Lv.X for a Charizard SF, but those trades were with funny looking people, so it was okay. :D

You make me sick.

I agree I said that didnt come out right. I am a noob I wouldnt want to get ripped off. I guess I was just saying that because I got ripped fightingdarkness. I dont think I should play the game but now I wont trade unless I know what the card is like. So I learned the hard way. I think that helped me. Im sorry for what i said. I knew I never should have gotten involved. I usually stear clear of these kinds of threads.

I think that one was a joke...and its not like he got anything extreemely good anyways. :/ lol

I traded crud for Claydols... :F

I also enjoy pwning n00bs. I almost always get matched up with one in the 1st rd.

I hope not with little kids...

Okay, so after you win by t4 against the pokemom/dad, then what? YOU GO AND TRADE THEM CARDS TO HELP THIER DECK AND TEACH THEM HOW TO PLAY BETTER. Are they missing claydols? Trade them some for something of theres (obviously don't kill yourself here). Do they have 28 energy? Give them some standard draw, or at least meh draw like mama's kindness and oak's visit. :/ Beating the same deck over and over again with a bad list doesn't better either player.

Did someone or at least 3 of you not read my post? It is like 5 up.

PWNING n00bs....fun, but you got to teach them.

After every match I beat a n00b in, I tell them good match and what could help their deck. You gotta help them. Read the post. Come on, stop being mean to n00bs and let it go. A good 1/3 on the thread are n00bs. Drop it!

Even if you are supposedly ripping them off, even before you make the trade you should ask them if they want to trade that card.
That's what I do, I usually ask them if they want to make the trade, then I double check with them if they are sure, and if I feel it wasn't fair I will throw in Trainers/supporters that they may need, and extra Useful holos not crud that most people think they need to get rid of.

And if they want their card back you should give it back.

That was the main part i was commenting on. did you read what i said carefully, I agreed with you that it's natural human nature to lie. The reason for lying is the bigger issue.... so your saying that if a family member has a serious health condition and there chances of getting a heart attack are high, You would just go ahead and tell them that you recieved a message saying they just went bankrupt and are about to lose everything they had. No, You would probably try to hide it as long as possible. I doubt that the Consequences of lying are even bigger than brain injury or death. That's what I mean with lies to protect people . that what people call white lies. The lies used for ripping people off arn't these type of lies, so they are not justified. They are considerd rude and in most cultures even sins. They are even as bad as talking behind peoples backs. As soon as you rip some one , your calling them stupid , Mentally-challanged, etc. Do you like to be considered stupid, I sure don't.... and as i said , even if your not saying an actual lie, holding the truth is still considered a lie.
