Gyarados..

Okay, our testing results obviously differ. It really depends on your area, and the overally build of your gyarados. You have probably been playing it longer than me, but were just going to have to agree to disagree.

I was just informing you of the correct procedure.
Your point is also valid. It's extremely easy to use a trainer by t2.

It is also extremely easy it get 2-3 Magikarps in the discard pile without using that card in Gyarados.

Play testing G-dos with Junk Arm a few times I found that it all depends if you top deck the junk arm in your opening hand, otherwise, it is just dead draw late game. The only use I see for it late game is reusing Poketurns and belts.

I have been playing around with a 2 Mew 2 Psychic Energy tech and it works very well, it is THE definition of a glass cannon but it is nice for getting around trainer lock and getting off 120 damage without a belt (even better if you put rescue energy on him, instant recovery).

Thats cause you are all bad, and can't realize that when you have to many dead trainers in your hand it makes the game on your side very unstable. See there is no point in running the card unless you get it out right away, which even still there is no point iin having it, that is what Regice is for. What I can't wait for is when Max Potion comes out, I am taking out all my SSU and adding in 4 of them, and then going to be using 2 Seekers, those will be my SSUs.

Theres no need to flame us and call us bad players. I have tried it, and I like junk arm, as well as rescue energy.

I am just saying, why do you think those cards are good compaired to better options out there? I mean Rescue Energy you gets screwed out of if your opponent can kill it without killing you by an attack and then what will you do? I mean even Floatzel GL X does it better, it brings back Warps/Cyclones/Expert Belt, and it brings back the pokemon when they are knocked out. Not even to mention Floatzel GL first attack can be help by bringing back a supporter such as a Volkner/Bebe/Collector.

As if gyarados needed something to worsen the luxray matchup. Its not like you only run rescue energy, I also play one pokemon rescue (which can be reused with junk arm) and a combee.

Wow...flaming because we aren't following your etiquette on how gyarados should be played. Junk arm DOES have it's uses late game by getting ssu, poke turn, rescue, or even luxury ball back. True, it shines early game, but as stated, isn't completely dead draw late game.

Floatzel gl does what better? It has the same text, other than getting attached cards back, as rescue energy. As minimidget pointed out, luxray eats floatzel for breakfast anyway. You also wouldn't want to use that to increase you basic count, therefor decreasing your odds of a sableye start, which gyarados feeds off of. And last time I checked, attaching an energy was MUCH easier than getting a level x out. The only thing you'd wanna save on a gyarados is an expert belt, which...tada! can be retrieved by none other than junk arm.

Also, in alot of matchups you dont want to belt, since you two shot them and they two shot you no matter what. An example is DialgaChomp, which will have a belt and special metals.

Pokeman is totally right in lots of ways. Junk Arm works, and searching works, usually better. He must run a tight list, and therefore doesn't see room for it. He would have built it perfectly according to what he aims for. On the other hand, people could be lenient, letting their starts play out for them. It's however it's built. By the way, letting starts play out and allowing Junk Arm to work doesn't make you bad. It makes you different.

Its worked for me, as well as people at my league. The deciding factor in gyarados VS. almost anything is SSU heads. You need as many chances as possible to pick up gyarados.

SSU heads? The original list only needed one heads against something doing 120 a turn to win a game. Therefore, more advanced lists that have certain scooping shouldn’t rely on luck. Have you ever let a Gyarados die without rescue energy before?

I don't rely on luck, it's just that I'd rather use SSU than seeker, since a sure fire way to heal is always better to keep for when you need it, and against dialgachomp, you both need to heal off the other's damage EVERY turn, since the first one to not be able to heal will lose their main attacker, and they can remove lost your rescue energy, and it's pretty hard to recover after that.

gdos has good matchups if you figure out what to tech for counters and how to get the engine fast enough. when you do it owns, but otherwise you'll do bad. if you have neither of above necessities the deck will get owned, either because it is too slow or has nothing against luxray, lightning arceus, manectric, etc.
