Collecting "How Much is This Card Worth?" / "Is This a Good Trade?"

RE: The ''How much is a card worth?'' topic.

@VidFox - Yes, please! I am incredibly intrigued by this new arrival. :)

In regards to its value, it is currently unknown; no one has sold it – yet. The Pokémon Black Version & White Version Tour just started yesterday (February 5th) – it may be a while until this card has an official value. It would depend on whether it was mass manufactured or not, for the special screening of Pokémon—Zoroark: Master of Illusions. It may be ≈ $5 - $15, like its predecessor - again, this depends on how many were produced in addition to preemptive popularity.

UPDATE - It seems to be averaging at $10 - $15, thus far.

@vidfox

I'd say 5-10 for the jumbo in terms of value to collectors..Personally I wouldn't pay more than $5 but that's just me

RE: The ''How much is a card worth?'' topic.

how much is Gengar Prime?

also, how much is the original Charizard, Blastoise and Venusaur?

RE: The ''How much is a card worth?'' topic.

@Ghost Bear - Gengar Prime has been mentioned one or two times. In regards to your second enquiry...

This is presuming 'original' means Base Set. It depends on whether they are 1st Edition, Shadowless, or Unlimited. If you are new to these terms, you can learn about them here or here. (I apologize if you already knew this).

1st edition Charizard = $100 - $200; PSA 9 or 10 = $300 - $400
Shadowless Charizard = $50 - $70; I have seen Poor/Fair/Played condition go for ≈ $30.
Unlimited Charizard = $15 - $30

1st Edition Blastoise = $50 - $80
Shadowless Blastoise = $30 - $40; I have seen Poor/Fair/Played condition go for ≈ $15
Unlimited Blastoise = $5 - $10

1st Edition Venusaur = $60 - $80
Shadowless Venusaur = $15 - $30
Unlimited Venusaur = $6 - $15

RE: The ''How much is a card worth?'' topic.

@Unique Username:

@ghostbear

gengar prime is 40-50ish

RE: The ''How much is a card worth?'' topic.

@mlouden03 - These are average price ranges. I list everything in ranges because not everyone can obtain cards in the lower part of the spectrum. I certainly don't want to mislead them into thinking they can always find <insert card name> at a specific price. I will edit the Unlimited Blastoise and Venusaur, though. Thanks for sharing that tidbit :)

RE: The ''How much is a card worth?'' topic.

thanks guys... had a guy trying to sell me the original three but I didn't know for sure the difference. Trying to track down a gengar prime too but wanted to have a heads up and not get gypd

How much is the set of 6 Alt. Color Pokemon from the lottery thing in Japan?
(Groudon, Kyogre, Dialga, Palkia, Deoxys, Rayquaza)

RE: The ''How much is a card worth?'' topic.

@Hyunbin

2010 Japanese Pokémon Lottery Promotional Cards [071/L-P to 076/L-P] = $130 - $175 (Complete Set); $20 - $40 (Single Cards).

Currently, the highest price is $320 (Complete Set) and $60 - $100 (Single Cards) (inflation much?). Previously, this particular set averaged at $150. I don't observe too many sealed sets these days – in the beginning, a few sold for ≈$130, election notice and everything.

I was wondering if i got a good deal in these 3 auctions?

RE: The ''How much is a card worth?'' topic.

Can I get the correct price for Lost World (english) please?
*I've heard that it's anywhere up to USD$15.00 (that's crazy for an uncommon)*

RE: The ''How much is a card worth?'' topic.

@Garold

Auction #1 – Yes. You got each card for roughly 5¢. Each of those 19 Holo cards are roughly $2 [each], so you saved yourself £23.

Auction #2 – Maybe. Dialga & Palkia [Clash of the Summit] is worth $20 - $40 [Mint], but since these are in [Very Good] condition, you got it at – more or less, an equivalent price. It depends on the definition of 'Very Good', though.

Auction #3 – It depends on how you summarize the lot. Considering you obtained [Used – Good] condition cards (75% of which were Energies and Trainer/Supporter cards) at 12¢ each, I guess you can't complain. However...Crystal Charizard Holo [Skyridge Series; 146/144] is worth a pretty penny (£21 - 31), so that is a nice benefit for you. Absol G Lv. X is worth a bit, too (£3- 6). If the two valuable cards are in decent condition, then yes - you got a nice deal.

@Light Venusaur

A respectable price for Lost World [Call of Legends; 81/95] currently averages ≈ $5 - $6. I see many of these cards between $10 - $15, which is crazy and it honestly shouldn't be that high. The Reverse Holo can be in the higher price range, ≈ $10 – 15.

RE: The ''How much is a card worth?'' topic.

Unique Username: So to conclude, i got a really good deal, an average deal and a good deal, that's good to hear, as long as i wasn't being ripped off then it's all good. I've heard that the japanese blaine's charizard in the first lot was worth quite a bit? Either way i wouldn't have been able to obtain these cards anywhere else, so i'm happy, thanks for the reply!

RE: The ''How much is a card worth?'' topic.

@Garold - You're very welcome :3

Whoa, I am blind. I completely missed that one! Yes, Blaine's Charizard [Japanese] is worth a bit - not overtly valuable, but pretty good. (£3.75 - £9)
