Hi I'm new to this site.
I've started collecting Pokémon cards again and I don't know much about the new sets having got relatively few cards since after WotC stopped making them. :S
I've been a bit disheartened in coming across some fake cards while I've been collecting, so I'm wondering if this card is worth anything at all that I've found someone offering to swap.
Below is the pic of what someone posted online (Rocket's Mewtwo EX card) and I haven't been able to find one with the same gold text on Google and this site, and the edges of the card doesn't look right to me.

EDIT: Are you sure? Cuz I looked on ebay and the majority of mews were about $15 and the majority of the yanmegas were $40-50

I'm not quite sure but I believe that Aipom came up in the thread "All your errorz are belong to us", too lazy to link to it. Anyway, that's a fairly common misprint iirc, so it isn't worth that much, maybe a couple of dollars if you find a good buyer.

I had an energy card that had a pinkish coloured border and had never come across one before and wasn't sure whether it was fake or not as it looked and felt like a legit card does. I tried to shine a light through it using eevee's advice but wasn't sure at first as I had some cards that were so obviously fake that the light shone right through them and you could see the front of the card. After comparing with other energy cards I'm confident now that it's a fake card, so thanks for your help.

I haven't heard of an energy card like that. However to see if it is fake, you can hold the card up to a light source like a lamp. If you see the light coming through the card, the card is fake.

You can get them from card sites like GamingETC for $1-2. This is because 1st Edition Machamp were widely available in the Wizards 2 Player Starter Set. It is easily the least valuable 1st edition Base Set holo because of this.
