RE: Different Radiant Collection Foil Pattern?

so is it only commons with the alternate pattern ?

As far as I know, yes. The uncommons I pulled were the same as before. It seems like a hit or miss for some people looking for the different pattern, like some manufacturers just ran out of the old foil or something.

How much is Yveltal FA EX worth? What about Black Kyurem EX PLS? Lastly, how much are Virizion EX and Genesect EX worth? Thanks.

Not to be rude (trying to be helpful actually :p and i dont have time to look them up myself) but you can just type in the card to ebay and select the "sold listing" option and itll show you all the recent sales for that card. Great way to get fairly accurate prices :) especially if you have a long list of cards you are curious about

I did that, but all the prices were varying and I couldn't really get a consensus. I'm just looking for what the community values them at.

Slowbro, in my opinion fair values would be
Yveltal EX FA $25
Black Kyurem EX PLS $24.5
Virizion EX and FA $17.5 and $22.5
Genesect EX and FA $17 and $27.5

I spent ten minutes searching these up and they are imo, so yeah, all valuable cards, and you may drop the price a bit if you sell instead of trading it

Awesome man, thank you so much. I couldn't really find a specific value for them, they were all varying. Would a trade of my FA Yveltal EX for their Virizion EX and 3 rainbow energy be fair?

I personally wouldn't do that, just because I think yveltal EX is more playable and valuable than virizion ex, but I have enough rainbow energy.
It is always your choice, but if you don't need Virizion EX or it isn't one of your favorite cards, I wouldn't do it.

That's what I was thinking, but I kind of need Virizion EX and I have enough Yveltal. I just wasn't sure if I could have asked for more though.

Do you guys think that one day Flashfire boxes will be ridiculously priced (i.e $500 or so) like Neo Destiny and the like, because of all the Charizards?

Not really. What makes sets like Neo Destiny and Base Set so valuable is not just the charizards, but the nostalgia factor. Kids who grew up gawking at their friends' shiny holos are today's collectors who are willing to pay the big buck for a whiff of old childhood memories.

On the contrary, the kids who are growing up with Flashfire are (a) not as numerous, and (b) not as focused on charizard. There's a lot more pokemon around nowadays than in 2002, and there's a lot more 'cool' pokemon that children tend to call their favorites. Thus the future collecting community will be a lot more diverse than what we have today.

The set's value right now (at least on a per-card basis, as the boxes are still out in retail) is a bit saturated because all of the older charizard fans are excitedly buffing up their collections. This same demand just won't exist in the future. For those reasons, I doubt that Flashfire will go on to be notably more valuable than other sets in the BW and XY eras.

I'd also consider that Neo Destiny came when the Pokemon fad was dying out and probably wasn't as printed as much as sets today are.

I expect that the individual Charizard cards will probably rise in price, though I don't think they'll get super expensive, simply because of the larger print runs and such.

I don't know. Charizard was a Pokémon most people liked in the past, but I've got the idea kids like other Pokémon better now. My little sister likes Greninja and Lucario. She didn't play any of the older games and Charizard is just a regular orange dragon to her. I'm a little too young to really like Charizard, I never bought base set packs and played the first games. I did get second gen packs, so I like Entei ( and that movie ;.; ). I do like some of the newer Pokémon, but that's because they're felines and I like all felines.

RE: Different Radiant Collection Foil Pattern?

I bought a Rayquaza tin today and the Legendary Treasures pack contained a Teddiursa RC with the alternate holo. Must say I like this design much better, for one you can actually tell it's holo without bending it and seeing fainted stars. I actually thought the old design was boring and didn't look very creative or even as a Pokemon card reverse, but this design is beautiful.

This isn't so much of a trade question as it is an investment question. Should I sell my Mega Charizard EX (69/106) for $35-40, and buy one or two Charizard EX FA for $20-25 each? Do you think the FA Charizards will go up higher than the Mega 'Zards?

I think that the FAs price will increase more than Mega Charizard's as they are more playable because you don't need an EX to use the FAs (I guess that we all understand what I meant), while you do with the Mega Charizard.

The thing is though that it's not the "good" Charizard that people are using (Combustion Blast), and besides, playability doesn't factor into the long-term values of Charizard cards.

I think you should trade instead of buying and selling, it is just easier, and you usually need to build up a rep before you can sell the card at the higher end of the spectrum
