Inactivity and the source of it.

I found that PokéBeach Forums is sometimes inactive and I fear that PokéBeach Forums will dead (forum language).

RE: Inactivity.

That's because it's not American day time. Sometimes they're more than 40 members on at once. It really depends.

RE: Inactivity.

Yeah.
Like for me, when some (or all) states of the US is awake, I'm in bed asleep.

RE: Inactivity.

Scientific research has proven that when the concentration of noobs rises, the concentration of more experienced members falls, this in other words means that the noob-value of the forum, which is rather high, has a direct effect on the activity, for noobs tend to only post in the game corner or threads where most members are not interested in. More noobs might possibly result into the death of PokéBeach Forums, however, this is quite unlikely.

RE: Inactivity.

More noobs=Less death.
More noobs=More illnesses.

Scientific research has also proven that there is a cure to noobs: moderators.

RE: Inactivity.

Unfortunately, noobs are becoming immune to this antidote, so more and more needs to be given.

RE: Inactivity.

More moderators?

Hmm...Does cute-mew want to become a new antidote?

RE: Inactivity.

But they already are antidotes...

We need full heals now. Lol. But it'll never die.

RE: Inactivity.

This conversation is slightly ammusing. :D

Noobs are getting really abundant and troublesome. Especially since most of them get banned and then make a second account. That's what I call a super n00b.

Anyway, as for the inactivity discussion, there are moments when there are only 15 members and over 50. It all depends on the time of day. ;)

-Edit-

There are currently 46 member active within the last 15 minutes.

Also, the record of the most people online at once was 101, in June of this year. So PokéBeach Forums isn't on that much of a decline.

RE: Inactivity.

well, at first i like PB. But then after i've found pokegym, everything changed.

Pokegym is far more pro-er than PB, thats the fact. PB is like, noobs everywhere and they kept coming out with stupid threads like " which ***** is the best?" or something like that.

Now, let me ask u, if ur a pro player where would u go? gym or beach?

we need pro players!

RE: Inactivity.

Okay thanks guys and I'm asking this because the ISEs happening and I think the ISE are interfering with the List.

RE: Inactivity.

It seems like all the new members are n00bs. I have to say, when DP first came out, there was a wave of new members here. Many of them have become great members with good discussions and knowledge. That's declined unfortunately. PokeBeach is now over 5,100 members, many of which (lately) are spam and n00b accounts.

RE: Inactivity.

It wouldn't be so bad except noobs make annoying threads where there not supposed to be

You're not wrong there. To me it seemed to get noticable when the wifi league was created, although I think I'm right in saying that most popular forums experience the same thing. Even with all the shiny new rules, the newer members don't seem to... well, get it.

Any wise ideas as to how this can be countered guys?

Make reading NoobNerd's "Guide for Noobs" part of registration. But I'm not sure how that would be enforced...

I think you hit the nail on the head with the Wi-Fi League. I suppose I see all the n00bishness because I'm active in that part of the forum most the time. The biggest issue, in my opinion, is spam.

It's a good idea, but no typical new member is going to take the time to read it. I'm not sure if there is a way to counter these new members. They all seem to avoid reading all the "Important Threads" before posting.
