I have been using reddit for a while now. I just use PokeBeach first because I value Beach more than Reddit.

This has never happened before. Deleting and re installing does not do anything

EDIT: Did some research and lots of people are having this problem. Could Instacheck Hotspot been shut down?

Noticed you hadn't found a definite solution to this, so I figured I'd explain it.

This error appears for two main reasons: First, it happens after using Instacheck for a significant amount of time since the program is still imperfect. Think of it like tons of minor errors adding up until they actually cause a problem. Second, the error will appear if you try to launch a hotspot too soon after booting up your computer or the program.

Instacheck does NOT use any type of server, outside database, etc. and as such can't be shut down by Nintendo. It works as a Packet Sniffer, and can be compared to a ultra-specialized version of WireShark (google it) coupled with the VR+ software to launch the hotspot.

Regarding use on laptops and other devices, If it runs windows and has an unused Wifi adapter (if you're connected to wifi, you'll need a second adapter) it will work. I have an old Wifi Max adapter from back when I was trying to do this type of thing back in the DSlite/DSi era and it works perfectly on my laptop when connected to wifi.

His logic is that he does not need to use Reddit, if he prefers Pokebeach, then let him use it.

Hahah not the crappy Asus Windows 8 Laptop my bro got. Refuses to make anything for my small brain easy. Went and bought a wireless card and it installed corrupted for some reason.

So now I have to find someone to help me hatch these I prepared. And I hate bugging people to help me. Makes me feel annoying and stupid. Well I am sometimes but I still like figuring stuff on my own.

Managed to start the hotspot on my desktop but the 3ds refused to connect and failed the test. Anyone know why is that? It simply wont pass the connection test.

I would appreciate that and payback or donate in anyway I can as my way of thanks.

I tried using another laptop and still good. Perhaps that might be due to my useless Wireless adapter not being able to create its own connection and needing to using my Xfinity router in order to create a connection. But again the 3DS failed to connect to the internet.

The only time it has ever succeeded was when I used the router's wireless connection and thats the Local Area connection through my Ethernet. It connects but the Instacheck will never scan it.

If anyone is willing to help me, send me a PM and arrange a time you're available. I promise this will only take 10 minutes just to check a couple of eggs!
 
Im running into an issue where the bar above the start scan bar is blank. Why is this? please help. I want to be a part of this

This happened to me too. What I did is delete both programs, and install Wincap FIRST. Then install instacheck and run :D

Quick question for all you Wi-Fi and computer experts!

Whenever I install a USB wireless adapter it immediately connects to my router, making it the same exact connection and being useless. (I can either connect to my router like I usually do or use the new connection the wireless adapter created which is using the same connection, however nothing will connect to this not the 3DS or the laptops or phones.) I thought these things were supposed to create their own connection or hotspots?

If this is the problem then I am one step closer to solving why this won't work for me.
