Is It Just Me or is HS Undaunted not a very good expansion?

Or is HS Undaunted not a very good expansion? There's hardly any good cards in this set outside of Legend Box and Vileplume as most of the cards in this set are mediocre at best.

Houndoom Prime seems decent with Blaziken FB Lv. X, Espeon Prime is just meh, and Umbreon is well okay I guess. Perhaps there will be better cards in the Black & White Expansion afterwards unless we get a expansion containing more Clash at the Summit cards.

The Pre-Release Sleeves are nice, but for some reason I'm just not sold on this new set. There's hardly any cards in Undaunted that are good enough to see competitive and casual play.

What do you guys think?

What about KGL? Or RDL? There are lots of cards that can be meta-shifting. Scizor Prime, for example.

There are many good Pokemon, and although I do have to say, it's just you, I'm a little iffy on the trainers(unless Junk Arm comes out in this set)

Kyogre/Groudon LEGEND is too slow to be effective due to not enough setup timing and weakness to Jumpluff and Luxray GL Lv. X. Deoxys/Rayquaza LEGEND is okay but I don't really see it getting as much play and weakness to Flygon and Gengar/Mewtwo Lv. X hurts as well.

Scizor Prime has a great Poke-Body but has a terrible Weakness (people still run Charizard) and the attack itself doesn't make up for it's amazing Poke-Body and I can see people trying to run Scizor Prime as a tech against Glaceon Lv. X when they are stuck having to run it as a main attacker due to the requirement of {M} to increase it's damage output.

I'd rather be running Dialga G Lv. X as a tech instead of Scizor Prime, but then again Scizor Prime can be a nice tech against Flygon but the attack just doesn't make up for it's usefulness unfortunately.

I agree to a certain extent. we wont know for sure until scans come out, but its overally a decent set. I was originally going to split a box of it with my friend, but I decided to wait for CATS.

I personally think that KGL can be really good as long as it gets enough set up time. If your meta is big on Jumpluff/Luxray GL, then maybe try a Bubble Coat, but maybe not. Also, EXPLOUD!! And KGL can OHKO every Pokemon every turn with Dialga PT with Reverse Time PokePower.

Yeah CATS has some okay cards but you can already tell the power creep of most of the recent cards has drastically gone down since Platinum. HGSS and HS Unleashed have been great so far though.

The Lost Link cards arguably has some really playable cards: Hunter, Magnezone Prime, Gengar Prime, and of course Lost World which will most likely either get errated or banned.

Bubble Coat sees next to no play at all due to how it's a one time use only, though KGL can be utilized with Feraligatr Prime and Dialga PT that still sounds like alot just to get setup and more than likely mid-to late game but it might work out I guess.

Well dialga is just waiting to get power sprayed. plus, bubble coat is only a one-off and not searchable. It will get sniped off the bench before its ready to attack

That isn`t true actually, you can use department store girl, but it takes up you supporter for the turn.

Overhyped Legends aside, Vileplume, Umbreon, Dodrio, Smeargle, Defender, Legend Box, Scizor Prime, and my personal favorite Energy Exchange Unit all have some reasonable effect (if not all as techs) on current decks. This is at least a better set than HGSS and Unleashed.

Personally, i'd say it's a sign of things to come, as they seem to be combatting the power creep. The cards in this set might not seem as great as the other recent sets or the dp era sets, but by the time of the next rotation, they'll seem alot better as the other sets will be toned down a bit on power.

I like the idea, as it's sort of like having a base set era metagame, although slightly more powerful (no 60 for 4 energy on a stage 2). As for the speed of these new cards, I don't think speed will be an issue in future metagame, as it's more likely to focus on strategy or setup attacking.

Undaunted will be amazing. Good Prime cards like the Eeveelutions, Leafeon/Houndoom combo; and other amazing cards like Vileplume, Weavile, Vespiquen, Dodrio, and Gliscor. I can't believe sets like this and Unleashed are being bashed to death. This is no E set or Neo Genesis, the cards are playable and there is barely any crappy rares in the set. This set is going to better than the disapointing Clash at Summit set.

Wait WHAA???... Clash at the Summit is going to be great! especially with lost link, twins, black belt etc. it will be a REALLY great set

IMO all sets are good. They all at least come with a good Pokemon chain and good Trainer or Supporter.
 
I feel sorry for you Card Slinger J. All these people are a little delerious. I have to agree with you that only like 3-5 cards from this set will be decent and even then I'm not sure how good they'll be.
