You don't need DGX. SP's answer to Vileplume...
Dragon Rush with Garchomp (while struggling under trainer lock), Garchomp gets knocked out (couldn't play Poke Turn) bring up Lux, Bright Look, retreat to Uxie, attach DCE or use Galactic Switch and regular energy attach, Level Up Uxie, play down Lucario GL, Zen Blade. Bye Bye Vileplume, we hardly knew ya.
They should go up in price until people realize that its like every other stage two tech (Nidoqueen RR, Dusknoir DP...) which are hard to get out IF there is no constant draw like Claydol.
What? You're overcomplicating this massively.
Don't sac Garchomps or anything. Bright Look in the 'Plume and either swing with Drifblim or Uxie for the KO.
The problem is, it's going to be difficult to get 2 Lv. Xs (or a S1), and a DCE under trainer lock.
I get vileplume and Gengar SF out with no problem , worst game i played was i got vileplume out T3
This means nothing w/o knowing how many games you've played, and against who and what.
You can't use Power Spray under trainer lock.
This is what is Called a Discussion (I don't know if you have ever had one). But, I realize you are going to down every card that You cant beat but, please try adding a little bit to the discussion.
What? For one, the conversation was going in circles, and for two, you aren't adding anything to the discussion either.
I disagree with you saying it'll be played a lot, Lou. Personally, I think it's overhyped and Lux/Chomp has a heyday with taking Prizes against it. It's an alright card, but nothing super rare and good like Luxray Lv.X. :F
I don't necessarily disagree that it's overhyped, but LuxChomp has a pretty bad match-up against it considering you can't Lux Ball, Communicate, Turn, Spray, Gain, Radar, Premier Ball, Energy Exchange, or any of that
fun stuff. I don't see how LuxChomp has a good match-up against it. I could see some builds having an even match-up, but I don't understand your comment at all. Have you tested it?
It's slow and can barely maintain its lock. It can't survive. Case closed.
Have you played it? Have you played it in different decks against good builds of popular decks against players? I don't see how you're saying it can barely maintain it's lock. =\
I play bench shields so come waste ur bright look
Bench Shield doesn't prevent Bright Look. By all means, play it in your trainer lock deck, though.
Here is an idea. Not only does it take Vileplume some turns to set up (at least two), it also sucks to be dragged active. Its retreat cost is horrendous. I have learned to always unown q my Vileplume just in case. any deck that runs Vileplume AND Spiritomb will lose to most decks that run on speed, yes this includes Luxchomp. Luxchomp has had no problems beating decks that run spiritomb. I am guessing people will use darknesss grace and supporters to set up the Vileplume first. Luxchomp just Cyrus for a bebe and takes care of the Gloom or Vileplume next turn. Now you are stuck setting up your main attacker with darkness grace and supporters -_- SPeed kills any Vileplume build, that is a fact. Once people realize this, its price will not be high.
Although not everything you're saying is untrue, I have a hard time believing you've tested the match-up extensively. It's not an autoloss for LuxChomp, but it's not a walk in the park either, and the scenarios you're describing sound odd.
It won worlds in a format with spiritomb, Vileplume is no different.
Yes, a card thats effect only activies when active is the exact same as a card that has way more HP and whose effect is always present. what.
