Chapter 16
And he doesn't even give me the card. Rude. Of course, he appeared in the warehouse, let me through the locked door, and ran ahead. C'mon, there's more doors to open!
Ah well, there's enough of an opening to take the long way around, grab some items I'll probably never use (never been one to go through my bag too often), and make a huge circle back to where I first entered to find the card key I needed. Poor planning on blargh's part to just guess I'll find my own key.
Once I got out, I knew I needed to enter the main building... So I didn't.
Flying to Pastoria, and then underground for some Heart Scales, I taught Skadi Omnious Wind and re-taught Stalker Thunder Fang (mashing the A button doesn't always work for you). Then, I learned just how stinking rich I was by buying 100,000 coins at the Veilstone Game Corner and getting the TM Ice Beam for Skadi, who was currently relying on Ice Fang for Ice STAB (and, since she's Modest, that just wont do).
(There was also a point when I thought of exploring down to Pal Park... But too lazy. Maybe Post-Game.)
And since I was back in Veilstone anyway, I guess I needed to check on blargh. Lo and behold he was deep inside the main Veilstone building, eavesdropping on a meeting, apparently.
Crossing the room where SeveralRandomGrunts had just occupied, I had to wonder where they went. Only three ways out of the room, and only two that they can reach... Some should have seen blargh and I. Meh, no use trying to apply logic- Why is there a bed here? Ah well, always time to rest in the middle of a crisis.
Once fully healed, we made our way up the stairs, past the funny grunts (who actually thought they could stop me lolol), and to Twisted's room.
Twisted was there. Shock.
Strange things.
This chapter in a nutshell.
Don't even know what's up with Twisted, and now I'm confused myself. I suppose I really should go see Camoclone again. But we already established he doesn't have answers.
Anyway, freeing the fairies that aren't fairies but pixies. And wasn't Atra supposed to be here? Rain on his parade and all? Ah well.
The three lake pokémon were then freed by yours truly, by pressing the big red button without second thoughts.
I mean, we all know big red buttons are usually bad, right?
Ah well. Time to exit, heal, and call it a day.

Has anybody else figured out that I make up the "story-line" as I go along? Because I thought I had a plan until just now.
Keeper's PokéBeach Platinum Run
<Keeper> ~Strangeeee, things are happen' to me.~
<Keeper> ~Strangeeee things.~
<Keeper> ~Strangeeee things are happen' to me, ain't no doubt about it!~
<Zui Quan> STOP.
<Utena> Leave him be Zui.
<Zui Quan> He cannot sing!
<Keeper> Hey!
<Keeper> No bashing my style. We're here anyway.
*Keeper has entered #VeilstoneCity.
<Porygon-X> Get. Out.
<Keeper> International Hate on Keeper day.
<Porygon-X> Yeah, well, thanks to you they took my pokemon away.
<Porygon-X> AND my brother fled the country for the time being.
<Keeper> That's a little... Overdramatic.
<Porygon-X> Tell me about it.
<Porygon-X> But whatever! I don't know anything about any card key!
*Porygon-X has left #VeilstoneCity.
<Keeper> I didn't ask...?
*blargh has entered #VeilstoneCity.
<blargh> AH-HAH! Leave this to me!
<blargh> The card key, I have it here.
<blargh> A frontal assault is not possible, but we can enter the hideout.
<blargh> You will do so, yes?
<Keeper> Yeah, well, I'm here-
<blargh> Excellent! Inside the Galactic warehouse, we will meet there.
*blargh has left #VeilstoneCity.

<blargh> Keeper! Here, quietly!
<Keeper> Yeah, I don't think they hear you over the bustle they're making themselves.
<blargh> Maybe you're right. This gathering of Team Galactic... What could it mean?
<Keeper> Here comes TT and the others.
<TwistedTurtwig> Fellow members of Team Galactic!
<TwistedTurtwig> You all know me today as TwistedTurtwig!
<TwistedTurtwig> The world we live in is a crude one, incomplete.
<TwistedTurtwig> All humans and pokémon are likewise incomplete.
<TwistedTurtwig> Because we are lacking we fight, we maim. It is... Ugly.
<TwistedTurtwig> I hate the incompleteness.
<TwistedTurtwig> The world SHOULD be complete. The world MUST change.
<TwistedTurtwig> We, Team Galactic, will be the ones to change it!
<TwistedTurtwig> Together, we captured the legendary pokémon!
<TwistedTurtwig> Together, we have obtained the energy to change the world!
<TwistedTurtwig> All those headed to Mt. Coronet and those remaining here... Our missions differ, but our hearts beat as one.
<TwistedTurtwig>Heil! Let there be glory for Team Galactic!
<SeveralRandomGrunts> YAAAAY, TWISTED IS THE BEST!
*TwistedTurtwig has warped.
*SeveralRandomGrunts has left #building.
<blargh> ...Whew.
<blargj> So that was TwistedTurtwig, the boss of Team Galactic.
<Keeper> Yeah... He's been doing a LOT of off-screen character building it seems.
<blargh> Like...?
<Keeper> When I first met him on the lake, he just seemed... Sad? Forlorn? He didn't want to be bad.
<Keeper> Then, later down the road he "got a hang of" his "role," whatever that means.
<Keeper> PMJ theorized that he realized we're not in a WW game, and is therefor taking advantage of these newfound powers.
<blargh> ...But a world solely for Team Galactic? Such an idea is preposterous!
<blargh> Very well. To investigate such matters is the job of the international police. Of which I am a member of in good stead. And it is my job, therefor.
<Keeper> That's me when I need to reach the word count.\
<blargh> We shall part ways here, take care friend!
*blargh looks left and right to make sure he isn't followed.
*blargh has left #building.
<Skadi> What is with strange man?
<Keeper> ...Is it weird I don't really have a good answer?
<Keeper> Yeah, I don't think they hear you over the bustle they're making themselves.

Twisted was there. Shock.
<TwistedTurtwig> Ah, Keeper. Heard my speech I presume?
<Keeper> Yeah... And it leaves me with questions.
<Keeper> What do you know and why?
<TwistedTurtwig> Huh?
<Keeper> First you don't know what you're doing, then you show up and sorta have a plan, which fails, and now... A new world? Really?
<TwistedTurtwig> Oh. The answer is simple, really.
<TwistedTurtwig> Once my grunts had copied Camoclone's research papers in Jublife, we were caught up in the mysteries that were "his WW game."
<TwistedTurtwig> After a time, I realized that this may have been more than a simple game.
<TwistedTurtwig> I had enough power and people behind me to do whatever I wanted!
<Keeper> Ok, that actually explains a lot. But why the new world? And wanting to destroy the cave painting?
<TwistedTurtwig> Ah, all lies, of course.
<TwistedTurtwig> While this is more than a simple forum game, it is still the internet to an extent.
<TwistedTurtwig> I will create a "new world," a new, better forum than PokéBeach.
<TwistedTurtwig> We already scrambled WPM's code, and he is now a simple bot discussing HMs.
<Keeper> ...
<Keeper> That escalated quickly.
<TwistedTurtwig> My fellow members of Team Galactic and I will have our own forum to discuss in! But, PokéBeach will still remain supreme if we leave it how it is.
<TwistedTurtwig> Therefor, we must eliminate it!
<Keeper> And... You need pokémon for that?
<TwistedTurtwig> It's all co-existing, games and the internet.
<Keeper> I think this story is getting a little off track...
<TwistedTurtwig> I know you are here to free the legendary pokémon of the lakes, and you are free to do so. I no longer need them.
<Keeper> What were you to do with them then?
<TwistedTurtwig> Free them myself, of course.
<TwistedTurtwig> We may be Team Galactic, but we aren't heartless. We just seek a better world.
<Keeper> *Forum.
<TwistedTurtwig> One in the same.
<TwistedTurtwig> However, if you wish to save your pathetic little section of the internet, you'll have to do much more than just free those pokémon.
<Keeper> You know... You talk too much. Let's just battle.
vs.
Yeah... No.
vs.
Took a Screech on the switch. Managed to get a Surf in between Slash and Ice Punch before getting KO'd.
<Keeper> Wow, you've improved!
<Keeper> A little.
<TwistedTurtwig> And where is your key to victory? Your Infernape?
<Keeper> Ah, he was making this too easy. I gave him a break.
<Keeper> However, the rest of my team is more than enough to finish you up.
vs.
Ice Punch froze. Wut.
<Keeper> -_-
<TwistedTurtwig> All's fair, Keeper. Better figure a way out of this if you're going to win.
3 Turns of freeze and Stalker is down.
I was honestly a little worried at this point. But I hadn't seen it use a Dark Move yet...
vs.
Guessed right. After a few turns of tanking Ice Punch (and healing once) but inflicting little damage myself, Twisted decided to switch.
vs.
When all else fails... Revive Stalker.
vs.
But of course, Thunder Fang does close to nothing while Drill Peck is a near 2HKO. At least Poison Fang poisoned.
<TwistedTurtwig> That feeling you have now? Regret? That is what makes this world imperfect.
<TwistedTurtwig> In my world, there will be no regret. No sorrow, no pain...
<Keeper> Dude it's a forum. People will still feel regret and whatever else.
<Keeper> I just think I may have underestimated you... A little. I mean, I still win.
vs.
I highly approve of the fact that Dragon Claw KO'd it when it was just under green. But I could stay out against Sneasel... 4x weakness is just too much.
vs.
Oh yeah, 2x is MUCH better. /Sarcasm.
But who am I to complain? Utena lived with 4 HP, and KO'd with Petal Dance. Next up was Crobat, and I wasn't keeping her out for this one, mind you. Megalodon was still at full HP.
vs.
Wow, Air Cutter... Didn't hurt. But the following Dragon Claw we delivered did.
Yup, 2HKO.
<TwistedTurtwig> Wow, you barely pulled out of that one.
<Keeper> >Barely.
<Keeper> I still had two almost-full-HP 'mons-!
<Skadi> Actually, I was in yellow...
<Keeper> I still had one almost-full-HP 'mon by the end!
<TwistedTurtwig> Ah well, maybe you'll come to see things my way... When you have no other choice.
<TwistedTurtwig> You were brave to come here alone and face me, have this.
*Keeper obtained the Master Ball.
<Keeper> Right. Give the guy trying to thwart your plans the most powerful capturing device in the pokémon world.
<TwistedTurtwig> ...
<TwistedTurtwig> I didn't think of it that way. Give it back!
<Keeper> Ha no.
<TwistedTurtwig> Whatever, it isn't anything I require. If you wish to free the pokémon of the lakes, take the warp panel ahead.
<Keeper> I think I will, thanks.
*TwistedTurtwig has left #building.

<Keeper> Hey guys.
<&DNA> o/
<Celever> You came all the way here... For what?
<Keeper> To free the pokémon of course.
<Keeper> Except I'm now more interested as to why DNA's symbol keeps changing.
<&DNA> Magic.
<Celever> Well, whatever. How about letting me welcome you properly?
<Celever> A little payback for our last encounter at the lake.
<Keeper> Hold on, let me check if I'm scared or worried at all.
<Keeper> .
<Keeper> .
<Keeper> .
<Keeper> Sorry, the results came back negative.
vs.
Did out-speed at hit with Ice Beam, but didn't have enough HP left to survive the Bite.
vs.
Dragon Claw KO.
vs.
Uhh... Max Revive Stalker?
vs.
Switch in to... Extrasensory.
<Keeper> Didn't expect the switch 0/10.
<Celever> Implying my Bronzor actually has any other good moves.
<Keeper> lolnewb.
Forgot Steel resisted Dark this gen. Ok... So maybe Payback was going to be a 4HKO instead of a 2HKO. Hurt myself with confusion once, and Bronzor kept firing off little Gyro Ball attacks that didn't to much, but Stalker muscled his way past.
...Wow, 1 HP? Is there any health left in that bar after 4 hits? Apparently, it's still standing and all... Whatever. 5HKO.
vs.
Dragon Claw brought it to just above green... But it had a Sitrus Berry and KO'd Megalodon with Brick Break.
vs.
Full Restore, get the Leech Seed set up...
After almost dying twice to Poison Jab and X-Scissor, Shadow Ball is a KO. gg
<Celever> Gah, what makes you so tough!
<Keeper> Dude, I'm awesome. Try it sometime.
<Celever> ...
*Celever has rage-quit.
<&DNA> HA! Celever and even TwistedTurtwig fall to some child?
<Keeper> Watch it.
<&DNA> Just saying, Team Galactic's state of affairs is worrying.
<&DNA> Nobody even knows if Twisted's plan will work. Perhaps another options needs to be considered...
<Keeper> One that works best for you?
<&DNA> Perhaps.
