Special/Physical/What?!
Unsure if Special or Physical....
...Mind typing up Squeenidae's Movepool?

The base stats are where I need more help.
I think it would work best as a mixed attacker, fast and medium fragile. for example: 40/75/60/80/60/100 or something like that, the numbers are not important, and most of the moves are support anyway.

You can use ctrl + mouse wheel to zoom on the image.

RE: Let's Do the 7th Generation! - SIGN-UPS OPEN

Since a BST number for starters is around 530, I made my own total for the grass-type starter, and I think the stats fit it. Here's what I put:

80/55/75/100/110/110 (HP/Attack/Defense/Special Attack/Special Defense/Speed)

It seems specially oriented and fast (since it's a squirrel), and I also made it physically frail by comparison. This was made the night before last.

RE: Let's Do the 7th Generation! - SIGN-UPS OPEN

I fixed it, look in the spoiler again.

I like those numbers, turtwig, those are for the final stage, right? I like that it's more bulky so it can set up some buffs before attacking.

The movepool is still cut off -_-

Hmm...
80/55/85/115/85/110
I like this for some reason. Gives it equal defenses as well as a bigger Special Attack.

It's the image. You aren't missing anything, anyway; just forest's curse and petal dance.

I think those stats are better, now. Just swap speed and sp. att.

RE: Let's Do the 7th Generation! - SIGN-UPS OPEN

Another idea I had was in signature moves. One is called Cheek Stuff, which comes into effect if the user is holding a berry. It consumes the berry and ignores the effects in exchange for a 1.5 boost in Defense and Special Defense. I decided I like this move better --> Another move is called Hypernate--the Pokemon will fall asleep for one turn to charge, and then, on the next turn, the Pokemon's Special Attack and Speed will double as it wakes up.

(TL;DR: Hyper + Hibernation = sleep that brings excitement and power)

While that may seem good for equal defenses and a higher special attack, I don't see this Pokemon as having a Special Attack stat that higher. Plus, it seems to have a much better special defense stat than physical defense, so I think it should be a little less for physical bulk and a little more for special. It doesn't really matter, though.

Well, that would make it evil.

...ahem.
I don't really like the 115 Speed. Heck, Infernape only has 108.

Serperior has 113, Sceptile 120, Greninja 122, etc. I don't think it matters.

I've been trying to downplay the squirrel part a bit, honestly (hence why its HA isn't cheek pouch. Also, grass pelt fits it like a glove) as new moves, those could work, though, cheek stuff, especially, and it could be an egg move from all the mouse pokemon.

Gardevoir and f****** mamoswine have 115. I should know; it 0KO'd my gardevoir. so either 115 or 120.

Understood, though I like the "Hypernate" move I came up with more simply because it's unique and isn't so close to an ability with effects eerily similar (I've never experimented with it, my bad).

Also, Gardevoir and Mamoswine have base 80 speed :x

RE: Let's Do the 7th Generation! - SIGN-UPS OPEN

80/50/95/105/95/110

Yeah, yeah, a little higher than usual, but I like it.

Actually...
80/50/84/109/95/117

there.

Yes, I got it mixed up with cinccino and ambipom.

Hypernation is not bad, kind of like a lesser geomancy, right? but maybe the name... how about... pump up? nap? siesta? SIESTA! maractus and hawlucha can learn it.

Keep in mind that it has stats similar to legendary Pokemon now (like Jirachi, Mew...), so it's a little overpowered :p (the previous statement was referring to your first BST). That's why I suggested 80/55/75/100/110/110. Decent attacking power, fast, can live a special hit, and doesn't take physical hits well. Its not so much a sweeper as it is a supporting Pokemon with all of its moves that aren't offensive. That's why the Special Attack isn't higher. It's kind of like the reverse of a Gliscor. Keep in mind also that Sceptile has base 105 Special Attack and is the signature Grass-type sweeper. If we almost outclass it like that, then that wouldn't be fair.

RE: Let's Do the 7th Generation! - SIGN-UPS OPEN

Me and scorched might need an artist on our team since we aren't so good at drawing.

The cat, right?

I might be able to help you a little, at least until I come up with an idea for a new pokemon.

Let's take QT2. see you guys there.

Turtwig, let's keep 80/55/75/100/110/110. You're right in that it shouldn't have the same defenses, but maybe we could take 10 from sp.def and put it into speed.

Let's go with yours.

RE: Let's Do the 7th Generation! - SIGN-UPS OPEN

That's fine. I don't mean to sound like a know-it-all (and sorry if I do sound like one), but I've been devoted to Grass-types for almost a decade now and have done research on old Fakemons I used to make in the past. I'm pretty stubborn when it comes to my type.

Also, we can definitely up its speed and sacrifice Special Defense. That would make a lot of sense and also keep the Pokemon down a notch from being hard to kill :p

RE: Let's Do the 7th Generation! - SIGN-UPS OPEN

Then I'll pass the stats and see if I can make also the preevo's stats later.

What do you think about the moves? offensive grass type moves are hard to assign. the most powerful moves all have serious drawbacks. the only thing I saw fit were energy ball, magical leaf and grass knot.
