But that's why you shouldn't make curved gems. Use curved lines for the bodies and patterns and straight, sharp lines for the gemstones. Don't worry about the shading, look at the boldore line, or carbink and diancie. Most of the time the gems are just a color and some shine.

Yay!! Sorry, read it wrong.. noted. maybe hexagon gems as the scattered gems then, combine with not symmetric quadrangle.

I want to make a wonderful 3ds effect, use shading and all possible way!!

But you have no time and no proper devices

Can always steal borrow Van's scanner and drawing pad when I stay overnight. HAHHAHAHA!!

Guys, guys.

BEARD

Look at that magnificent bastard. Smashing, if I do say so myself.

Somewhere in the name we have to include the word PIMP. No other thing will suit him. Only the best.

Also, note how he stopped being just an elephant. He's now a pokemon.

Man, I just keep watching this mofo. I think the power beard really reflects his regality.

Transparent gems make it look like Ice Type, hahahaha. But cool..
But, the pattern in his back.. I prefer something simple. I'll look around for more simple Indian's pattern. Maybe I'll end up using pattern from Thailand or Malaysia or Indonesia. Way more simple and awesome patterns *and I'm more familiar with their classification*.

PIMP... are you serious..??? PIMP!!!! You watch too much Bollywood drama, I guess.. -.-; I against that idea.. too ridiculous.

Or at lease don't make it too obvious, Dalala?

I already think about the name, maybe Mahabara, Marakarma, and Burhaparama.

But the thing is that indian patterns are not simple at all; why use thailand or malaysian patterns when you're basing the pokemon in indian culture?

And I don't know what pimp means in india, but here is probably something entirely different. And if you had known that meaning you would have realized I was joking, no way we could put pimp on a pokemon's name. Ask keeper.

Thailand/Malay/Indonesia's pattern are cross-culture product from India-Japan-China-Europe-Middle-East Asia-All over the WORLD!!

They are awesome!!!

And basically, Thailand also famous for Elephant. And Thailand have same native as India, and they even still use similar sansekerta's letters.

Dalala is Indian for Pimp. Can also mean old-wise pervie man. I don't mind using Dalala, but no PIMP.

why? pimp don't pass the filter?

RE: Let's Do the 7th Generation! - SIGN-UPS OPEN

I have noticed there aren't too many 'common' pokemon ideas running around. Like where are a Zubats, Geodudes, Woopers, Kricketunes, Basculines, and Magikarps?

RE: Let's Do the 7th Generation! - SIGN-UPS OPEN

Those should be easy once we get some of the more interesting, crazy ideas down first. Plus some of the ones we have now could easily fit the bill. We already have our common bug, we have the serval which could be a Purrloin parallel, and a Killer Whale that could be a parallel to Magikarp or Basculin. So we aren't excluding the common Pokemon, they just haven't been fully solidified yet :p

RE: Let's Do the 7th Generation! - SIGN-UPS OPEN

Since those pokemon are more "common" and "uninteresting" noone brought many ideas for them; as xerneas said, fletchling's serval is the regional cat, the bugs are done, I just need to consult a couple moves for the spiders with you.

Since everyone was so anxious to start, I thought it best if everyone just let loose some of that anxiety doing something they liked instead of having a mold to fit (note the lack of legendary designs).

I've been in contact with turtwig for his fishes... the bottomfeeder could be a basculin/quilfish of sorts, and the water/dark dolphin/killer whale a sort of carvanha/sharpedo/horsea/seadra, but I'm not sure about gyarados

Since you (akwila) and I are almost done with all the bugs, do you have any other ideas? or do you want to help another pokemon?
How's everything going with your tigers, xerneas?

I haven't re-sketched Blitten yet, but I have its design in mind: it's basically a fluffy oval of fur with a short poofy tail. The face might be kept, just shortened a bit. I also plan on having an X shaped thing on its back to give it stripes. It's evolved form (I'm calling it Tigundra for now) is coming along, slowly, but still going. For him I've mainly been searching different design of saber tooths as well as tigers so I can incorporate a little of both into the design. But basically I just need to sketch them, I've practically fully envisioned them so I'll get to drawing them soon.

I would really like to see a humming bird pokemon. Mostly because there isn't one yet, and I absolutely effing love humming birds. They're pretty much pokemon already...

Well, another one of my ideas was a electric type, blinding fast hummingbird.

-Fairy/water mermaid
-Dragon/electric spinosaurus
-Rock/grass stegosaurus
-Fairy/bug luna moth
-Fairy/ground, fairy/flying and fairy/psychic pony, pegasus and unicorn
Could be a legendary trio or just a regular trio like the stupid monkeys or electabuzz/magmar/jynx.
-Electric/flying hummingbird
Learns few electric moves, but a lot of speed and sound-based moves.

Oh, and if it's okay with the rest, I'm calling dibs on a fairy/water mermaid. If GF won't do it, I WILL.

As the regional bird perhaps?

Three stages?

Mmm, it could be, I guess... after all fletchling doesn't gain the fire type until later. and they don't have too many fire type attacks anyway.

Why not have regional birds? I kinda like the idea of having a humming bird that can evolve into different types, kinda like an eevee line.

As far as I know, fletch's cat is ground type only, but I don't know about multiple typed evolutions. Especially for a regional bird. That's kind of eevee's schtick.

Hey, keeper, is there something on the mantis shrimp? I just found this move that could work for you:

Slow time
type: psychic
status
accuracy: -
PP: 15
effects: User gets +1 speed, +1 evasion and +1 accuracy
anything else: The user hones its perceptions, reacting quickly to threats.

I think I'll give it to my elves too, is it overpowered?.

Haunted hasn't gotten back to me on anything actually. And unless I tried unleashing my inner Leonardo, it'll be hard to come up with a move pool.

Also realized I still need stats for my rock. lol whoops. Will take care of that soon.

How about having the hummingbird evolve into the peacock?? It's a bit of a long stretch, but it's not like one animal hasn't evolved into a completely different one. Or we could do chubby tiny hummingbird (smaller than Flabébé) to just a majestic tropical hummingbird. Oh and it needs to be a fairy type, hummingbird and fairy type just scream Pokemon potential. Also, calling dibs on the Unicorn. Gaga fans love their unicorns.

Make it like Quiver Dance and have it available VERY late in the level up set. If not make it an egg move that requires some chain breeding.

I actually am a unicorn.... *cries softly*

Anywho, I like the idea of humming bird -> peacock. Wasn't there already a peacock design going around anyway?

I don't know about the hummingbird evolving into a peacock, especially since the peacock was going to have a gender exclusive moveset (Suppossedly). Also, it's quite a jump, honestly, and they have completely unrelated characteristics.

That trio was based in MLP, but if you want one, go ahead, I guess; I chose in the interest of fairness to not bring those here. I even consulted that with akwila.

I like using it as a quiver dance; but I was mostly asking about the evasion buff.
