Lost Link?

Look at his deck strategy, it specifically states using Gengar LVX to Compound Pain.
Look at your post explaining the deck. It says Gengar Prime.
About that...more explanation, please. How does that ever speed up putting things in your opponent's Lost Zone? I'm SURE that I'll get corrected on this, but I personally see Gengar Lv.X as a waste. It doesn't put things in the Lost Zone, so why bother when that's your goal?

^I think its more a matter of, why not? If you're attacking with gengar, it means something went wrong with mew being your primary attacker. Gengar X will give you 30 more HP and way to slightly disrupt.

Wow. here we go again. Gengar Prime will NOT be broken. It will be a tough match up, but not broken. basically this is what everyone is suggesting.

Player A and Player B are both pro players in a tournament.

Player A's turn: attaches an energy to mew Prime and lost Zones Gengar
Player B's turn: does nothing...
Player A's turn: Uses (Hunter then) Lost Zone.
Player B's turn: does nothing.
Player A's turn: Uses (Hunter then) Lost Zone.
Player B's turn: does nothing.
...
Player A's turn: Uses (Hunter then) Lost Zone.
Player B's turn: does nothing -_-
Player A's turn: Plays Lost World and declares themselves the winner, yay!

seriously people? SPs, GG, Gengar... all were tough in their respective times, but NOT unbeatable.

my two cents.

^My version of what happens:

Player A's turn: attaches an energy to mew Prime and lost Zones Gengar
Player B's turn: Uses darkness grace or sableye to set up something
Player A's turn: Drops uxie, attaches energy and sends two pokes to the lost zone. One of which was important to their deck (2 LZ 0 KO)
Player B's turn: Knocks out Mew with main attacker (2 LZ 1 KO)
Player A's turn: Uses hunter, drops uxie back down, gets new mew attaches energy + energy acceleration, and lost zones 2 pokes(4 LZ 1 KO)
Player B's turn: Knocks out Mew with main attacker (4 LZ 2 KO)
Player A's turn: Uses hunter, drops uxie back down, gets new mew attaches energy + energy acceleration, plays lost world and lost zones 2 pokes(6 LZ 2 KO)

winner = lost world

That would be best case scenario for both players. If the lost world player didn't get the energy acceleration or couldn't get a poke with every energy, they could still easily win since the score is 6-2 in best case.

Lost World will be completely balanced. Keep in mind, you guys are assuming best case scenario. More than likely, LW player will not have a god start. Hunter burns their energy drops, so it could really deter from their playing. They NEED the Mew start and the uxie in hand (or way to get uxie). They also need to draw their hunters out. We'll see how it goes when the time comes, but I'm not seeing it.

Lost World will NOT be banned. Nintendo has not banned anything in the past (Sneasel was WotC). They will not right now. Remember when people want GG to be banned? That didn't happen. This won't either. the deck is completely balanced.

In Ohio a lot of the judges think they are going to ban it because it's so broken!
I've heard about that despite my lack of activity w/ tourneys lately..
If it's banned that just means i'll stick to SPs :p
I don't think it should be banned, i mean they haven't banned LuxChomp or GG or even Magmortar or Flygon X or Machamp SF or Gengar SF or Flygon EX delta or Mew EX versatility or Medicham EX or Blaziken RS or Blaziken EX or Empoleon DP or Kingdra LA so why Absol/Mew?

There is no reason or precedent to ban any cards. The attack is just as easy to play around as Poltergeist, and there are plenty of ways around it.

Stop being afraid of change, and be intelligent players. This won't pose any more of a problem than fainting spell Gengar, and that wasn't banned.

My point exactly.
I listed the major tier cards some for a longer stretch of time and this is just a stadium not the whole game guys, just be smart, Dialga G can help you, ERL can help you, lots of stuff can help you to beat it. Just stop this "ban happy" stuff, we don't want this game to turn into Yu-Gi-Oh, right?

Lost world is the most consistent deck in existence. all they need is a basic and an energy to get it going. Pokemon collector will easily take care of the setup. Unown Q gets around the energy attachment problem. Heck, you could probably even get set up first turn with a bebee's or pokemon communication.

I'm not looking forward to banning either. I just hope the ballance lost world. As Lou pointed out its intended for a 4 prize format. If they make lost world require 8 pokemon, it might just not destroy the format.

Which i am still annoyed that the USA and JPN have different rules and usually different rotations(when GG was kicking a@@ here, they stilll had Bannette EX in format :?

Exactly HOW do you play around Hunter followed up by Lost Zone attack?
Going to stuff a fossil in your deck? Which will be Spiritomb'd away?

This reply aimed at ApachePrime, btw.

Don't play another Bench pokemon? Gengar has no attacks that do damage... Seriously? It's not difficult guys, if you see a Mew Prime play around it. Let them throw as much as they want in the Lost Zone. Then you OHKO their low HP Mew... Quit wetting yourself over a new win condition. It's just as difficult to set-up and keep going as any other win condition.

And what if they tech in something with very high damage potential that can knock you out in one turn. Heck, even an SF Gengar might be able to OHKO you out of nowhere with the energy acceleration you're going to be playing anyway.

And what if Gardevoir's Power Lock could not be prevented? What if Garchomp could hit the bench and use Dragon Rush two turns in a row? Play smart and this will just be like every other match.

Also, Stadiums are not searchable by anything but attacks. Prepare with a Judge/Looker's and you could easily turn a losing game around.

Also, what energy acceleration? There's very little in this format.

There is no consistent energy acceleration for this kind of deck. Whats to stop the opposing player from playing a Mew tech?
As soon as the Lost world player uses hunter/lost zone attack, next turn the other player plays down their mew and use the attack of the now lost zoned Pokemon (they will have the right energy requirement because they would have thought ahead when picking it up with hunter)

Machamp SF just Laughs at an active Mew.

The same way a smart player can play around Dusknoir DP or Palkia G Lv.X, so can the same player play around having no bench or having a Pokemon on the bench at the right time. It called skill.

I still don't seem to get it. So After the mew gets knocked out, there will be another mew, another psychic energy, and another hunter waiting to be played? That is so not going to happen consistently.
