Calypso would have struck me for an indie role. Huh. Problem is he can't prove his role, but the sheer amount of abilities in it pretty much confirm it can't be even a safe-claim for scum. That doesn't rule him out for being indie, (Calypso would be an awesome safe-claim if we had Davy Jones) but for now I'll abstain.

##UNVOTE: mordacazir

Now I'll go ahead and follow my previous post against LC.
##VOTE: Little Cherrim

What is the reason you think it is probably not an indie safe claim? It actually looks like one by its structure.

Flavour experts- Your time to shine.

Tia Dalma, or the goddess Calypso was the lover of Davy Jones. Some of the pirates wanted to release her and use her powers to defeat East India, some where afraid that she would turn against them out of spite for sealing her.

She was actually plotting with Davy Jones to turn against the pirates, but when she found out that Jones had betrayed her, she vanished, leaving behind a giant maelstrom which resulted in the death of Davy Jones.

Something like that.

Meaning she's likely an indie, or at the very least, not aligned with the town.

Yeah, that probably is a safeclaim covering indie. If this is the case, then it certainly nullifies any argument you could possibly make against NP. I actually did think mordacazir was town before he claimed, but that kind of role seriously looks like indie.

I don't think that's a scum role, it doesn't show any particular alignment. Indie is your best bet.

Just based on the character itself, according to people who've actually watched the movies, Calypso wouldn't be town or scum. By common knowledge you'd think all that's left would be indie. Plus, just the way the role is built seems indie-like. I mean, as I compare this to the Darth Sidious role from Mafia XXXVIII the way it's built seems really similar.

Although, if mord is an indie, which after this claim he likely is, then I don't think that's indicative of NP's alignment. NP would almost certainly be scum in the case mord flips scum, which I now doubt as well. I mean, you can always keep looking into NP, but unless mord is lynched and turns up scum. Not indie, but specifically scum, he wouldn't be my top read Day 2.

@double o squirtle - mind stop lurking for a moment to give your point of view on this claim?
Sorry, I was writing something but I keep getting distracted :x

Okay, took some time to look over Cherrim and Morda's posts. Aside from inactivity I don't really see anything scummy about Cherrim. I've been in the situation where making posts can take a while, so I can believe the fact that it took him a while to make a defence. Morda actually seems a little more active than usual, though that might be just me or the fact that he's been under the spotlight for a while. As for the port thing, the fact that he didn't mention his reasoning with his vote is a bit suspicious, but when he said the reasoning for his vote after I didn't really find anything strange about that.

His role does look a little strange. This is because of two reasons, one being it's Calypso. She isn't exactly the type you'd expect to see on either faction, so I guess indie is possible. The second reason being that the indie's I've seen often have quite a few abilities. And that doesn't apply to just indie, it's not impossible for scum to have a bunch of abilities either. Just look at bb's role from Team GR's Revenge.

Tbh, looking at plays alone I'm not really getting a definite read on either of them. And since it's only Day 1 it's not like there's much else to go off of. :/ However when taking Morda's role into account, I'd rather lynch him. So I guess I'll ##Vote: Mordacazir

Think that puts him at L-3.

@Blakers you mentioned that you think mord is an indie yet you haven't changed your vote to him. May I ask, did you just forget? If not, what reasons do you think Little Cherrim is a better lynch candidate?

Me switching my vote to him would put him at L-1, and then he could self-hammer and we would have less time to scumhunt.

I'll likely switch to him tomorrow, but for now it stays on Cherrim.

Calypso seems like an indie, but a not threatening one. Just be sure to never pass anything to morda.
Right now, it's a hard decision. I have more confidence in morda being an indie than LC being a scum. but I'd much rather kill a scum than an indie that appears to be ignorable. It's not like my vote really matters, as it's at 0 today.
P.S. @Jabberwock @bbninjas I might have missed it, but in case of a tie, what will happen? If it is a no lynch, be sure to get someone in the lead by deadline. Both people have a pretty good chance of being anti-town, so it's certainly in our best interests to lynch.

Also, my role seems to somewhat contradict morda's claim, though I can't be sure. Does anyone here have the Brandy Goblet or Queen of Spades? If nobody does, morda's claim is certainly a lie.

There are only 30 minutes left, and I think the vote is tied. Somebody needs to change their vote (since we've received no host conformation on whether a tie is a no lynch).
P.S. I just noticed this:
Me switching my vote to him would put him at L-1, and then he could self-hammer and we would have less time to scumhunt.
This is a very dumb time to do that move. Morda is suspected of being an indie and indies don't have a team they want to keep alive (and almost always must be alive at the end of the game to win). Therefore, it would be stupid for an indie to self-hammer.

Well considering we have a mere 70 minutes to make a decision, I think this would be the time to change your vote.

I'll tag @scattered mind and @Lord o da rings since they are online right now.
Would either of you be willing to change your vote? We don't know if a tie means no lynch, and it is certainly in our best interest to get a lynch.
I have no interest in changing my vote. I'm still very much sold on mord's lynch, and think it'll help us more if he's lynched, since his lynch will hopefully give us information to go off of into Day 2. And we're likely to rid of the indie as well, so that's nice. We have an hour though, and if it needs to be done to get a lynch by, then I will, but only as a last resort.

Oh, I got messed up on the time and thought we had an extra day. Switching, if I'm correct, would hammer. You're sure you'd like me to do that?

I think we have only four minutes. Now that LC has cast a vote, we'll at least have a lynch for today. That's better than nothing.
