Finished Mafia XXXVII: Celever's School Grades ~ Game Over!

So I went and read the post again. It's here for anyone interested. I still fail to understand it a bit, but I have another observation. Call it reading into flavour too much, but if Celever couldn't take a class because it was cancelled, why would it be a role? It'd have to be an extracurricular taking away from his ability to get back into 6th form.

Who is helped by scum? Certainly not town.

You don't just have to ask for help & advice. Scum tries to manipulate town in a certain direction. But it's not like the opposite can't happen. Maybe through fake information, I'm not sure how that would transpire. I think there are few things as valuable in a werewolf game as a town who receives scum intel.

@Robin Aisaga What are your reads right now? Who did you use your ability on?

You should definitly read my first post. I don't have a receiver ability of any kind. I'm currently suspicious of Camoclone, it's really like he's trying to push you guys in a certain direction while keeping himself in the background.

Also if you meant my ''oscar winning performance''. I didn't use it. Anything could happen to me and I don't like that.

I'm not sure what occurrences you guys find hard to comprehend. Team Game? Don't be naive. If you're are a town member, start with being less stubborn. Don't just lynch a player out of policy or because actions don't make sense (in your eyes at least).

@PikaMasterJesi Could you please read my first D2 post again? Not trying to be sassy or anything, but it could answer some of your questions.

Are you kidding? You are telling us not to be naive when you pulled this crap? Yeah no. You are definitely going today.

So you only have a read on one person? No one else?

I didn't want Professor Palutena to be lynched... We could've been partners. Wether he was scum or town he could help me out. And now you're thinking. Oh my, Robin is a huge liar! And I am, you could lynch me solely for that. However there was a possibility that has not been considered yesterday and this possibility is the truth. I'm town just like Palutena. I have the exact same ability as Palutena, I never received it through another ability. I was under the impression that Palutena could be scum. My lynch was almost about to happen. I knew I was town, so what choice did I have but to let Professor Palutena be a victim first? He could've been scum. I will show you my entire claim even though that may result in my night kill. Instead of ending the day quickly, we should look for other leads. Do we really want to lynch another town member after our last loss? That would hurt town a lot. Don't let the scum influence you. They surely are the ones that want to make my lynch happen as soon as possible. You could say things escalated day one, but PLEASE don't be responsible for lynching another town. The info below is all you're going to get from my dead, and that certainly won't help us progress.
Another thing, in this post you claim that you didn't want PP to be lynched and later on you say that you think you would've benefited from him regardless of his alignment. So why, would you pull that last-ditch attempt to save yourself rather than try to prove yourself another way? The excuse you present in the above post is that he "might've been scum", but that sounds like a perfect excuse for scum to use because anyone "might've been scum".

At this point if it isn't already obvious he has no interest in sharing any reads and his only goal is saving his own skin. Just further evidence against him.

You missed "wanted to not get lynched so his scum team wouldn't be down a man on the first day".

@Robin Aisaga, please share your reads and answer our questions.

Oh wait, missed that he answered the reads. I should read closer. Do you have any others, though? That's just typical Camo play you've listed.

Also if you meant my ''oscar winning performance''. I didn't use it. Anything could happen to me and I don't like that.

I'll have to read back and double check, but didn't it say kills weren't redirected? There's not really that much bad stuff that can happen to you outside of dying. If I had an ability like that I'd be using it so that I could learn what other abilities are present within the game.

Everything aside, your play was super anti-town, and as PMJ said you should be policy lynched under LaL.

That's just how he plays, it's not different from last game.

He isn't pushing that much either...

Don't just lynch a player out of policy

Policy lynches are valid. Do you know what a policy lynch is? It's in the master document.

as PMJ said you should be policy lynched under LaL.

That's not completely accurate. He should be policy lynched because PP's role said his partner will be scum, which was then amended to say might be scum. Could be a slip on Celever's part (not making it ambiguous), or maybe they're really both town. LAL is still a thing but Celever going oops and fixing PP's role once Robin claimed is enough for me.

I don't have many reads on players. It's difficult when there's only one target to pick out scummy behaviour.

Could no one else tell that wasn't Celever's writing? No host in their right mind would confirm someone's neighbour to be scum, and Celever has helped host games before, including the last one (^v^). I only jumped on that train because there was no saving PP, and even he wanted out.

From this I just get the feeling players are afraid to make a stance. If you didn't have your own valid reasons to lynch PP you shouldn't have to join the wagon. PP was going to be lynched at the end of the day, a hammer was not needed. To me it seems like you only did it to look more like town. And that is scummy acting to me.

I'm not going to make another epic struggle guys. No hopeless drama. Just a hopeless drama.

Just setting things straight; Robin originally revealed a modified(?) variant of his own ability and claimed that it belonged to "Palutena or another member of the Mafia Team". Now he has claimed that same unmodified(?) ability as his own. And we know this because the original ability said 'Drama' and not 'Perfroming Arts'.

As others have been saying Robin changing the wording in his role and lying about it being his own yesterday is definitely suspicious. Especially since if he had claimed it as his own role, it would still have the same effect on the game.

Also, the only read he has presented is kind of OMGUS-y, which is what he did yesterday as well

I think this AtE or at least a defeatist attitude. Neither of which are helpful.
I'm not sure how close he is to lynch and the day probably shouldn't end this early, so I won't vote yet.

How can I even OMGUS in this situation lol...

I see a most players don't really have a clue on how to handle this situation. I can do a brief review of what occured yesterday and why, if you look hard enough, it makes sense, but seeing how impatient everyone is that's probably not going to happen :(

And I'm not trying AtE because I know that's not going to make any difference now. I was just using my characters name in a creative manner. GN or GG

> At the start of the day I was planning to keep myself in the background. Testing some new play styles for my third Mafia game. I was also waiting for the other gay player to hint at their character. If any information about the gay players QT was revealed. It would be better that I was not associated.
> At a certain point I came back to this thread and I was at L-2. If you argue that I could've taken another approach you're not completely wrong, there were several ways to handle this situation. For one I could've adressed further on how my wagon was not build on a strong case and there were better options available. I also could've made a long case against other suspects. However during the first day there were no strong arguments to present. And neither option could deliver a game changing result near the end of day one.
> Another option that may have been more compassionate would be to reveal my own claim. Since the last sentence (about a player's alliance) of a town character was not revealed yet during D1, it would've been hard to disprove. However that would likely mean an easy target during night phases. Going with this option would actually be a mediocre play.
> I'm not going to give in that easily. So I started to look for other ways to continue this game. PP already revealed part of her role and I could take advantage of that. I knew that even if PP did flip as scum, I still had a hard time defending myself today. But in a way it's still worth it. If you look at this situation from my eyes then it's a town member, versus a member who's alliance is not known. If your lynch is about to happen then this is a chance you shouldn't discard.

I know this comment isn't going to change much if you guys don't have the feeling this is ''resolved''. The next day is probably going to be like: OMG Robin you suck, what do we do now?! >.< I do have some comments concerning Wailord_2 and double o squirtle Which I may post sometime soon.

Post them ASAP.

@simsands , it seems like you have been confident in Jesi's lynch throughout D1 until the issue with PP and Robin came. Do you still see her as scummy as before? Do you think we should go for her tomorrow?

@TheSceptileMaster - Where are you?

@Wailord_2 - It's kind of weird for me to read that you give more points for Robin's lynch (OMGUS+AtE), and at the same time you explain how you won't vote for the day to not end early. If you don't want the day to end early when you have already a good lead (Robin), it is because you want to find other leads. But instead, you try to dig in the current case for more points, as if you just want to appear helpful.

She hasn't been showing as much scummy behavior today as she was doing yesterday, but she hasn't given any reason why we should believe she's town, either. I've noticed that she hasn't showed interest in any case other than the absolutely safest ones at that current moment. It seems like she doesn't want to have any unpopular opinions, which might be worth looking into.
