RE: The Last Movie You Saw

Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol

It was a pretty good movie, I'd recommend it for those who want to see a movie this week.

RE: The Last Movie You Saw

The Muppets,

Walking out, I felt like I was high.

Oh, that's awkward. I've only been high at the dentist during surgery. Seriously....

RE: Movie Discussion Thread II

I was just forced to bring my little brother to Alvin and the Chipmunks:Chip Wrecked...
....never....see....that....movie....ever. There is, for the most part, no plot in the movie. So little plot, in fact, that my 4 year old brother fell asleep during the movie, and I just left early.

Rotton Tomatoes gave this movie a "Rotten" score of 13% saying:
"Lazy, rote, and grating, Chipwrecked is lowest-common-denominator family entertainment that's strictly for the very, very, very young at heart."

I agree except for the last part. Not even my little brother liked it...he told me this when he woke up, "Gabe...never ever ever EVER take me to a movie again!".

RE: Movie Discussion Thread II

A critic had said that Tintin was the perfect blend of Indiana Jones and Pirates of the Caribbean, as if he had no knowledge that Tintin has been around since 1929. And if you didn't know that kiddos, then I think you've missed out on a lot of meaningful, enjoyable things in this new age of pointless media and entertainment. Go read Tintin collections.

RE: Movie Discussion Thread II

I recently watched "The Notebook" , I know its very old, but I never got to it Lol, and I loved it! It was beautiful.

RE: Movie Discussion Thread II

RE: Movie Discussion Thread II

Let's hope the glorious over-special-effects track record of lucasfilm doesn't screw up Red Tails, which I plan on seeing when it comes out. Also, did anyone see War Horse? I'd like to hear everyone's opinion on it.

RE: Movie Discussion Thread II

I haven't seen War Horse, but I know of the single cavalry charge in WWI, which the film may be based on.

RE: Movie Discussion Thread II

I agree with Shadow Lugia. The movie trailer makes Red Tails look a bit video game like and over special effects.

RE: Movie Discussion Thread II

I really want to see Coriolanus, but I can't really afford it right now and don't have the time, so sadly I may have to wait until it's On Demand or something. Which is a shame, because the acting looks phenomenal and I fear it's not going to do well in the box office. (Not that my one ticket sale would make a difference, but I'd still like to contribute.)

On the topic of War Horse, I haven't seen it but one of the radio shows I listen to a lot says they can't even think of it without crying.

I hated Tintin back then because it seemed too chesey to me, but this new movie might change my mind...
