RE: Movie Discussion Thread II

Nothing too awesome coming out today. Sleeping Beauty was pretty good but definitely deserving of its R rating.

Most of these movies I have all seen just recently within the last 4 months and I was impressed by most except for one. The only movie I did not like too well was Inception due to the fact that it was part fiction and reality. Also due to the fact that it is a weird movie. Especially when you are having a dream inside a dream. That's a little off the top and was my least favorite of all. I probably would not watch this one again. Guys I warn you. Watch at your own risk XD.:)

Inception is a critically acclaimed movie made by Christopher Nolan, possibly one of the greatest living filmmakers of our time. Inception requires one to pay attention to the details and actually be involved with the movie for the viewer to appreciate it. It's called science fiction for a reason, and by employing a blend of fiction and reality, Nolan was able to weave a more interesting story than if it had just been all reality and nothing else. There are important metaphors and allegories hidden in the movie's dialogue, sequencing, and structure that are necessary to find if you have any hopes of enjoying the movie. Inception is one of the few movies of the last few years that I honestly feel is keeping cinema true to itself, and keeping it an art. I would say Drive, Melancholia, Take Shelter, and The Artist all follow this trend as well.

RE: Movie Discussion Thread II

So the trailer for Madagascar 3 came out recently. I was a big fan of the previous two movies and so I was eagerly anticipating this third one. The trailer revealed a lot, and in the end I can't say I was very excited. Something just seems odd about this one.

Did anyone see the new Men In Black 3 premiere trailer? It looks sweet, and I have been waiting forever for this! The trailer although cool, hardly has anything to do with aliens though. I'm guessing from the trailer, that the movie will have something to do with time travel. If you get the chance check out the trailer on youtube.

Yess Muppets made it and Twilight's no where in sight! Too bad Don 2 didn't make that list, but then again I think it made only about 1 million in the US.

RE: Movie Discussion Thread II

The fact that the Muppets is still on there makes me very happy :D

Anyone seen MI III? Is it any good?

I saw it yesterday, and yes, Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol is absolutely amazing! It is by far the best Mission Impossible that has ever been released. Many of the scenes are so suspenseful, you are literally sitting at the edge of the seat. I definitely recommend seeing it. You will not regret it.

By the way it is actually MI IV, not III.

RE: Movie Discussion Thread II

Mission Impossible was awesome and was one of my favorite movies. The special effects were by far one of the best and makes you wonder how they do a fantastic job by making it all work out.

I wouldn't mind watching it again.

RE: Movie Discussion Thread II

Woops, you're right. And thanks for your little review. I might go and see it next week. Sherlock Holmes was pretty good and I had to make a choice between the two (money...). But I've that much positive comments about Mi IV that I really want to go...

I saw Sherlock Holmes on my birthday, and I loved it. I didn't think Ghost Protocol was going to be and good! I'll hafta think about seeing it!

RE: The Last Movie You Saw

I came back from watching "SnowBuddies". Those puppies are so cute...
