why had this never occurred to me? It explains so much, including why I consider her best pony, but I'm not sure if it is trolling though.

It is never done with malice, just child-like benevolence and glee, almost like how fluttershy treated rainbow dash during the 'find a pet' sequence.

maybe she just acts innocent as a way to troll the public, which would mean she is breaking the 4th wall again...

(remember kids, over analysis keeps the internet intelligent)

trixie got a name-drop, big mac still loves smartypants and got some actual lines (hearts and hooves doesn't count), pinkie is a party-addict and goes to Partyholics aponymous, twilight can make massive magical bubbles, rainbow dash uses clouds as weapons and celestia loves cake. Also, the letter at the end was brilliant as it was more relevant to the story.

think that's everything, but I'm sure I missed something

overall a great episode, one of the best for the season
