NBA Discussion Thread

RE: The Official NBA Discussion Thread

No one told Shumpert and J.R. Smith there was a game tonight, because they haven't shown up at all so far.

RE: The Official NBA Discussion Thread

JR Smith just wants to get this season over with so he can go party.

RE: The Official NBA Discussion Thread

The Grizzlies are a very tough team to say the least. Their defense is really dominate with Allen and 2 big men that are good are blocking shots. Their offense is good when Gasol is hitting his shots and they are getting offensive rebounds. They also are starting to hit 3 pointers with Conley, Pondexter, and Bayless. Their free throw shooting is the only thing that needs work IMO.

RE: The Official NBA Discussion Thread

They were playing on one foot coming into the playoffs. You have to give them credit for making it to the second round despite blowing up after game one.

RE: The Official NBA Discussion Thread

Where was Little Nate last game?

RE: The Official NBA Discussion Thread

We can now put DRose rumors to rest.

RE: The Official NBA Discussion Thread

hahaha Tony Allen's towel causing that four point play.

RE: The Official NBA Discussion Thread

It had to be done. The Grizz are the only team I can see from the West matching up with the Heat in the Finals.

I don't think, other then physicality Memphis could bring to the Finals, I don't think they would win in a firefight if LBJ and D-Wade catch fire and score 20-30 pts. each.

RE: The Official NBA Discussion Thread

I really hoped that the Knicks would win, but I guess thats not happening...
Final: Memphis 97 vs. Heat 102

No team would win that game against the Heat but Memphis is strong in the Heats weakest area: the Front Court. They have a very clear advantage over the Heat here and I would not trade that advantage over having players that can "catch fire" like LeBron and Wade can because it just won't happen often enough to win a seven game series. They also split games in the regular season so who knows.

RE: The Official NBA Discussion Thread

The one thing Memphis will be missing is Rudy Gay's scoring, who scored 21 in their win against the Heat, to help keep them going with the Heat. Conley has stepped up his game since the trade, and their loss after the trade was only by seven points. Should be a close series if it does happen.

I'm really looking forward to the Warrior's next season now after the impressive playoff push.

RE: The Official NBA Discussion Thread

If the Warriors hadn't choked away Game 1, this would be a completely different series.

As it stands, however, it's Memphis vs San Antonio in the WCF.

RE: The Official NBA Discussion Thread

Memphis v. San Antonio - San Antonio in 6.

Indiana (will beat NYK) vs. Miami - Miami in 6.
