Who's going to take that 8th playoff spot in the west? Jazz, or Lakers? I hear the Lakers have a better chance because of their schedule, but do you think the Jazz can make it. They've been playing very well recently.

Doesn't matter. Both are an easy first round exit to the Spurs or Thunder (although Spurs vs Lakers might be slightly even).

What do you guys think about KD35 or Melo for scoring champ?

I'd prefer KD to get it for history's sake and join a select few that have gotten it four years in a row.

LeBron is pretty much guaranteed for an MVP for the year and probably a Finals MVP too just like last year unless OKC can catch some basketball magic in the Finals should they meet up again. If the Knicks can actually make it to the Finals and beat the Heat, Carmelo would have my full respect but as of now, Durant deserves to be in the record books for me.

dmaster out.

RE: The Official NBA Discussion Thread

Dat game winning goaltend in the Houston game.

RE: The Official NBA Discussion Thread

Stephan Curry is the best shooter in the NBA. Had Curry hit that full-court shot (which just barely hit iron btw), I'd consider it one of the greatest shooting performances I have ever seen. Amazing game overall between the Lakers and Warriors. I just don't get how they lost when Curry puts up 47 and Kobe leaves at the end of the game.

Kobe's knees look like they gave out on him at the end of the game. Too much weight on his back lol.

edit: Oh man, possible torn achilles. Kobe says he can't even walk. :x

I'm sure getting to the free throw line helped a ton. 50 times is staggering, especially compared to the Warrior's number of attempts. Reminds me of OKC; it's just free points there at the line and they were obviously aggressive to get there so much.

I wonder how the Lakers will fare in the next games. I'm thinking either not that great unless Kobe can project his spirit on to them from the sidelines.

dmaster out.

RE: The Official NBA Discussion Thread

Nah, Kobe can't even inspire them while on the floor. That's why he was playing the entire game and is injured now. The other Lakers just don't get how dire a situation they're in. :/

RE: The Official NBA Discussion Thread

True basketball fans are saddened by learning Kobe has a possible torn Achilles. Even if he does, he'll be back one day.

RE: The Official NBA Discussion Thread

That guy never knows when to sit a game down. I respect his guts and his heart. He is basically willing his team to the playoffs.

CCloud, Westy doesn't shoot that much bricks anymore lately though D:

Steph Curry on the other hand, is willing my Fantasy Team to victory. To think that he was my 6th round pick because no one wanted his injuries.

RE: The Official NBA Discussion Thread

The Lakers beat the Spurs. Dwight Howard and Steve Blake really stepping it up!

RE: The Official NBA Discussion Thread

Can't wait till they get swept at the hands of OKC in the playoffs.

At least they deserve to get swept more than the Jazz lol.

Apparently Lakers can get seventh seed and play Spurs if they beat Houston. This is good because then we see Harden vs OKC r1.

RE: The Official NBA Discussion Thread

So much playoff drama, and we're pretty much assured of a LAC-MEM rematch from last year too.

RE: The Official NBA Discussion Thread

Can't wait for this weekend cause playoff basketball is here!!!!!!! With the Bulls win against the Wizards today we now face the Brooklyn Nets in the first round. Should be a great series.

RE: The Official NBA Discussion Thread

First round east matchups are all jokes. West is all that matters.

As much as I like the further developing rivalry between the two, I don't want to see my Clippers face such a physical team so early in the playoffs. Even if they beat the Grizzlies they're going to be physically drained going into round two to face OKC.

Jazz suck

They ran into the Z-Bo Stolen Train at the worst possible time.

RE: The Official NBA Discussion Thread

Bulls/Nets can go either and is by far the most interesting first round matchup in the East. Knicks/Celtics I think can be interesting as well, but the Knicks will ultimately win.
