Spoelstra is a good coach, but I don't think COY should go to a coach whose team is the most talented in the league, but a coach who helped his team exceed everyone's expectations.

I can agree on that, but in that case; I think Mark Jackson would win COY because he exceeded expectations.

RE: The Official NBA Discussion Thread

Watching the Knicks play has already made me think about my decision. :p Good job on offense and defense NY!

RE: The Official NBA Discussion Thread

Melo-WanKenobi, you're my only hope (against the Heat).

dmaster out.

RE: The Official NBA Discussion Thread

Celtics had the game until clutch time.

RE: The Official NBA Discussion Thread

Which is when the Knicks came through. Sadly, the Celtics had to keep it up, but couldn't.

According to Elias, the team that's won Game 1 has gone on to win 61 of 80 series since the first round was expanded to a best-of-seven format in 2003. Teams that won Game 1 at home won 51 of 58 first-round series (88 percent); teams that won Game 1 on the road won 10 of 22 series (45 percent).

This could mean a lot if this tradition keeps up.

There is a good case for Mark Jackson and George Karl based on that idea.

Mr Big Shot is back.

Clips let's get it.

RE: The Official NBA Discussion Thread

Brandon Jennings, who boldly stated the Bucks would win in six games, had a good game tonight, but it's going to take more than that to beat the Cheat.

RE: The Official NBA Discussion Thread

Bucks better bring out the video game controllers to win game two.

RE: The Official NBA Discussion Thread

Thunder blowing out the Rockets. Thought Houston would make a series out of it but it doesn't look as such judging from Game 1

They still lost by about half of what I thought they'd lose by :p

RE: The Official NBA Discussion Thread

Just based on game ones, there won't be any competitive series. I guess there's Denver-Golden St, but David Lee is out so we can count that toward the Nuggets.

Yeah, all Game 1's were total blowouts for the home team, but I think the 4-5 series will be the most competitive out of any series in the respective Conference Quarterfinals.
