New Ban Policy - PokeBeach Forum Jail

I like this policy better. But I will now watch out not to break the YPPY rule or any other rules. Although that rarely happens to me. :D

Everyone is thrown in the permabanned group (where no communication is allowed).

I think that this is a great idea, but I see it causing problems if someone that is active in the trading corner is banned in the middle of a trade.

I think the results should be fair considering most of the judges are mature so I think this is a good idea. Wait is WPM the only judge?

that happened before the change. but I'm thinking that the more strict rules will make users more cautious, in effect making the ban while trading less often. or at least I hope that's the case.

But it is unfair to the people that are trading with said banned member.

You can use email/instant messenger or ask an smod to help you get in contact with a banned member if you have a trade going on.

This seems fair. The stricter the forums are, the safer they are from "Rule constant". Members who join soon better brush up on the rules and this new policy. I used to see a lot of new members not caring about their posts, they were usually spam with poor, poor grammar. Hopefully they can behave themselves. Luckily I have no infractions.

Does that mean that old members that were banned(and Perma-banned) like last year can await this "Trial"? I don't think so, I just want to be sure, maybe I'm too paranoid.

Yes, old banned members can be unbanned via this process.

O_0...

Dear gosh. Well, I guess that means one of my perma-banned friends could come back. Though, these people still have to prove their innocence. This seems like a good idea.

Sounds like a sensible and resourceful idea. It'll be nice to see some people return and justify their actions. IRS probably been asked, but is the forum jail exclusive to mods and banned members, or can we see what's going on?

I assume it's exclusive to them. I don't think they would want us being able to post or see the threads. I hope it's exclusive to them only, don't know why, I just feel that way.

I'd assume for the privacy of the banned member, forum jail is exclusive for the Staff and the banned member.

Yes, it is.

Would we get banned for breaking YPPY?
If you had 80% or 90% for whatever reasons and then broke YPPY, (20%) then you would be banned because it would bump you to over 9000 100%.

No, just warned. But if you broke YPPY multiple times (or any other rules for that matter) and got your warning level up to 100% you would in fact end up getting banned.

Late edit: Did you really ninja me...?

This new system sounds great. It will hopefully get people to clean up their act, not that too many people need to. So there is a slight possibility Holy Star will come back :D.
