BW/BW2 New Type Combos

I didn't mean it like that. I didn't judge it based on the Pokemon, I'm saying a pokemon with two of the same element is stupid because it can't be like, "double watery". That's just silly.

And any weaknesses the Pokemon would have are doubled. When Gamefreak comes out with a dual Water/Water type, I'll literally mail you 100 dollars. You can bet on it.

It's stupid and silly, huh? No, I don't see why pokemon typing has to confined by someone's lack of imagination.

Double weaknesses and double resistances are the point. That double-typed pokemon would be interesting to battle against. I'm trying to come up with ideas from a battler's point of view. Pokemon is just a video game, and lots of things in the pokemon world don't make sense in the real world. I don't care if it's "silly". It's just an interesting typing for interesting gameplay.

What makes Sableye more Dark than a Gengar? They both hate sunlight and play tricks in the dark. What makes Altaria more Dragon than a Gyarados? What makes Heracross more of a Fighter than Pinsir? What makes Dustox, Venomoth, and Beedrill less of a Flyer than Beautifly and Butterfree?
A pokemon may not seem that they are any "more of [whatever element]", and yet they have that extra element.
As for why a pokemon would ever two of an element, here are some possible reasons:
A pokemon is Fighting/Fighting because they know two drastically different fighting styles, or they're just incredibly knowledgeable in fighting.
A double Metal/Metal pokemon is consisted of many different types of minerals.
Pokemon is just a product of game developers' creativity and imagination. I can definitely see a double-type-typed pokemon being made for whatever reason.

edit: No, for example a double-fire pokemon would boost its attack by (1.5)x(1.5) = 2.25
Gengar is more ghost then sableye because it's has ghost as it's primary type unlike Sableye. And gyarydos isn't dragon. But yeah i would like Dark/steel.

i still cant belive mawhille is just steel, it had such potential to be dark/steel lol

I thought it would be Steel/Fighitng, and I thought Lucario would be Dark/Fighting.

I thought Mawile would just be Dark. there is no real reason it's steel. . . at all. I mean I even read the On the Origin of Species article on Mawile. It didn't tell me why Mawile is steel-type :(

some1 did earlier*cough* me*cough*

oh wait, never mind, i thought i had....but someone else did say fire/ghost though

ooh! i thought of other cool typings i would like:

electric/dark
electric/psychic
electric/fighting
ground/ghost
steel/ghost
dark/psychic

also, i know i've talked about water/ghost already. but it has to be my second-favorite type combo yet to be used other than normal/ghost. call me stupid, but for some reason, i've always imagined water/ghost as a loch ness monster-esque thing! i don't know, i got bored one day and thought up ideas of pokemon and that came up, and i've loved the idea/typing ever since, lol.

edit:
I think I'm the only one that's said Fire/Ghost... :(

nah, i mentioned it on page 11, i think. :) pretty cool typing imo.

Fire/Ghost could be one of those flaming, wispy skulls in mythology. They really screwed up on Duskull, which they could have easily made Ghost/Fire.

I'd have to say they screwed up on Ninetales as well. It fits very well with the Fire/Ghost typing. Heck, I'd even say Fire/Psychic could work, but we do have Victini now (although we still have no idea why Victini is that typing.)

The double typing thing is a funny concept, but it would never happen. Even in the pokemon world, it just...wouldn't make sense.

I agree that Normal/Ghost would be pretty cool. Ghost, previously weak to Ghost, is now immune, and Normal, previously weak to Fighting, is now immune to it in addition to other normal attacks. Then it could have levitate to make it immune to ground moves.

Dark/Psychic is interesting as well. It's similar to the Steel/Bug typing in that it would have a 4x weakness, but they neutralize the rest of each other's weaknesses.

Its pokedex entries state that it's horns are made of steel (it's jaws originated from its horns too).

no one can beat my ideias i want a

DRAGON/FIGHTING best combo ever

FIGHTING/ICE double stab on icepunch

STEEL/POISON did for the L.U.L.Z

Are you high? That's impossible! Ice punch is an ice type attack so it would only receive stab for the ice typing. Also, there are no double type attacks...

no it could have the punching boosting ability which is like stab so it could have double stab. oh and a gras ghost or grass fire. or maybe ghost flying

luxray should have been electric/dark and gochiruzeru(spelling) should have been dark/psychic. hopefully she gets an evo that is dark/psychic

Who knows, her type might be changed to Dark/Psychic? Just like Chatot, who was pure flying, became Normal/Flying.

im judging by its name: chillARMY. and it looks about 50/50 that it will have an evo(i doubt it has a prevo)
