Northern California Regionals 2012

So I ended up losing in the in Top 8 to Hammertime with Terra. It came down to the third game and he drew the catcher he needed so... But whatever, I'm extremely happy with my performance considering this is my second Regionals. And guys, it was the other Emily, from Arizona.

Top 8 is a good result in Regionals. You should be proud of it. Btw do you guys know how Eli covitz fared today?
 
The more I think about it, the more I know I should have gone with Darkrai/Hydreigon... I won like two side events with it and all the games I lost in the actual event I could have won with D/H. Live and learn though.

Ok top 4 in Masters featured last year's defending champion Murat and 2 other people from GK, Jason and Kian. Completing the quartet was Martin from another league.

I will try to get more info since Im not in the venue itself. I was hoping the Pokebeachers over there will update us but alas no updates from them. Two of the players in Top 4 were newly promoted Masters from Seniors (Kian and Jason). In Battle Roads Kian played Darkrai-Hydreigon while Jason played Eels. Murat usually borrows someone's deck hahahahaha!
 
Here is what i have found out from various snooping.

Seniors
Theo T4'd
Gistica T8
Eli lost at some point (T2 i believe.)
That is all.
 
Ok Kian won it all in Masters with Ray Eels. There were 2 Ray Eels in top 4, 1 darkrai mewtwo and the other deck still needs to be determined.
 
...Ray-Eels is a thing?
I thought that deck was terrible...
 
Oh, Raikou.
That makes more sense. Straight Rayquaza + Eels gets absolutely nowhere.

Ooh, I didn't see any of those coming (well, except for the Darkrai/Mewtwo one). Interesting variety.

These results are so much different than ours. I think we had all Darkrai variants in T4 of Masters.
