RE: Pokémon Max's Story: The PMC VS. The LPC Seventeen!

Chapter 15: The Brothers Rayquaza!

“Rayquaza!” yelled Max to the raging Pokémon, “Stop!”
Rayquaza, however, wasn’t up for negotiation. He used a Hyper Beam and blasted the leaders of the PMC off the tower!
“Mew!” yelled Abad, “Go!”
The blue colored Mew came out and caught Max and James in both his hands and Abad using his tail.
They lowered to the ground, and Max said, “That is one ticked off Pokémon!”
“You're telling me,” said Abad as Lizardon and Rekkuza came to the ground.
“This is a problem…” said James, “Since Rayquaza is the only Pokémon who can stop Groudon and Kyogre, and he’s under control, there’s no way to stop them…”
“Unless we find the Green Orb!” said Max.
“And where do we begin?” asked Abad.
Max just smirked, and looked into the sky, where a luxury jet was flying overhead.
“Whiro,” said Max.

On board the jet…
“To greatness!” said Whiro. He and the LPC Seventeen were gathered around a large table on the jet.
“Soon!” he said, “The PMC will become so caught up in stopping the legendary trio that we can pick off the other legendaries one by one.”
“Question,” said Demeter, “While I have no opposition to what we are doing, the question is why?”
“The answer my dear niece is that of destiny.”
“Listen here gramps,” said Spike, “I’m in this just for power, nothing else!”
“You ignorant fool! You were born into this great family, the family that is written in the ancient texts to one day rule this world and all the inhabitants! We are the definition of greatness, and-”
KA-BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!
“PMC!” yelled Whiro as the leaders came flying in on a Dragonite, Flygon, and Charizard along with one very ticked off Rekkuza.
“This ends now!” yelled James.
“Where’s the Green Orb?” demanded Abad
Demeter, Aqua, and Harpie stepped forward, and sent out their Rhydon, Poliwrath, and Fearow.
Rekkuza didn’t wait for orders. He blasted them all into submission, and the LPC sent out more Pokémon. But, they were no match for this angry brother. Finally, he wrapped his body around Whiro, and began squeezing the life out of him.
Max walked up to him, looked him in the eyes, and said, “I seriously doubt this is worth your death. Tell me where the orbs are…ALL of them. And, of course, we let you live!”
Whiro began to laugh, and Rekkuza loosened his grip to allow him to speak.
“The orbs are in a machine in the crushing depths of the flooded portion of the earth…even the strongest of Water-Types cannot reach it!”
“Who said we’re using a Water-Type?” asked Max, “Destroy this plane!”
The leaders Pokémon all listened, and the plane exploded as they flew out. Lizardon flew alongside Max, and Max said, “Lizardon, Blazing Kamikaze!”
Lizardon flew high above the clouds, and then blasted down towards the water!
“Max!” yelled Abad.
“Are you mad?” exclaimed James.
Max didn’t respond, and just watched. Lizardon had a huge fiery blaze around him, it was white hot and had a radius of a mile. He slammed into the water, and it evaporated the flood back down to nearly the regular level!
Lizardon had cleverly aimed so that he landed on Mossdeep City.
“James,” said Abad, “Go to Mossdeep and make sure Lizardon is safe, Kyogre is gonna be ticked about that one. Max, we’re going under!”
James took to the skies on Flygon, while Max and Abad grabbed hold of Max’s Feraligatr and dove into the depths.

They spent much time underwater searching for the machine that was controlling the Orbs. It was getting dark, so their light became limited. So, Abad sent out his Mew, who Transformed into a different colored Lanturn.
Within minutes, they found the machine. Max sent out his Aggron and Mew Transformed into a Gyarados, and they carried the large machine to the surface.

On Mossdeep, they met with James, who had a spare change of clothes for his soaked comrades.
“I see you found it,” said James with a smile.
“Yeah, except there is one slight problem,” said Max.
“We took a look at it, and it appeared there is a machine on each of the three legendaries, and the only way to disconnect the Orbs from this machine is to disarm the machines attached to each of their heads…”
“Well,” said James, “It’s time to pick our poison; which do we go after first?”
“Groudon,” said Max, “He’s the slowest, and he’s stuck on land. Then, we go for Kyogre, who if we can get on him while he’s in a jump, shouldn’t be too hard. Finally, Rayquaza… enough said.”
“Alright,” said Abad, “I’ll stay here while you two disarm Groudon and Kyogre. Once that is done, I’ll take care of Rayquaza.
“You got!” said James.

Max and James flew to Mount Pyre, and they dodged numerous Water- and Fire-Type attacks from the behemoths. Groudon caught sight of them, and he began shooting intense Solarbeams at them.
“Charizard!” Max yelled, “Return fire!”
Charizard, taking advantage of Groudon’s Drought Ability, began shooting Solarbeams at Groudon, which were extremely effective against the Ground-Type.
“Flygon!” yelled James, “Use Dragonbreath!”
Flygon hit Groudon right where Charizard did.
“Great job!” praised James.
“Alright,” said Max, “Can you distract him so I can get close?”
“No problem partner!”
James directed Flygon to soar around Groudon’s face, while Max and Charizard went around towards his back.
Coming close, Max sent out Furret, who’s light weight made it so Groudon’s thick hide couldn’t feel the Pokémon as it scurried up the back of his neck.
As she approached his head, Furret saw a strange device on his face, right between his eyes. Furret jumped onto his nose, and Groudon saw her and flung her off!
Well, Furret wasn’t too happy, and in midair released a full-throttle Hyper Beam right at the machine!

Back on Mossdeep…
Abad was watching the Orbs, and the Red Orb was released.
“One down,” said Abad, “Two to go…”

Back at Pyre…
Groudon snapped back to his senses, and he saw Max and James in front of him.
“Groudon!” yelled Max, “We mean you no harm!”
“Understand that we are here to help you and Kyogre!” James pleaded.
Groudon, remembering the duo from the second NPZ War, yielded to their commands, and was ready to assist them in any way possible.
“Alright!” said James.
“Groudon,” said Max, “Remember your old friend Kyogre?”
Groudon smirked. Even though he and Kyogre had made friends, he knew this was one time it would be okay to attack his old rival.

Abad was looking out toward Lilycove, and saw the Continent Pokémon Groudon walk onto its shores, and he was looking at Kyogre.
“Rekkuza,” said Abad, “Go help them.”
With a roar in compliment, Rekkuza flew off to help Max and James.

Kyogre saw Groudon, and began using his Drizzle ability to cause a downpour.
“Oh no!” said James, “Groudon is going to be severely weakened!”
“Don’t count him out yet!” yelled Max, “Look!”
Rekkuza was flying in, using his Air Lock to negate the Drizzle.
“Alright!” said James.
“Rekkuza,” said Max, “Use Sunny Day!”
Rekkuza made it extremely hot, and then James said, “Solarbeam, Groudon!”
Groudon, with massive power on his side, destroyed Kyogre’s mind control device, and also, even though Kyogre was now free, he was also ticked, and Hydro Pumped Groudon!
“Oh no,” said Max.
“They’re starting again,” said James.

The duo returned to Mossdeep, and told Abad what happened.
“C’mon!” yelled their leader.
They all hopped onto Rekkuza and they went into the ozone, where they found Rayquaza, and he attacked right away.
“Rekkuza!” yelled Abad, “Use Dragonbreath!”
Rekkuza hit his brother dead on, sending him hurdling to the ground.
“Follow him!” ordered Abad, “Guys! Get off!”
The trio jumped off, and Abad was caught by his Dragonite, while Max and James were caught by Lizardon.
“Now Rekkuza!” yelled Abad, “Draco Meteor!”
Rekkuza slammed into his brother with full power, and there was a huge explosion.
When the smoke cleared, the brothers Rayquaza layed there, and then, slowly rose.
Rekkuza was ready for attack until he realized he had freed his brother. The to legendary Pokémon looked at Groudon and Kyogre.
Without delay, they flew towards the battling behemoths, and Dragon Clawed both of them. Then, using their Air Lock abilities, they calmed the beasts.
The leaders of the PMC landed, and convinced all four legendary Pokémon to come with them to the PMC HQ.

Abad, James, and Max returned to the lounge room while the others took care of their new legendary roommates.
They flopped onto the couches, and Abad yelled, “Will it ever end?!?!?”
“Murphy’s Law,” said James in response.
“Huh?”
“Anything that can go wrong,” said Max, “WILL go wrong…”
“Joy…oh no…”
“What?” asked Max.
“Remember what we wished for five years ago next week?”
“At the end of the war?” asked James.
“Jirachi would wake up every five years instead of every one-thousand!” said Max.
“Which means the LPC will be going after him!” exclaimed James.
Abad looked at his partners, and Max said, “Yeah yeah, get a move on, we know.”

RE: Pokémon Max's Story: The PMC VS. The LPC Seventeen!

Chapter 16: When You Wish Upon Jirachi!

“Why did we make that dumb wish in the first place?” asked Max.
“So we wouldn’t have to time travel one-thousand years to get a hold of the little guy!” replied James.
They were flying at top speed on Max’s Aerodactyl. The duo was headed back to Mossdeep, where Jirachi was only a space flight away.
“What if they won’t let us go up?” asked James, “I mean, true, we are the PMC, but they can’t just schedule a space launch with only one weeks notice.”
“Already covered!” said Max.

At the Space Station…
“I said you will give Max and James a weeks worth of training and send them up one week from today!” yelled Mr. Stone of Devon Corp., who also owned the station.
“But we cannot do that!” said the man who ran the station, “There are men who have been waiting a lifetime to go up, and if we use all of our fuel for them, none of them will ever get the chance!”
“The world is at steak here!” yelled Stone, “Your fired! Now! Get me the space trainers NOW!”

An hour later, Max and James arrived, they were greeted by Stone, who led them to their training.
After several days of learning how to use the equipment and run the shuttle, they went into a mission briefing room with Stone.
“Okay boys,” said Stone, “First, let me introduce you to the man accompanying you on this mission,” his son, former Hoenn champion Steven, walked in, “I believe you know my son, Steven.
“Moving on, here’s what you’re going to have to do: Jirachi is currently headed for Earth, and we are going to sent you on an intercept course, where you will obtain the Pokémon.
“Then, you will use the autopilot to direct you to the waters just south of your headquarters. As for Steven, he is coming with you because of his extensive knowledge of Steel-Type Pokémon “
“So,” said James, “Let’s roll.”

“THREE!!!! TWO!!!! ONE!!!! BLAST OFF!!!!” roared the speakers in the shuttle.
Once they left the gravity of the planet, they looked out the window, and saw a meteor hurdling to earth.
“There it is!” said Steven.
Max floated over to a control panel, and typed in some orders.
A claw came out of the shuttle, and grabbed the meteor. It brought it into the shuttle, and then it was cooled with water.
“Amazing,” said Steven.
“And just in time,” said James, looking at a clock, “He’s going to wake up….now!”
The meteor began glowing, and as the light faded, it revealed the tiny legendary.
“Max! James!” he called in their heads.
He began flying around, excited to see his friends.
“Let’s head back to Earth,” said Steven.

They entered the earth’s atmosphere, and landed in Lake of Rage….but all wasn’t as planned.
“LPC!” yelled Max, as they got out of the shuttle.
A Steelix was blasting the shuttle with a Flamethrower.
Max got on Charizard, James on his Flygon, and Steven on his Skarmory.
“C’mon Jirachi!” yelled Max. Jirachi grabbed onto James’ arm, and they flew off. But, they were then attacked by a flock of Xatu!
“Nice try!” yelled Psych, “But you can’t win this time!”
“Jirachi,” said James, “I wish the Xatus were on the ground in cages,” Jirachi did so, “And that Psych didn’t have any of his Pokémon and was stuck in…”

At the BulbaDay Care center in Pallet Town…
“Get the big meanie!” yelled a four-year-old. A horde of kids no older than five or six began punching and kicking Psych.

Back at Lake of Rage…
“Haha!” yelled James, “Greetz!”
“Let’s get out of here!” yelled Steven as Spike’s own Skarmory began to fly up.
“Jirachi,” said James, “I wish me and Max were at the PMC and Steven was with his father!”

Now at the PMC, Max and James took Jirachi to the vault.
“Nice work,” said Abad, “LPC must be losing their touch to let you guys go that easy.”
“I doubt that,” said Max.
“Yeah,” said James, “Without Jirachi, we wouldn’t have made it out.”
“I guess you’re right…”
The alarm began to sound. The leaders headed for the front door, and when they looked outside, their was a green and purple meteor heading straight for the PMC!
“Evacuate,” whispered Abad.
Max and James ran inside yelling for everyone to evacuate the building.

RE: Pokémon Max's Story: The PMC VS. The LPC Seventeen!

Chapter 17: D.N.A.: DEOXYS-Ribose!

“Go Metagross!” yelled James.
“Aggron, let’s rock!” yelled Max.
As the two meteors continued to hurdle towards the base, Max and James’ Steel-Type Pokémon prepared to stop the meteors.
Then, just as they were about to collide with the Pokémon, the meteors turned into the two legendary Deoxys!
“Oh boy,” said Abad.
Then, following the trial that the Deoxys was Psych’s jet.
“I’ll beat you this time, PMC!” yelled Psych.
Then, as he was about to crash land, the two Deoxys transformed into their Attack Form and using their tentacles whipped the jet into the next region.
“James,” said Abad, “Tell Ricky and Jason to look up anyone who has encountered Deoxys before. We need to communicate with them.”
“Got ya,” replied James.

The next day, a girl named Hitomi arrived at the HQ with her laptop.
“Welcome to the PMC,” said Abad, “It’s great you could come on such short notice.”
“Well,” said Hitomi, “When I heard the Deoxys were back, I couldn’t resist!”
“We heard you have experience with communicating with them?” asked Max.
“It’s true, their language is strange, but it is comprehensible…can I see them?”
They went to the vault, and once the door opened, they saw the Rayquaza brothers chasing the Deoxys, and not in a playful manner!
Just as the four trainers were about to send out their Pokémon to help, Mewtwo created a psychic barrier in front of the legendary Dragons, which then wrapped around them into a bubble.
“Thanks,” said James.
“No problem,” replied Mewtwo in their heads.
“Wow,” said Hitomi, “So many legendaries in one place…it’s surreal.”
“When their not in the middle of a war,” said Max, “It definitely is.”
The Deoxys came in front of them, and both released a strange light. Hitomi scanned it with her computer, and she said, “It looks like they’ve come not from being chased, but to help.”
“So Psych was just being a pain,” said James, “Figures.”
“Well,” said Hitomi, “Just be glad they’re hear on your side”

They took the senior members to the meeting room. It would be soon that the LPC would come looking for them, so they had to be ready.
“Okay,” said Abad, “We’ve collected all the legendary Pokémon from Kanto, Orange Islands, Johto, and Hoenn. But, I’ve been contacted by Cynthia of the Sinnoh region. She’s worried the legendary Pokémon there are the next targets. As soon as we are SURE that the LPC won’t be coming around here for a while, we’re gonna-”
KA-BOOOOM!!!!
“One day,” muttered Abad, “One lousy day is all I want.”
“Dude,” said Jay, “It’s ALL of them.”
“Prepare to fight!” yelled James. Max then opened a clear box on the wall and sounded the alarm.
The gang ran outside with their Pokémon battle-ready, and the all-out fight began!
Right away, LPC grunts were using their various Pokémon to go after James’ Tyranitar.
“Hyper Beam!” yelled James. Then, Tyranitar blew several Pokémon into their trainers.
“Feraligatr,” said Ricky, “Use Surf!”
Washing away hundreds of Pokémon, the battlefield became flooded.
“Thunder-Wave!” yelled Shadow to her Jolteon.
All their enemies, even the trainers, were shocked into submission.
Then, without hesitation, they retreated.
“Well,” said James.
“Um…” said Jason.
“That was…” said Abad.
“GUYS!!!!!!” yelled Max, who was running out of the building.
“What?” asked Abad.
“The Deoxys,” said Max, “They took ‘em both!”
“So that was nothing but a distraction!” yelled Ricky.
“Played like a fiddle…” said James.

They went into Ricky’s office, and he was busy typing away at his computer.
“Well,” said Ricky, “Right now, the LPC couldn’t have gotten far. If we’re lucky, one or both Deoxys have sent out their aurora signal.”
“Yeah, but even still,” said Max, “The LPC would just waltz in here and not have a plan to stop that.”
“But I don’t get it,” said Shadow, “If they could come in and just take the Deoxys without us realizing it, why not take the others?”
“They must have a plan,” said Abad, “And we gotta stop them. James and I will see if anyone in the local area saw their plane; Ricky, you’re in charge of this operation; that means in regards to this case, Ricky has command position, higher than I do; Max and Shadow, I want you two to help Ricky. Jay, Jason, begin repairs and when you’re done, get Mewtwo to help you guys revamp our security system. I don’t even want a single Pokémon, no matter how small, to come within a MILE of here without detection. Move out!”

Max, Shadow, and Ricky took a PMC surveillance van and moved out. Ricky was in the back, typing away doing stuff the other two would never understand.
Max was driving, and then, a whole bunch of Magikarp were flopping in the middle of the road, so he slammed his breaks.
“What’s your problem?” asked Shadow, aggravated.
“Look,” said Max, “C’mon, let’s get them into some water.”
The trio got out, and then, Aqua jumped out of nowhere! She said, “Prepare to battle my Magikarp!”
“Prepare?” asked Ricky.
“Battle?” asked Shadow.
“MAGIKARP?” asked Max.
The trio began laughing.
“Okay,” said Max, “I’ll entertain you, go Charizard.”
Charizard took one look at his opponents, and then fell to the ground, chuckling so hard he was crying!
“Tackle,” said Aqua.
The six Magikarp flew through the air, and tackled Charizard, sending him flying sky-high!
“What the?” asked Max.
Charizard recovered in the air, and looked at the Magikarp with great rage.
“Feraligatr, I choose you!” said Ricky.
“Let’s go, Jolteon!” yelled Shadow.
“Flail!” yelled Aqua.
They attacked and knocked out the three Pokémon!
“What is going on?” asked Max.
“We’d better go…” said Shadow, “Abad’s gonna want to know about this.”

“I don’t believe you,” said Abad, “Can I believe Feraligatr or Charizard got beat, maybe. But JOLTEON losing to a MAGIKARP? He’s an Electric type!”
“Look,” said Ricky, “I scanned the Magikarp, they seem to have been infused with DNA from the Deoxys. It seems that the LPC is duplicating the DNA and putting it into their Pokémon to raise certain stats to the extreme!”
“So, what do we do?” asked James.
“Well,” said Max, “They’re using ‘legendary’ Pokémon, I think it’s only fair we hunt them down and use the real deal.”
“Okay, but before we attack,” said Abad, “I want some kind of device designed to reverse the DNA changes in the Pokémon, we can’t have a bunch of Pokémon as powerful as Deoxys running around on this planet, understood?”
“I’ll get right on it!” said Ricky.

Ricky was in the lab. He had been working non-stop for hours, and then, without realizing the time of night, he got onto the very loud P.A. system and yelled, “I GOT IT!!!!!”
Well, needless to say there were many complaints from the members the next day, but, Ricky was praised as well.
“Okay,” said Abad, “We’re going in. I’ve asked Mewtwo, both Rayquazas, and Lugia to go on this mission. I’m assigning Ricky as mission leader again. Get as much data as possible on what they’ve done, but don’t risk losing the Deoxys.”
“Got it,” replied Ricky.

The next day, Ricky, Max, and Shadow flew off toward the LPC HQ with the four legendary Pokémon.
“Alright,” said Ricky, “Here’s the plan: Rayquaza and Rekkuza, you two will blast an opening. Shadow, you and Lugia will help them distract the LPC while Mewtwo, Max, and I will find the Deoxys and any Pokémon they’ve altered. Max, you have the Snag Machine ready?”
Max lifted up the sleeve of his coat and said, “You bet.”
“Look!” said Shadow, “The LPC headquarters!”
The two Rayquaza sped forward and attacked, grabbing the attention of the LPC.
“Alright!” said Ricky, “Shadow, keep them distracted!”
“You got it!” said Shadow as she and Lugia flew in to join the fray.
“Follow me!” Mewtwo said into their minds.
On Max’s Charizard, Ricky and Max followed Mewtwo around the back of the building to a warehouse, and then landed.
“It’s locked,” said Max pulling on a door.
Mewtwo raised his right hand in a fist, then, eyes glowing a bright blue, he opened his fist and the door bust open!
“Apparently not,” said Ricky.
They ran into the warehouse to find it was a giant lab! There were Pokémon in cages that exhibited strange behaviors, such as the extra strong Magikarp, and lightning fast Snorlax.
“Mew!” called Max.
Mew came flying down, and Max said, “Mew, Mewtwo, Teleport all these Pokémon into Ricky’s lab, we’ll reverse the procedure later. And me and Ricky will find the Deoxys.”
“Understood,” said Mewtwo.
As the two Psychic Pokémon began Teleporting in and out with the Pokémon, Ricky was hacking into the computer mainframe.
“They’re deep underground,” said Ricky.
“But there’s no elevator or stairs,” said Max, “Trapdoor?”
“Yeah, I’m trying to figure out the password, the encryption is surrounded with tons of firewalls…”
“You try that while I take the old fashioned approach; Aggron, Nidoking, Monfer-”
“What’s wrong?”
Max pulled out a Master Ball that wasn’t customized, but contained a Pokémon.
He threw it out, and out came the Skorupi that had captured itself!
“Um…” said Max, “I didn’t catch that.”
“Well,” said Ricky, “That’s the least of our problems, so get moving!”
With Aggron, Nidoking, Skorupi, and Monferno, Max ordered some heavy attacks onto the trap door. Finally, with a Headbutt attack from Aggron, Aggron got his horns into the crack.
Nidoking grabbed Aggron and used him as a crowbar to pry it open, just enough that Monferno and Skorupi could squeeze through.
“There should be a manual open button on the other side!” said Ricky.
Max repeated Ricky’s words to his Pokémon, and several seconds later, the door opened!
“Alright!” said Max.
“Oh no!” yelled Ricky.
“Get them!” yelled Psych as he and the LPC goons came rushing in.
Without hesitation, Ricky, Max, and his Pokémon jumped in and manually closed the door.
“Go, Camerupt!” yelled Ricky, “Flamethrower!”
Camerupt welded the door shut, now impossible to open.
“You know,” said Max, “For a computer genius, your pretty stupid!”
“Why?” asked Ricky.
“HOW IN THE NAME OF CELEBI DO WE GET OUT?!?!?!?”
“Um…”
“Let’s go, I’m sure the Deoxys can get us out of here.”
“Right! My plan all along!”
“Sure it was.”

After five minutes of going down hundreds of stairs, they arrived at two tanks, each one holding an unconscious Deoxys.
“Can we blast them out?” asked Max.
“Hold on,” said Ricky. He plugged his computer into the control panel, and with the clicking of a couple of keys, the fluid in the tanks drained, and the Deoxys arose from their sleep.
“Darn,” said Max, and then with disappointment in his voice, “I like blasting…”
“Deoxys,” said Ricky, can you get us out of here and get Shadow on the way out?”
Without time to blink, Max and Ricky were next to Shadow inside the PMC headquarters!
“Um…” said Abad, stunned by their abrupt entrance, “Nice job…?”
“Thanks,” said Ricky.

Chapter 18: PMC! He’s Bugging Me!

“Congratulations!” said Abad, “We have rescued all the legendary Pokémon from Kanto, Orange Islands, Johto, and Hoenn!”
The whole PMC was in the auditorium, and they were happy it was almost over.
“Now the next order of business,” said James as he took the podium, “Sign-ups for volunteers to go to the Sinnoh region will start tomorrow. You may sign up in my office, or Abad’s or Max’s office. If there aren’t enough, we’ll start drafting, and please, don’t make us do that. Dismissed!”

The trio of leaders walked to Abad’s office.
“So how many legends are we dealing with in Sinnoh?” asked James.
“Yeah,” said Max, “We’ve never dealt with them before.”
“It’s unclear,” said Abad, “Only a couple have actually been confirmed, but their have been reports of at least a dozen of them!”
“Great,” said Max, “We’re going on a witch hunt.”
“Sure sounds that way, Abad,” said James, “Are you sure we should go their long term? I mean, the PMC is shelling out tons of money for a Sinnoh base just so we can go protect Pokémon that may not exist?”
“Look,” said Abad, “Unlike us, the LPC are experts in legendary Pokémon. No offense Max, but your expertise has just about ended with the legendaries.”
“I know…but I still feel like there is something there, something calling me…”
“Maybe you should stay here, Max,” said James, “you’ve been running all over since your return, dealing with every legendary and some other major battles. If the LPC is heading to Sinnoh, that means they won’t be around here much longer, and you can take a well deserved break. Only thing you’d have to do is protect the legendaries here, and, as strange as this sounds, the LPC rarely attacked here, so if their moving base, their attacks here will be close to none.”
“No…I’m going with you guys. Back during the second war, we made a pact; it was us three, Shadow, Jay and Ricky. Since then, Jason joined the pact. In that pact it said where one goes, all go. Only reason I left was because things got quiet. When things got riled up, I came back. So if you guys think I’m staying behind that easy you better get your heads checked!”

A week later, several PMC private jets launched toward Sinnoh. Upon landing in Veilstone City, chaos had already begun.
People were running around screaming.
As a guy came racing down the street, Max stood in his way and said, “Sir stop!”
He kept on coming.
“Dude!” yelled Max, “Stop now!”
Just kept running.
As he reached Max, Max held out his arm and clotheslined him to the ground.
“You gonna talk now or would you like to meet my Aggron’s arm?” asked Max.
“It’s the LPC’s Locus! He’s using his Bug Pokémon to attack the city!”
The guy got up and ran.
Then, a boy with glasses and shorts came up to them and with a pre-teen voice said, “Max! I challenge you to a battle!”
“You Locus?” asked Abad.
“Yeah, so?”
“The Bug-Type trainer?” asked Jay.
“What is this? Twenty Questions?”
“And you want to face Max?” asked Shadow.
“YES!”
“Master of the world’s second strongest Charizard?” asked Jason.
“YES I DO!”
“This guy’s funny,” said James.
“WHAT DO YOU MEAN FUNNY?!?!?”
“Quick lesson for ya!” said Ricky as he pulled out his laptop, “Almost every Bug-Type Pokémon is totally undefended against a Fire-Type, especially one of the two Charizards that can use Blazing Kamikaze. You are mad for even THINKING it.”
“Oh really? Then prove it! You may have all your buddies backing up you and your Charizard, but I’ve got wits you scaredy-Meowth!”
“Fine,” said Max, “I’ll amuse you; go Charizard!”
“Make it a double! Use Lizardon!”
The whole PMC began laughing hysterically.
Then, Max looked at Locus, and said, “Guys, I think he’s serious.”
Max nodded at Charizard and then he looked at the sky and roared. Within seconds the mighty, char-colored Lizardon came nose-diving from the sky and landed.
“Shall we begin?” asked Max.
“Yes!” yelled Locus, “Masquerain, Drapion, go!”
“Flamethrower!” yelled Max to the father-son duo.
They did so.
“Hydro Pump!” yelled Locus.
The Hydro Pump from Masquerain eliminated the two Flamethrowers.
“Fire Fang!” yelled Max to Lizardon, who upon orders, charged at Drapion with blazing hot teeth.
But the impact only had a regular effect!
“What?” asked Max.
“Not familiar with Sinnoh region Pokémon?” asked Locus, “Drapion, the evolved form of the Poison-Bug-Type Skorupi, loses his Bug-Type during evolution for the Dark-Type, eliminating his weakness to Fire!”
“Didn’t see that one coming, very nice choice of Pokémon. But, don’t forget that Pokémon can use different kinds of moves! Charizard, Dig! Lizardon, Thunderpunch!”
Lizardon KOed Masquerain as Charizard shot out of the earth and sent Drapion flying.
“Now,” said Max, “GET OUT!!!!”
Locus ran off crying.
Then, a young girl in a battle-styled outfit came up to them.
“Hi! I’m Maylene, gym leader of Veilstone!” she said, “You must be the PMC.”

She led them to her gym, where she explained the recent happenings.
“Well,” said Maylene, “A few weeks ago, Locus came into town. He was ranting on about how his family made fun of him because he liked Bug-Types and there are no Bug-Type legendaries. Well, I guess that meant he wanted to prove himself, and he said that he would take over an entire city.”
“And Veilstone was his choice?” asked Shadow.
“Yep…but it looks like you guys finally drove him out.”
“Yeah,” said James, “We came to Veilstone because we received word that there was a building here we could use for our temporary headquarters.”
“Oh! The old Galactic building. They ran off to Kanto years ago, teaming up with some of the villains there. No one here really knows what happened to them.”
“They were part of that Ultimate Tournament scam me Max and Shadow won a few years back,” said Jay, “All their leaders are locked up for life now.”
“That’s awesome! Well, Cynthia, the Sinnoh Champ, gave this to me to give to you,” she handed Abad a key, “It’s the warehouse key. We have a guy here who specializes in key copying, so you might want to see him, he said he’ll do it for free!”

After making several copies of the key, the PMC got right at work making their new home!
The gang was sitting around a table with snacks and drinks talking and having fun for once.
“Ok, so let me get this straight,” said Jason, “The LPC’s bug master is a kid?”
“Let’s not forget,” said Ricky, “We all started off as kids.”
“Yeah,” said Max, “But not as leaders and champs, we were rookies who worked our way to the top.”
“Yeah, weren’t you born into a family legacy too, Max?” asked Shadow.
“Yeah, and it took me until I was eighteen to find out. I worked my butt off, and because of that, I got endorsement from Silph Co. and Devon Corp. Sure, my dad is famous, but I didn’t know that for a long time.”
“Case and point,” said James, “We can’t underestimate that kid. Even though Max beat him, he was well-prepared for Fire-Type moves.”
“Right,” said Abad, “BTW: tomorrow, some of our members will be bringing the Manaphy egg here. I thought that if and when that egg hatches, the LPC will go after it, so it would be best to bring it here, so they don’t go after the other legendaries.”
“Good idea, Abad,” said Ricky.
“So, Max,” said Jay, “You know what happened to Rich and J.C.?”
“No idea,” said Max, “Probably off training to be better than me.”
“You guys are pretty competitive?”
“I beat him in the final match of our first tournament, he’s never been able to live it down.”
“Well,” said Abad, “Let’s hope this chaos will be over soon so we can get on with our lives!”
The gang started cheering to Abad’s toast, and then a while later they went to bed.
