RE: Pokémon X / Y : Playthrough Questions & Answers

How do you calculate EVs on a pokemon if you know their stats and their IVs (Supposing the IVs are 31)? Is it even possible?

There's a bar thing in Super Training, so you know how many EVs you still need to get. There's also a chart for how many EVs you've put in each stat, but it won't give you the numbered total.

Yeah, I know that, but I was just wondering if there was a formula to calculate EVs using IVs and current stats.

RE: Pokémon X / Y : Playthrough Questions & Answers

Oh, right. Well, every 4 EVs means a Stat increase at level 100.

Is the Gift Lucario relevant after you get it? I wanna wonder trade it, because I already have my own lucario I've trained from level 8. Will I ever need it for anything in the future of the game?

RE: Pokémon X / Y : Playthrough Questions & Answers

The Pokemon itself is not useful if you have your own Lucario, but it's your only source of Lucarionite so you have to take it if you want it.

There is a way to caculate the exact total of Evs your pokemon has. What I do is I save my game. Then get out a reset bag. Use it on a pokemon I want to check the ivs on. (This will give you numbers on the stats) then I reset my 3ds. Easy :) the only hard thing is remembering what the numbers were. And getting the reset bag :p

In XY, is there a way to make Pokémon remember Egg Moves they used to have? I know there's a way to make them remember Event Moves, so I was wondering if it was the same with Egg Moves.

Just go to Dendemille town and the Move Reminder should make your Pokemon remember egg moves.

You can go to the Juice Shoppe in Lumiose and mix a Kee and Maranga Berry to get 'Perilous Soup', which also resets your EVs.

The only problem with that is it doesn't show the amount of EVs your pokemon has in each stat. Where as the reset bag will number the Evs you got :D

No you can't. It was never released with it's HA at all, even in gen 5.

That's so depressing! Leaf Storm would be so fun with him I thought I had a legit one but apparently it was just the intro on BW2 or 1 where it was like "dreams!". I have only sent Espeon to DW to get Magic Bounce.

But why are their hidden abilities even there if you can't get them. Cmon Game Freak...

Sometimes there are votes for which of the hundreds of Pokémon you get an Event of (with HA), but it always ends up being a Pokémon without a Hidden Ability that wins it, namely Arceus.

I had a weird experience with Grassy Terrain. From what I know, Grassy Terrain basically boost the grass-type moves in field and of course, heals a little every turn on every pokemon, including your opponents (which is completely stupid). However, in double battles, the Grassy Terrain does not heals your opponents HP. I was wondering if this turns out true (based on my experiences, it definitely happened--it heals my pokemon but not my opponents' Combee and Vespiquen in Reflection Cave, but I need confirmation STAT).

I'm wondering why the hell they had different results in those unique battles...I really don't get their logic. <.<

They have to be on the ground to get healed. Combee and Vespiqeun are flying.

Ohhh, of course.

Sorry, I had a "blonde" moment.

Thanks!

So an couple weeks ago TPCi announced some additions to the PokeMileage Club, something about balloons and stuff, but they also added a way to get the Discount Coupon from the PGL, by visiting it before early March. It's a one-time use item that gives you 50% off a single clothing transaction. Pretty neat and all, some of that stuff is really expensive, but there's one thing I'd like to know from someone who's downloaded it: Is the coupon automatically applied, or can you choose when to use it? I'm pretty early on in the game, so it wouldn't really do if I downloaded this coupon and had to wait until the end-game to finally buy new clothing. :/

In case you don't know about the Discount Coupon business (it definitely went under the radar): http://www.pokemon.com/us/pokemon-news/pgl_pokemileage-2014-01-14/
