Sounds like Nintendo needs to be more "down to earth"

Astonished at the fact we have NO ground types.....You KNOW there are gonna be more new ones we havent seen yet. Cant go without adding ground.
And how bout Steel & Poison...no love?

There are bound to be more Poison types, unless they plan on including a bunch of the older ones, and Steel Types are annoying enough already, with several top-tier Pokemon counted among their ranks. We don't need many more of those.

Switch those numbers around and it's about right. We have 30+ Ghost types and maybe 20 fairy types

Oh, no, that's actually 29 ghost, and...
20 retype fairies confirmed through leaks or official sources, so that's literally 1 more.

Yeah you're right. 27+ Honedge and Doublade. I was thinking of Giratina's alternate formes and Oorotto as being included

Klefki is bound to be steel. Might as well categorize it there for now, with an asterisk or something next to it, just so we don't forget.

Steel Pokémon are fun to fight. And i think there needs to be just straight up new steel pokemon. and poison as well. just make a steel/poison.

Steel/Poison would be tricky to conceptualize, I think. Unless we're talking serious chemistry in which ingesting a heavy metal element can cause serious sickness and even death.

EDIT: Also, remember Klinklang? Nintendo is clearly running low on good ideas for Steel types. A friggin' gear!? Come on!

Similary, Trubbish wasn't the most genius design concept either, so Poision isn't much better.

Poison hasn't gotten any love so far. Definitely not gonna include a Skrelp on my team so I'm really holding out for something awesome yet to come.

Precisely. All I wanted were new Pokémon so I could get used to them beforehand. What I do not want to know about is the plot and the characters!

Everyone who picks X won't get Skrelp even as an option, so there must be some other Poison guys out there, not including Venusaur and friends.

You could easily do some sort of machine type who is secreting oil. The oil being considered it's poison type. it could be a Boiler or something. and if not, there goes another fire/steel

Slap it with levitate, murder fairies and other things.

Personally I'm all good with the leaks stopping [I shouldn't have looked at Goomy/Sliggoo. I need to stop opening spoilers. Or leave the internet.], Nintendo didn't plan this anyway. Kinda sad, they plan awesome junk and we go and break it.

Oh well, they were being annoyingly slow anyway. Especially with the starters. If they release those on the day of release, i'm not sure how many would recoil spewing with hatred and not get the game, or get it later after absorbing the news, but still. I'll probably be warmed up to my starter of choice by the 12th, thanks to the leaks.
