Well, it's looking like our draft will be the weekend of the 17th-18th. I didn't get a response on when is best for you to draft, but I assume you'll be down for any time like usual, right?

Sounds good. I can't wait.

I'm still undecided on setting the roster. I like it how it is, but some of the players don't have multiple positions listed like they would under Yahoo. So, I'm thinking about taking one G, F, and C spot each out, and substituting three Utility spots instead.

I think how you have makes it very interesting. It means draft picks will be more important, especially those in the later rounds to fill the remaining slots.

True. Ok, I like a challenge. I'll keep it how it is.

Arkansas will be headed to Dallas to play Kansas State in the Cotton Bowl. This is just one piece of evidence that the BCS is a flawed system, and that college football needs a playoff system implemented as soon as possible.

The BCS is flawed, but I don't know if they'll have the audacity to change the system.

I've done a few and one actual draft on Yahoo. A couple of players fell my way, and I feel I got a pretty good team (12 teams, H2H, standard categories):

SG J. Richardson
G Conley
SF Ginobili
PF Lee
F Humphries
C Jefferson
C McGee
Util CJ Miles
Util Mo Williams

Bench:
Gerald Henderson
Nicolas Batum
Kenneth Faried

My goal in the real thing: to get as many Thunder players as I can. :)

Nah, I know drafting players just because they're from your favorite team is a cardinal sin, but it would be nice to have Westbrook and Durant.

You'd have to be lucky as heck to get them both in the draft. (They should both be gone by pick #5.)

And you might have to trade the farm to get the other.

True enough. ESPN's and Yahoo's rankings differ a lot in some respects. I'll need to do more mocks over on ESPN, since that is the medium I'm hosting our league on, after all.

I'm ready to start the draft and for the season to begin.

Since my winter break officially begins tomorrow, the few weeks between then and the start of the season will be a dead zone.

My Winter Break starts in 2 weeks. By the time our draft is over, I'll be on my Winter Break.

Lucky. But we don't have a fall break here, so that explains the early ending to the semester (and the next semester starts after MLK Day). But yeah, that reminds me, I need to get Pride to join already, and then I'll send out the PM regarding the official draft date and time.
